I had a feral cat living outside who had a broken leg. I called the humane society and everyone I could find. Finally called my vet said no problem we will let you use a cat trap and you can bring him and drop him off. So I got the cat trap. His leg was in awful shape. They took him and he had to be euthanized. I knew I would be charged but did not realize it would have to be paid that day. He wasn't even my cat. No one told me anything about charges when I called. So they called me and said I owe $320. I said ok can I pay it on payday. The doctor got on the phone and basically told me if she would have known I couldn't pay today she wouldn't have helped him. She basically yelled and told me what an awful person I was. What is bad is she is my vet for my inside cat. Or was. I will never go back to her. She is hateful and talks over you. I was just trying to help a feral cat who was in bad shape. I gave her my card number and said you can run the payment on payday

I have been taking my Yorkie to Southhall vet for almost 3 years . I have never experienced the disrespect that I had today from Dr. Townsend . This is a Dr that is supposed to care about animals I called the office today regarding my Yorkie she has been on Apoquel for more than a year and she is not responding to it anymore . She bites her feet all day every day . I wanted to speak with the doctor to find out if I had other options . She immediately wanted to throw her on prednisone again which we have tried before and it caused my dog to urinate every 15 min and doesn’t help her at all. Once I told her we had already tried that option she rudely talked over me and wouldn’t let me even speak . She did not care about my concerns for my pet at all. She wanted to charge me for another exam to try another medication on her . I advised her my dog had recently had an exam when she had all her vaccinations. Why would I need another exam just to try a different medicine my dog has came to you for almost 3 years. She immediately became even more rude and when I called her out on being rude to me. She said well if you want make an appointment you can make one and just hung up the phone on me. I will be picking up my dogs records from this vet and I advise do not trust their animal with this Doctor Who has such anger issues and towards patients she could very easily take it out on your pet . I have known employees that have worked for her and they have said the same thing about her attitude .she is mean and rude and I will never trust her with my pet again ! She has the worst bedside manner . No ma’am you will not see my fur baby ever again !!!!

I can not say enough wonderful things about South Hall Vet. The staff are amazing with my dog. They are always willing to work around my schedule. The prices are reasonable as well. We have been going here for several years and are happy with our experiences.

South Hall Veterinary Hospital is the absolute best! The staff here have always been fantastic… I really cannot say enough how great these people are! HUGE shout-out to Grooming by Kory! Every summer, we bring in our Husky for a haircut, and you can see how much better she feels (and looks!) getting all that hair shaved off of her! She’s like a brand new dog! If you’re looking for a vet hospital that is friendly, welcoming, and makes you (and your pets) feel valued, then I highly recommend South Hall Veterinary Hospital!

I found South Hall Veterinary after our previous service at Gainesville Veterinary Hospital was dismissive and took financial advantage of us during some crucial health concerns. The team at south hall gave us a thorough examination and a comprehensive explanation of what was going on with my sweet pup Winky. They will truly treat you as family and not take advantage of you financially. 10 out of 10 recommend! I look forward to a continued relationship with the doctor and staff here.
