Wow- great service and business. My dog was long overdue and I was expecting a hefty bill because of it. The appointment was fast, easy, and smooth and I picked up a happy dog!! They explained how the visit went with me and provided me with a wonderful summary of the visit. I’ll share his chart so you can see an example of what they provide, so transparent. His before and afters would be shocking if I could get a photo!! I couldn’t recommend this place more. Harrison and I say thank you South Coast!!

Mar 06, 2025 · Angel HackerSouth Coast Pet Dental exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I arrived, I found the parking lot easy to navigate, albeit a bit snug. Arriving a tad early ensured I snagged a spot hassle-free. Once inside, my cat Pacino was whisked away promptly by Dr.Danielle Spade and within 30-45 minutes, we were on our way with gleaming teeth! I had a pleasure of meeting the owner Aaron, who was extremely kind, incredibly attentive and efficient, ensuring each furry guest received top-notch care. Aaron and I shared a polite chat with another client. Pacino's experience was seamless, thanks to the effective AcePromazine, (prior to his dental) sparing him the need for additional Dex anesthesia. The $240 fee was well worth the sparkling results and peace of mind. There were no additional extractions or costs to my kitties dental. South Coast Pet Dental has earned my highest recommendation! I will be back soon with the rest of my cats. Thank you Aaron and Dr.Spade ;)
May 09, 2024 · Dominika ProcekExcellent staff and pricing! Very professional and kind to my pet. She was a little nervous at first, so they brought out another puppy who calmed her down. She came out in less than 40 minutes, happier than a clam and with beautifully clean teeth. I can tell they treated her very well! Thank you South Coast Pet Dental for your reasonable pricing and for taking good care of my fur baby! We will be coming back for her future cleanings :)
Oct 04, 2024 · Savannah Chapa3rd time there and last 2 times they changed the price when I went to pick my dog up and refuse to even let you see your dog until you pay through the app . (no notice on fee increase, ample time to make me aware, not due to complications) Last minute Price increase aside, the more concerning aspect is the withholding of the dog until you pay. Absolutely infuriating, anxiety inducing and pretty sure illegal. If they want full fee upfront then when you get there they should say hey you booked wrong and also we increased our fees after you booked but here is new fee , payment is required at drop off and if there are complications we’ll call you before proceeding with any extractions etc to confirm additional fee.. The 1st price change they said it was because I booked wrong when in fact there were 2 options shown on my phone, new client or returning, I selected returning ( since I was) but when I went to pick up my dog they said it was outside the timeframe ( I guess 11 months) to be considered returning and I needed to pay more since it had been a year. That was irritating but ok, it’s more work to clean teeth that haven’t been cleaned in a year and obviously their website options were not showing on my phone accurately…or so I thought. This last time I wasn’t sure of the date I’d taken him in last but I knew it was around 12/13 months so I selected new client, since last time I wasn’t eligible for “ returning”. Show up to get my dog get a text the new fee is now $350 not $230. They refuse to let me have my dog until I pay and the tooth cleaner guy is “ busy”. As I wait I notice they have pricing on the wall. It says new clients for a dog my size is now $275 ( not $230) but a returning client with dog my size is $350 ( not sure the old rate but pretty sure it was around $230 for my last visit being not eligible for returning rate )and rates are effective as of 1 day after I booked my appointment. So I have to pay this new elevated rate because you changed prices after I booked? Again asked for my dog while I wait to discuss with the dental guy about rates and they refused. 1. Why aren’t the price changes discussed at drop off ? Why wait until services rendered and then say oh yea forgot to mention it’s $100 more… 4. Why are there 700 options and prices with specific dates ? It’s not rocket science you are cleaning teeth. Ok dog size , has it been a year or less? What is going on with these weird specific timelines? My guess, make it as convoluted as possible so you can blame the customer for picking the wrong option . 3. Why is it so much more for a returning customer who visits annually ( ok 11-13 months is annual to me but to them it’s a big $$ difference) as opposed to a dog who has never had their teeth cleaned/ new client? 4. Why is 20 minutes of scraping tarter $350 at all. $17.50 a minute? Literally must have been under 20 minutes .. No it’s not like buying groceries, you don’t pick out groceries and view the price to find that by the time you check out and insert your card that the prices increased 30% and now your card is locked into place so you have to pay or you don’t get your card back. Also it’s a living animal you lock up and not a credit card. You’d think a new client/ never been cleaned before would be the most expensive option but you’d be wrong. Returning customers get the jacked rate. Outrageous. Please do better, our dogs are not bargaining chips. You have a person in front who should be fully capable of saying hey welcome back , just letting you know you selected the wrong time bracket the fee will actually be x. Also we increased fees this year and even though you booked prior to our increase since you selected the wrong time bracket you’ll need to pay our new fee. Or you can wait to talk to Aaron but here is your dog in the meantime. But no , it’s hey leave your dog when you come back to get him we’ll let you know the fee we charge and no we can’t give him to you until you pay the new fee. Stop it!!!!! Just be upfront and do t keep my dog as a bargaining chip
Jan 19, 2025 · nikki FairchildI messed up and missed my pet's dental cleaning yesterday - something I called in to admit and looking to rebook. I believe his name is Aaron who I spoke with. He directed me to the site - I asked if there was any way to use part of the $120 deposit towards a new appointment, keep in mind this whole time admitting I was at fault and apologetic. I said I was curious because $120 let's face it is a good chunk of change, and again was just inquiring. I really don't know if if he was having a bad day, but he was incredibly rude in all his replies and kind of left me awkwardly stunned with how unkind he was. Some things he said: I need to read fine print, if they allowed that they would "miss out on making a lot of money", and finally that he "didn't really get my logic" in all of this. To be honest, I fully expected I might have to lose that money at the end of the day, and that is fine as money comes and goes; plus this place had good reviews so I was fine if it came to that, with it being my fault. But my dog is my family, and after the way Aaron spoke to me, there is no way I am comfortable bringing her there. Hoping this review might reach the customer service side; policy is policy I get it, and was willing to take the dollar loss here until I was spoken to like that.
