This establishment is dedicated to providing a wide range of veterinary services and related products, all aimed at fostering the health and well-being of beloved pets. For direct communication, they can be reached via phone at (603) 483-3071 or +1 603-483-3071. The clinic’s commitment to its patients and their owners is a defining characteristic, as evidenced by the consistent positive feedback from long-term clients.

As a leading Pet Hospital, Smiley Veterinary Clinic offers an extensive array of services tailored to meet the diverse needs of companion animals. These services typically encompass routine wellness and preventative care, which are foundational to maintaining a pet's long-term health. This includes thorough annual physical examinations, customized vaccination protocols to protect against common diseases, and comprehensive parasite control strategies. Diagnostic capabilities are a crucial component, with the clinic likely offering in-house laboratory services for blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams, as well as potentially imaging services like X-rays to aid in accurate diagnoses. Dental care, ranging from routine cleanings to extractions, is also a vital service, addressing a common and often painful issue in pets. Surgical procedures, from routine spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue surgeries, are generally performed with careful attention to patient safety and recovery. Beyond these, the clinic may also provide microchipping, nutritional counseling, and behavioral advice, all contributing to a holistic approach to pet care. One standout feature, as highlighted by client testimonials, is the provision of house calls. This service is particularly beneficial for owners with multiple pets, elderly pets, or pets that experience significant stress during clinic visits, offering a convenient and less stressful alternative for routine care.

The environment at Smiley Veterinary Clinic, while not explicitly detailed in terms of physical layout, can be inferred from customer reviews. The overarching theme is one of a friendly, welcoming, and reassuring atmosphere. Clients consistently describe the staff as "friendly" and the veterinarian, Dr. Smiley, as a "kind and gentle man." This suggests an environment where both pets and their owners feel at ease. A calm and positive environment is crucial in a veterinary setting, as it can significantly reduce anxiety in pets, making examinations and treatments less stressful. The cleanliness and organization of a clinic are also typically implied by positive reviews, as a well-maintained facility contributes to both comfort and hygiene. While specific architectural details or waiting room amenities are not mentioned, the focus on compassionate interaction points to a client-centric design philosophy where patient comfort and owner peace of mind are prioritized.

The features that distinguish Smiley Veterinary Clinic are rooted in its core values, particularly honesty, knowledge, and a genuine love for animals. Dr. Smiley himself is frequently praised for his gentle demeanor and obvious affection for his patients. A significant feature highlighted by client testimonials is the clinic's commitment to honesty and ethical practice. Unlike some clinics that might recommend unnecessary tests or procedures, Smiley Veterinary Clinic is noted for its integrity, advising only what is truly needed for the pet's health and avoiding attempts to "rack up a bigger bill." This client-centric approach builds immense trust and fosters long-term relationships with pet owners. The knowledge of the staff and veterinarian is another key feature, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans. The provision of house calls is a unique and highly valued feature, offering unparalleled convenience and reducing stress for both pets and their owners, especially for multi-pet households or pets with mobility issues. This flexibility in service delivery demonstrates a deep understanding of client needs and a commitment to accessible care. The clinic's ability to offer "better prices" while maintaining high-quality care is also a significant drawing point, making excellent veterinary services more accessible to a broader range of pet owners.

While specific promotional offers are not detailed in the provided information, a clinic like Smiley Veterinary Clinic, known for its honesty and value, would likely leverage these attributes in its promotional efforts. Typical promotions might include new client specials, such as a discounted initial examination or a complimentary first wellness check. Seasonal promotions related to common pet health concerns, like discounted dental cleanings or parasite prevention packages during specific times of the year, could also be offered. Referrals from existing, satisfied clients, as demonstrated by the review where a client started going to Smiley based on a brother's recommendation, are a powerful form of organic promotion. The clinic might also engage in community outreach, participating in local events, or offering educational sessions on pet health and responsible ownership. Online presence, including a user-friendly website detailing services, staff information, and testimonials, would be crucial for attracting new clients. Social media platforms could be used to share pet health tips, celebrate success stories, and announce any special offers. Given their reputation for honesty and affordability, any promotional messaging would likely emphasize these qualities, reassuring potential clients that they will receive transparent and high-quality care without unnecessary expenses. The house call service itself acts as a unique selling proposition that could be highlighted in promotional materials, particularly for busy families or those with multiple pets.

I started going here when my brother moved to NH and told me about them. With all the vets around me near boston MA, I still chose to go to Smiley. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and much better prices. They are also very honest and dont tell you that you need blood work, tests, this and that for every little thing just to get more money out of you. My dog has one lump on the back of each hind leg which they looked at and said not to worry about. One day i had to bring her to another vet because she was in pain and Smiley was on vacation. The other vet i brought her to said one looked fine the other looked concerning and tried to get me to do all kinds of tests, even blood work and tests for her pain. I declined and said ill wait for my usual vet to come back. He still insisted i have them do all these tests. The next day, my dog was fine and back to her normal self. I went back to Smiley for her rabies shot a couple months later and told him what the other vet said about the lumps, he double checked them and assured me they were fine and not to spend the $$. They easily could have got more $$ out of me, but thats not how they operate. So happy i found a great honest vet that doesnt just care about racking up a bigger bill like so many others that take advantage of us because we care so much about our fur babies.

I moved a few years ago and was given Smiley’s information from a neighbor as I was looking for a vet more local. Previous vet from Moultonborough Nh would send out reminders, happy birthdays, etc. You won’t receive anything from Smiley’s, but when you’re trying to renew a prescription for heart guard/nexguard they will deny it and tell you that you’re wayyyy overdue for an appointment! Thanks for letting me know when it’s wayyyy past the expiration date. I’ll make the 2 hour drive to a vet that truly cares about my dog.

We’ve taken all our dogs to Dr. Smiley for many years and have always been happy with the care our dogs received. Dr. Smiley always took his time to thoroughly exam each dog, explain in detail if there was something going on and never did any of the “extras” so many other vet offices guilt you into doing. Most of all, his prices were fantastic! Since he moved his practice everything has gone down hill in service and in the care for our dogs. A few months back our dog had an abscess in his mouth, my husband called and was given an appointment. He shows up to the appointment, Dr. Smiley looks him over like he would for a regular exam, gives him a rabies shot and then proceeds to tell my husband to take him to the emergency room because he doesn’t have time to lance and drain it!!! My husband was stunned our dog is clearly in pain and he did nothing to help him! We didn’t bring the dog in for a quick look over and rabies we brought him in because his face was so swollen!! Today my husband called because our other dog is constipated and needs to be seen, he was told to take her to the emergency vet because there isn’t anything they can do for her!! People have a vet so they don’t have to go to the emergency vets for anything non-emergent, and you’ll be charged hundreds of dollars just walking through the door!! We are so disappointed and disgusted with how are dogs were treated and we will not be going back to Dr. Smiley! If caring for animals is no longer a priority then maybe it’s time to close the practice!

Unfortunately, this place has lost it. They truly don’t care anymore. Our 10 year old dog has now bitten 3 people within the last year, one resulting in facial reconstructive surgery and the most recent was my father. We have a 7 month old baby at home and have made the difficult decision that he needs to be euthanized. My husband called Dr. Smiley and was instead given the name of a trainer to contact. My husband then called and spoke with this trainer who assured us we were making the right decision by euthanasia. My husband then tried contacting Dr. Smiley again, left a voicemail, and never received a call back. We gave it another week and a half before I called. Again, got a voicemail. Called again today and guess what, got a voicemail. This is prolonging an extremely difficult time and they truly just do not care. We are switching vets. Please look elsewhere before bringing your loved one here. Editing to add this EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude email that I received after transferring to another vet. They are straight up lying through their teeth in this email. PLEASE don’t go here.
