This is the first Veterinarian that I had to use for our Pitbull and it turned out to be a great experience. The staff there is really friendly and Mr. Brady was very straight forward with the care that our dog needed to be back at 100%. Unfortunately they were running behind and I had to wait almost an hour after my scheduled appointment to be seen but stuff happens so I was not bothered by it, just be aware that you might be there a little longer than you plan to be. All the staff that I encountered were friendly and the location is upkept to the best of their abilities. The facility has adequate parking and it is easily accessible off the Carlisle Pike. Unfortunately, they are backed up as far as appointments go but it was worth the wait to ensure that our dog received the care that he needed. Regarding pricing, I believe it is fair for the services rendered but of course this is my first Veterinarian that I've attended in the area so I cannot compare it to other locations. Needless to say I was very satisfied with the care provided and we will be remain on board for future care of our Pitbull. Only reason for 4 stars is that the location did have lots of pet hair everywhere especially on the seating benches in the waiting area. To no fault of their own especially being a pet clinic but some cleaning up could be done just to increase the appeal of the waiting area.

Welcome to Silver Springs Animal Clinic

Welcome to Silver Springs Animal Clinic, located at 5 Sample Bridge Rd, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050, USA. As a member of the Pet Hospital category, Silver Springs Animal Clinic aims to provide veterinary care to the local community. However, based on recent customer feedback, it's important for local users to be aware of both the positive aspects and potential challenges associated with this clinic.

According to one reviewer, Silver Springs Animal Clinic is the first veterinarian they used for their Pitbull and it turned out to be a great experience. They found the staff to be really friendly and appreciated Mr. Brady's straightforward approach to their dog's care, which ultimately led to the dog's full recovery. Another reviewer also noted the friendliness of all the staff they encountered. These positive remarks suggest that the clinic strives to create a welcoming and supportive environment for pet owners and their animals.

In terms of the facility, one review mentions that the location is upkept to the best of their abilities and offers adequate parking with easy accessibility off the Carlisle Pike. This suggests that the physical environment is generally satisfactory for clients visiting the clinic. However, another reviewer pointed out a cleanliness issue in the waiting area, noting the presence of pet hair, particularly on the seating benches. While acknowledging that this is a pet clinic, they suggested that more frequent cleaning could improve the appeal of the waiting area.

Regarding the services provided, the positive reviews indicate satisfaction with the care received for routine pet health needs. Mr. Brady is mentioned for his directness and effective treatment plan for a Pitbull. Another reviewer felt that the pricing was fair for the services rendered, although they lacked a local comparison point as a first-time visitor in the area. These comments suggest that for standard veterinary care, Silver Springs Animal Clinic can provide satisfactory service.

However, a significant concern raised in the reviews pertains to appointment availability and emergency care. Multiple reviewers mentioned long wait times for scheduled appointments. One client reported waiting almost an hour past their scheduled time to be seen, advising others to be aware of potential delays. More alarmingly, a long-term customer expressed extreme disappointment following the sale of the practice a few years prior. They stated that their family, who had been loyal clients for years, had been unable to secure appointments for years and received no help during multiple emergency situations in the past five months. Specific examples included being told to put baking powder on a large laceration and being turned away when their dog was unable to use her back legs. This reviewer claims that such experiences are not isolated and are common among others they know who use this vet, strongly recommending against going to Silver Springs Animal Clinic unless one is prepared for extremely long appointment wait times or a lack of emergency support.

The stark contrast between the positive experiences with friendly staff and satisfactory routine care and the deeply negative experiences regarding appointment accessibility and emergency support is a crucial point for local users to consider. While the staff may be friendly and the care adequate under normal circumstances, the reported difficulties in securing timely appointments and the alleged lack of emergency assistance are significant drawbacks.

The features of Silver Springs Animal Clinic appear to include a friendly staff and a convenient location with adequate parking. However, potential drawbacks include long wait times for appointments and, according to one long-term customer, a severe decline in service and availability, particularly for emergency situations, following the sale of the practice. The cleanliness of the waiting area has also been mentioned as an area for potential improvement.

No specific promotional information or discounts are mentioned in the provided reviews. Therefore, local users would need to contact the clinic directly to inquire about any current offers or pricing for specific services.

In conclusion, Silver Springs Animal Clinic in Mechanicsburg, PA, receives mixed reviews. While some customers have had positive experiences with the friendly staff and the quality of routine care, there are significant concerns raised about long appointment wait times and a perceived lack of support in emergency situations, particularly after the practice was sold. Local users should carefully consider these points and perhaps seek more recent reviews or contact the clinic directly to assess whether their current needs can be adequately met.

For local users in Mechanicsburg, PA, Silver Springs Animal Clinic at 5 Sample Bridge Rd offers a conveniently located pet hospital with a friendly staff. However, it is strongly recommended to inquire about current appointment availability and their emergency protocols before choosing this clinic, given the serious concerns raised in recent feedback regarding these critical aspects of veterinary care. Weigh the positive comments about staff friendliness and routine care against the negative reports of appointment delays and lack of emergency support to make an informed decision for your pet's health needs.

After this practice was sold a few years ago, this practice literally went to hell. My family used to breed and show dogs and has taken all of our pets here since they opened, after the practice was sold we have been unable to get an appointment for YEARS. We have had multiple situations in the past 5 months where we need an emergency appointment and there has been absolutely no help from the staff. The first situation, my dog had a large laceration on her leg and they literally told us they could do nothing and told us to put baking powder on it. And this morning, my dog woke up unable to use her back legs. We called and said there was nothing they could do and were basically useless. Not only has something like this happened to us personally, but this is a normal occurrence for many other people we know that use this vet. Unless you want to schedule a vet appointment in fifteen years, do not go here. Extremely disappointing when you have been such loyal customers and the practice fails to even help you in an emergency situation. You are better off going to vet school than being able to schedule an appointment.

I brought my cat in for a check-up this week, which was my first visit to the office. We had a wonderful experience! It was super quiet and we were seen right away. From the receptionist to the vet, everyone we spoke to was super kind and helpful. They were thorough in explaining processes, costs, and next steps. I am certainly glad I brought my girl to Silver Springs!

On our first visit, we spent almost $800 to have tests and 2 gallons of fluid drained from our 15 yr old shepherd/husky mix. They wanted us to schedule another $800 ultra sound to determine what possible lymphoma was causing this fluid. She would have to be driven to Palmyra and dropped off for this. Because of her age and the cost, we decided against this. They told us to bring her back to have her belly drained should she begin to swell. 10 days after the first procedure, she began leaking fluid and swelling, we called and they earliest they could take her was 2 weeks. We showed up 15 minutes early for the appointment, she was weighed and we were put in a room. After an hour passed with no sight of anyone, we left because my husband had to go to work. What has happened to care and compassion? This poor dog has trouble getting in and out of a car, suffers terrible anxiety and is swollen up with 20lbs of extra fluid. We will be looking for a compassionate veterinarian to make her final days as comfortable as they can be.

Betty was in good hands. Pricing is transparent, they are up front with you and it's not as expensive as some places. Everybody was wonderful, the Dr called us before and after surgery. Highly recommended! So glad she can heal and be back home too play with her little brother. Wilma
