Pet owners beware! The office staff at this vet clinic are incompetent and rude. The staff lacks professionalism and empathy. Every time I called, I was on hold for a minimum of 10 minutes. And each time they answered, they could not find my information even though I had just been there hours before. However, they were very quick to charge us over $6000 for treatment that they never added to our signed estimate. The office manager and the rest of the front office staff were exhausting to work with. One front desk woman gave us attitude every time we came in with my dog. Again, awful demeanor. The cherry on top was when the same front desk woman began speaking loudly and negatively about the doctor in front of the clients in the lobby. Amazing that this place employs staff like this. I will say this, Dr. Atalla was a very kind and understanding vet. She explained things thoroughly and provided options for pet care. She is the only reason I did not give a lower rating.

Navigating the landscape of pet care can be a crucial task for any pet owner. Choosing the right pet hospital involves considering various factors, including the environment, the range and quality of services offered, the expertise and demeanor of the staff, and the overall experience reported by fellow pet owners. Signal Hill Pet Hospital aims to be a reliable resource for the community, providing medical care and support for your furry, scaled, or feathered family members.

Based on available information, specifically feedback from pet owners who have sought care at Signal Hill Pet Hospital, it's important to present a balanced perspective. Some pet owners have voiced significant concerns regarding the professionalism and efficiency of the front office staff. Reports mention instances of prolonged wait times on the phone, difficulty in locating patient information, discrepancies between treatment estimates and final charges, and experiences of rude or unhelpful interactions with some members of the administrative team. One review specifically highlights an instance of a front desk staff member speaking negatively about a doctor within earshot of clients in the lobby, raising serious questions about internal professionalism and client relations.

Another pet owner recounted a frustrating experience involving a delay in their pet being seen due to the doctor's lunch break, followed by what they perceived as an unreasonable additional charge for a simple bandage application after a costly initial consultation. This feedback underscores the importance for pet hospitals to ensure transparent communication about their operational procedures and pricing policies, as well as to foster a customer-centric approach at all levels of interaction.

However, it is also crucial to acknowledge the positive feedback received. One reviewer specifically commended Dr. Atalla for her kindness, understanding, thorough explanations, and provision of various pet care options. This positive sentiment regarding the veterinary expertise and bedside manner of at least one of the practitioners suggests that the quality of medical care provided by the veterinarians at Signal Hill Pet Hospital may be a significant strength.

Considering these varied perspectives, local users seeking a 'Pet Hospital' in the Signal Hill area are encouraged to weigh all available information when making decisions about their pet's care. While the medical expertise of the veterinary staff, such as Dr. Atalla, appears to be a positive aspect, the reported issues with the administrative and front office operations are areas that potential clients may want to consider. A smooth and professional administrative process is integral to a positive overall experience at any service-oriented establishment, including a pet hospital, as it directly impacts communication, trust, and client satisfaction.

When choosing a pet hospital within the 'Pet Hospital' category, local users typically look for a facility that offers a comprehensive range of services. These services often include routine check-ups and vaccinations to maintain your pet's general health and prevent diseases. Diagnostic services, such as laboratory tests, X-rays, and ultrasounds, are crucial for identifying and understanding various health conditions. Surgical procedures, ranging from routine spay and neuter surgeries to more complex operations, are also a vital component of veterinary care. Dental care, including teeth cleaning and extractions, is essential for your pet's oral health. Furthermore, many pet hospitals offer emergency care services to address urgent medical needs that may arise outside of regular hours.

Beyond medical services, the environment of a pet hospital plays a significant role in the comfort and well-being of both pets and their owners. A clean, welcoming, and well-organized facility can help to alleviate stress and anxiety associated with veterinary visits. Comfortable waiting areas, examination rooms designed with the animal's comfort in mind, and appropriate facilities for housing and recovering animals are all important aspects of a positive environment.

Features that distinguish a pet hospital within the competitive 'Pet Hospital' category can include specialized services, such as cardiology, dermatology, or oncology. The availability of advanced medical equipment and technologies can also be a key differentiator, allowing for more accurate diagnoses and effective treatments. A strong emphasis on client education, with veterinarians and staff taking the time to explain conditions and treatment options clearly, can build trust and empower pet owners to make informed decisions about their pet's health.

These may include online presence through websites and social media, where they might share information about their services, introduce their team, and offer seasonal promotions or health awareness campaigns. For local users in Signal Hill seeking a 'Pet Hospital,' it would be prudent to consider the full spectrum of available information. While the positive feedback regarding the medical expertise of at least one veterinarian is encouraging, the reported issues concerning the administrative aspects and customer service are important factors to weigh. Let me first say this is not my normal veterinarian and let me tell you why. My little Maltese had torn her dewclaw nail and her Paw was quite bloody. I couldn't get in to see my normal vet, so I called the next closest one. I made an appointment for 2:00. My husband took my little dog in at 2:00. Well it seems the doctor goes to lunch from 12:00 to 2:30 so he sat there until 2:45 waiting to be seen $305.00 later, they brought her out and said we could take her home and she needed a bandage on her foot but it would be an extra 47.00 I just about lost my marbles. I pulled the doctor aside and I told her I didn't think it was right. I just spent $300 and now she wants another $47 to put a Band-Aid wrap on my dog's foot. These people don't care about your animals, Horrible customer service all about the bottom line I'll stick to the Broadway Pet Clinic. Thank you very little.

We brought three kittens in due to them declining and the first thing out of the vets mouth was we shouldn’t get attached and then commented that she could see we already were. Had reported symptoms that the vet somehow seemed surprised about “oh they are having diarrhea?”. They had white gums from dehydration and one especially wasn’t doing well. They didn’t do anything but give us some nutrient tube we could have gotten at petsmart and the vet was gone out the door before we left. We weren’t told that she was unstable which we could tell she was by looking at her and they sent a fecal test to the lab. Didn’t give liquids didn’t check blood sugar, nothing. One of the three passed during the night and the other two were on the way down too, we took them to Long Beach Animal Emergency today instead and they immediately put one on catch fluids and admitted and didn’t release the other until he was stable. This kind of care was not even offered here and we were sent home to have our animal wither to death while we tried to grab some sleep. If it was about money I would have paid it like I did today at LBEV, it just seemed like they didn’t care enough to even look. No one from the other hospital could explain why we were sent home like this last night. This may be emotional over “just a kitten” but I will forever think what could have gone different if I spoke up or went somewhere else. Attached is a picture of Jeff who’s improving greatly thanks to LBVE

Very reasonable prices compared to other vets in the area. Staff is courteous and caring. You may have to wait a bit of you're a walk-in. They treated my cat Socks really well, gave vaccines, and did FIV test. He had to be boarded for nearly a week (due to fumigation of my apartment), and everyone treated him like a VIP -- he got lots of attention! Thanks Signal Hill staff, we appreciate all your work!

I have been to this place twice and my experience was good the staff are very helpful when you call them if you have any questions. And the waiting time is shorter than other places I love that they get things done quickly. I highly recommend for shots! Teddy has no issue after his shots.
