Dr Chris is direct, concise, and doesn't push extra services. Prices are very fair. We had to say goodbye to our beloved cat last year and the office was very accommodating and supportive of our family as we said our goodbyes. Now with new furry members in our family, I can say we feel confident in the teams expertise and care for our needs. We are lucky to have such a wonderful vet clinic local to us.

Based on the available online reviews, Shrewsbury Veterinary Clinic presents a mixed picture of customer experiences. On the positive side, one reviewer described Dr. Chris as direct, concise, and not one to push unnecessary services, noting that their prices are very fair. This customer also appreciated the office's accommodating and supportive nature when they had to say goodbye to their beloved cat.
Another reviewer, now with new pets, expressed confidence in the team's expertise and care for their animals' needs, considering themselves lucky to have such a wonderful local vet clinic.
However, a starkly contrasting review details a tragic incident where the reviewer's pet died during a tooth extraction procedure. This reviewer alleges that the death was due to staff negligence involving the anesthesia machine and further claims that the vet provided a false explanation for their pet's death. This review expresses significant distress and accuses the clinic of a lack of transparency.
Given these contrasting accounts, it's important for local users seeking a pet hospital to weigh these experiences carefully. While some customers have found Shrewsbury Veterinary Clinic to offer fair prices, direct communication, and supportive care, the serious allegation of negligence and misrepresentation in another review raises significant concerns. Information regarding the clinic's environment, a comprehensive list of services, and any promotional information is not available beyond what is implied in these personal experiences.
Prospective clients may want to seek further information or clarification from the clinic directly and consider these varied experiences when making their decision.

Dec 04, 2024 · Irina Figueroa-VelezAccidentally KILLED fur baby & LIED about it- We took our sweet baby to have a tooth pulled at the vet’s recommendation. The vet or staff accidentally left the valve closed on the anesthesia machine, killing our angel. The valve should only to be closed to test for leaks and ALWAYS be opened. I understand everyone makes mistakes, but the vet did lie to us about how she died- telling us it was an allergic reaction (as if we wouldn’t read the surgery report). I recommended the use of a safer valve and he said they have one on order.
Jul 10, 2024 · Melissa CaplesMy dog loves going to the vet. No seriously, he loves it. All the techs fawn over him, the doctor adores him and is so good and gentle with him. Wonderful people that treat your pet like their own. We wont be going anywhere else. Picture below of him pouting bc the doctor was in another room helping a different fur baby.
Apr 08, 2019 · Jessica LambertI absolutely adore Dr. Chris and his entire staff. They’ve always been friendly and professional, I’m able to get an appointment quickly, and the office is always clean. Our dog suffers from seizures and pancreatitis and after being put on a prescription diet food and taking phenobarbital, no more pancreatitis and his seizures are milder and less frequent. Keep up the great work Shrewsbury Vet!
