This companies customer service is next level bad. I ordered the puppy package. I assumed my puppy would receive the vaccine in a building, but no. It was outside in the rain and cold and on a friggin folding table. I call to ask for a refund of what I didn’t use and was allegedly granted said refund. I waited the 5-7 business days I was told and nothing. I called them back and was promised the supervisor was fixing it and that it would be another 5-7 business days. Still nothing. I call today and am told that the ticket was AGAIN not submitted and that I would need to trust them again that it would be done correctly this time. I suggested the rep reverse the charge and then charge me appropriately rather than me waiting more time. I was told a manager needs to approve that, so I asked to speak to one and was told there weren’t any there on Wednesdays and Thursdays. This outfit is a joke. Stay away

Welcome to ShotVet
ShotVet operates as a distinctive model within the "Pet Hospital" category, differing significantly from traditional brick-and-mortar veterinary clinics. Rather than a fixed, full-service animal hospital, ShotVet specializes in providing affordable and accessible preventative pet care, primarily through pop-up clinics hosted at various partner locations. The information provided specifically points to a location at "For the Love of Dogs, 259 Front St, Lincoln, RI 02865, USA." This business model emphasizes convenience and cost-effectiveness for pet owners seeking routine vaccinations and other essential preventative services.
The "environment" of a ShotVet clinic, as described by customer experiences, is notably different from a conventional veterinary office. Unlike a traditional clinic with exam rooms and a dedicated waiting area, ShotVet clinics often operate in outdoor or semi-outdoor settings, such as parking lots or designated areas within partner retail establishments. For the specific Lincoln, RI location at "For the Love of Dogs," this would imply services are provided on-site, potentially utilizing a setup like a folding table, as one customer describes. This mobile or pop-up nature means that the environment can be subject to external factors like weather conditions (rain, cold), which may impact the comfort of both pets and their owners during the visit. The company's website suggests that their setup is designed to be "a relaxed, dog-like atmosphere rather than a clinical vet hospital," aiming to minimize stress for pets by keeping owners present throughout the process.
The core services offered by ShotVet revolve around preventative pet health. Their primary offerings include vaccinations, often bundled into "puppy packages" or other comprehensive packages for dogs and cats, which aim to provide all required shots for preventative health care at a discounted rate. These packages can include vaccinations for rabies, DA2PP (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus) for dogs, FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia) for cats, and potentially other vaccines like Bordetella, Lepto, or Feline Leukemia. Beyond vaccinations, ShotVet also provides services such as strategic deworming, heartworm testing, and may offer flea and tick prevention and microchipping. They claim to use the "same high-quality brands your local vet uses," focusing on delivering essential preventative care without the additional costs typically associated with full-service veterinary visits, such as office or exam fees. While they perform an examination in accordance with state law, they do not charge an exam fee, aiming to make preventative care more affordable.
A key feature of ShotVet's business model is its emphasis on affordability and accessibility. By eliminating traditional overheads associated with a fixed veterinary practice, they aim to offer lower prices for common preventative services. Their pop-up clinic model allows them to reach a wider demographic of pet owners, providing services "every weekend" at various partner locations, including PetSmart, Petsense, CVS, and Rite Aid, in over 30 states nationwide. The "FastPaws" system allows clients to prepay online, theoretically streamlining the check-in process at the clinic events. Another advertised feature is the ability for owners to stay with their pets throughout the procedure, which is intended to reduce stress for the animals and foster transparency for the owners, as services are performed "openly in front of you." ShotVet states their services are provided by "state-licensed veterinarians," aiming to ensure consistent and high-quality care.
However, despite the intended benefits, customer reviews highlight significant challenges and criticisms, particularly concerning customer service and operational execution. The provided testimonials repeatedly describe "next level bad" customer service, characterized by unfulfilled refund promises, repeated non-submission of service tickets, and difficulty in reaching managerial staff. The experience of receiving vaccinations outdoors in adverse weather conditions (rain and cold, on a folding table) directly contradicts the expectation of a controlled, professional environment often associated with a "Pet Hospital." Furthermore, issues like alleged miscommunication about prescription availability and charges, lack of receipts or rabies tags, and even claims of clinics being canceled without proper notification or staff being "impaired" have been reported in broader online reviews. These concerns indicate potential inconsistencies between the advertised streamlined, stress-free experience and the actual delivery of services in some instances. The complaints suggest a disconnect in communication and resolution processes within the company, leaving some clients feeling frustrated and distrustful.
In terms of promotional information, ShotVet primarily promotes itself on the basis of being "low-cost," "convenient," and "stress-free." They market their packages as a great value for essential preventative care, aiming to bridge the gap in pet healthcare affordability. While the general concept of accessible, low-cost vaccinations is appealing, potential customers should be aware of the recurring themes in negative reviews related to service delivery and customer support. For inquiries, ShotVet can be reached at their phone numbers: (407) 792-0384 and mobile phone +1 407-792-0384. Given the nature of their operations, prospective clients are advised to confirm specific clinic details, environmental conditions, and service availability directly with ShotVet, especially for the particular pop-up location at "For the Love of Dogs" in Lincoln, RI, and to clarify any policies regarding refunds or prescription services prior to engaging for care.
