My dogs have been patients of Dr Archer for easy 20 years. Him and the staff go above and beyond to care for my dogs. He is so knowledgeable and compassionate. He truly has a gift because he cares so much for all animals. Dr. Archer and his staff explain everything that’s going on with my dogs which makes me feel confident in knowing that they’re in good hands. One of my previous dogs was so scared when she would go to the vet that She would lay underneath the seat I was sitting in. Dr Archer would get down on the floor to give her her exam so that she would feel completely comfortable. I don’t know any other vet that would do something like that to make the animal feel at ease. In my opinion, he’s like the dog whisperer. He’s so kind and gentle and that’s not something you could fake. That’s just the type of person he is. I highly recommend him and his staff to anyone that is looking for a dedicated compassionate vet for their pets.

I've been to a lot of vets, and the staff and vets are amazing. they are always so kind and attentive. they are sometimes busy yes, but that's a good sign for a vet! they have good hearts and deeply care about the animals and that's a lot more then i can say for vets I've been to.... Dr. Grey is fantastic and the front desk girls, techs, and assistants are as well. people need to remember that vet medicine isn't cheap hence why it is so important to get insurance for your pet! taking pricing out on the staff and bashing a business for prices isn't fair. i would 100% recommend. Dr grey got to the bottom of my cats very rare auto immune disease and reassured my paranoid mind the whole time! takes care of all my other pets as well

Dr. Archer and his team at Shirley Veterinary Hospital and Healing Hands 4 Paws are the best of the best. I have been involved in dog rescue for years and have meet and worked with so many veterinarians from all over the world, but Dr. Archer and his staff are truly exceptional. Dr. Archer's genuine care of his patients shines through in everything he does. He personally spent so much time working with my senior golden retriever, Bailey, to make sure she was comfortable and getting all of therapies that she needed so that she could get stronger. Bailey was slow and nervous, but never once did Dr. Archer or anyone else rush her to keep on schedule. Instead, they gently encouraged her, gaining her trust, and in so doing, they developed a relationship with Bailey that allowed her to benefit greatly from her therapy. I can truly say they cared for my dog as if she were their own. I am eternally grateful for all that they did to help her.

This review is dedicated to Nicole/ Nikki. As me and my wife went through a tragic accident with our puppy of five months she went ABOVE AND BEYOND for my wife in her time of need. She literally acted like a family member the whole time my wife was at the hospital. Her compassion in checking in on my wife and making sure she's okay speaks volume that not only customer service exists but that angels are on earth. I will not go into deeper details because its too hard to type this review but without Nikki we would of left the hospital. There was one older lady who just even approaches you with a nasty attitude coming out of the office. I am sorry but if you work with animals you need to understand animals are like children to most animal parents. If it wasn't for Nikki and Mary we would of never stayed. Please give this place a chance and ask for Nikki. She deserves all the praise in the world. We love you Nikki!!!

I will never go back to this dump. If you care about your pets take them somewhere else. I had an appointment today for my 2 pets, 10 am sharp. I get there on time, I don't see a doctor until one hour later. No one even comes in to tell me they're a bit busy and it'll be a while. Dr comes in I ask what's going on and she explains that the 9 am appointment showed up super late, I explain this should not have been my problem since I was on time and the person who was late should have been made to reschedule, Catherine Grey apologized. So we move forward, I explain to her my pet does not like being held by others and the dr should either let me hold my pet as she does what she needs to do or let my pet on the floor. Dr grey disregards what I say, and since my pet is squirming off her hands she drops my pet on the floor from a hip height table. I accuse her of dropping my pet and she says he jumped off, I didn't attend vet school but if a pet falls hind legs first and lands on their back-they were dropped. So she then gives him his shots on the floor with me helping as I firstly suggested and he is much more agreeable. I and leave only to see that I was charged 190$ (95$ each) for a 20 minute examination which never took place, all they did was weigh my pets. So 1 disputed the charge. They didn't take their temperatures, look in their mouth, or ears. No proper examination was done and the invoice clearly states 20 minute exam. Trying to charge me 95$ for placing a pet on a scale is insane. And when they leave the room they leave 4 open needles that they used to give my pets vaccines in the room. Why is there not a sharps container in these examination rooms? Will never come back here again
