Shamrock Animal Hospital

I went here with a friend who had to put her dog to sleep. The service by the techs and the vet in the back were amazing, very compassionate. However, on our way out, the lady at the front desk made a few comments, which definitely took away from the compassion and empathy expected when grieving a loved pet. That interaction is what makes me lower my rating of the location.

My Two Girls & I just moved to the area, and We All Agree that Shamrock Animal Hospital is 5 Stars. The Entire Staff is Extremely Friendly & Professional which made yesterday’s first visit Absolutely Stress-Free.

Dr. Fagan and her team are great to work with. I have been taking my dog there for 8 years. The team is very respectful to your pets needs. Yesterday I had to say goodbye to my 18 year old Chihuahua. Dr.Fagan and Cheyanne were very sensitive to my grief in having to let my baby go! I highly recommend Shamrock for your pets needs. You will not be disappointed!

We really appreciate this veterinary hospital. Even though we were not patients at first, they were able to get us in on an emergency with our sick dog who had lymphoma. They helped him greatly through his end of life providing treatment that extended his life another month and a half. Now we have two new puppies and one became very ill. They have been so concerned and helpful in every way. They did have to send him up to a specialist in Jacksonville, and now they are doing the follow-up treatment. Dr. Fagan and Dr. Smith are wonderful as well as the complete staff. They are warm, welcoming and accommodating. We highly recommend!!!

From the front staff to the veterinarian everyone is so welcoming and friendly. First vets office I have ever been to that when you walked in there was not one odor of animals just clean! The entire facility is immaculate. We have a German Shepherd that can be very aggressive especially towards strangers. They handled him with love and kindness. They kept reassuring us he was absolutely fine and still welcomed him knowing he can be aggressive. I can see first hand why Shamrock Animal Hospital came highly recommended!! I am so excited for the entire staff to help us give our boy the healthiest life possible!! This place is an absolute gem!! Our boy Sin gives Shamrock Animal Hospital 2 paws up!!!

What a world of difference at Shamrock! The phone calls are pleasant, Liz greets you like you're an old friend when you walk in the door, Cheyenne is so attentive & knowledgeable, & Dr. Fagan is so kind & informative (and also fun!). Their staff sets the standard for customer service. Most everything was done right in front of us, we weren't charged a biohazard fee when our girl had an accident, & the only minor issue she has was addressed with the simplest, least invasive, most cost-efficient solution first. No pushing us for unnecessary surgeries, procedures, specialists, vaccines, or medications that another vet was constantly insisting on. In fact, a second opinion at Shamrock confirmed that our Journey is just as healthy as she has always been. We were spending so much money every 3-4 weeks at another vet who had us believing there were major issues requiring surgeries & specialists. We were so relieved to find out that Journey won't need to endure any of that. If you are looking for a practice that still prioritizes health & compassion, this is it. This was by far the best experience we have had. We are so happy to have found our new vet!

Going to Shamrock has been such a delight from the moment I called to see if they were taking new patients. Mary ALWAYS answers the phone in a great mood! Wednesday, we had our girl fixed. I was extremely nervous as this was my first pet to experience a surgery. The process was SO SMOOTH! Drop off was smooth! Lacie called me before & after surgery. They even sent me photos of my babygirl 🥰 When I called at the 2 hour post op mark they didn’t seem annoyed at all. They called before they went home to let me know she was good! The next morning they sent me a photo of her and updated me. I couldn’t have been more happy with our experience and I feel such a sense of relief knowing my girl has doctors & techs that truly love & care for her!

It was 2/18 that the owner reached out to us. While it was a productive conversation, he promised to refund the $ that was paid for an unneeded rx. He said he was going to cut the check the next morning and drop.it in the mail. As of today, 10 days later NO REFUND. We now don't trust the clinic with the care of our dog at all. Also, she received a vax that is an every 2 years that she had last year, without our approval. We only approved the blood work and "kennel cough", not the distemper. She had a reaction to it. We may contact the state about this. The owner reached out to us and we are going to give them another try. He assured us that this level of care is not the norm. We were excited to take our dog to a new vet. It was just for the basic yearly shots. She is a rescue who was abused in the past. We made that clear. She has alot of anxiety. The tech spent alot of time with us. She took her for what we thought was only a quick blood draw but they did more. I'm sorry we didn't have the opportunity to go back with her. Her anxiety kicked into high gear and her nail was ripped off. She was back there for so long, we knew something happened. We wished the vet would have visited with us in the room to get to know our dog before trying a procedure, especially since we are new clients. After the vet explained to us what happened, she left the room and didn't say someone would be back to finish. We didn't know what to do so I had my husband take the dog to the car so she would feel safe and I went to the desk to find out what I should do. This is the first time we took a healthy dog to the vet and left in not so good shape. The front desk staff was very nice. The techs were very nice. In fact, she didn't introduce herself I thought maybe she was the vet. We didn't see the vet until she had to tell us our dog was hurt. I'm not happy I had the extra expense of antibiotics, pain meds and cleaner. I am hoping this is not the norm. It was not Dr. Fagan that saw her. I am hoping that that there will be no infection.
