I visited this clinic with my husband to get my dog his first shots a while ago. My family has had dogs before, and I have always gone inside the clinic to wait with our animals. My dog is young and I'm still trying to train him to handle strangers without freaking out. I was sitting in the lobby and treating him when he called down. That is when I heard the lady at the front desk talking with another pet owner (a lady with a cat) about how poorly behaved my dog was. I vaguely remember something about how some people shouldn't have pets. I should have left. It's been months and I'm still thinking about how much shame I felt in that moment. The front desk lady then proceeded to give my husband attitude about not having waited outside. There are signs with numbers that look like those signs for pick up only at grocery stores. Usually those signs are for reserved parking and we were given no indication that we were supposed to park at one of them. My husband was the one that called to set up the appointment and was not told about them either. The front desk woman made us both feel like we were stupid for not waiting in our car at one of those signs. The medical staff were lovely, and made my anxieties about our dog go away. Still, I don't like the thought of dealing with that front desk woman ever again. I realize we might have been bothering her, but why did she have to make me feel so small for just trying my best. We will find another place to take our dog to where I don't feel like a burden.

Based on the reviews from real customers, Seneca Animal Hospital presents a mixed picture. On one hand, the medical staff, including the veterinarians and technicians, are consistently described as "lovely," "amazing, kind, compassionate and knowledgeable." One long-term client of over 20 years stated that Seneca Animal Hospital is "the only one that I will take my animals to." Another reviewer who had to make the difficult decision to euthanize their 14-year-old dog, Sadie, praised Dr. Moore for seeing their pets from puppyhood to their senior years and for helping Sadie cross the Rainbow Bridge with dignity. They also commended the technicians for their gentleness. This strongly suggests that the medical care provided at Seneca Animal Hospital is of a high standard, with a team that is both skilled and empathetic.
However, one reviewer shared a negative experience specifically with the front desk staff. During a visit to get their dog's first shots, they were made to feel shame and stupidity by a front desk employee regarding their handling of their dog in the lobby and their parking choice. This feedback indicates a potential inconsistency in the overall customer service experience, despite the positive interactions with the medical team. It's important for prospective clients to be aware of both the strengths and potential weaknesses highlighted in these reviews.
Regarding the environment of Seneca Animal Hospital, the positive reviews focusing on the medical staff suggest a caring and professional setting where animals are treated with kindness and gentleness. The mention of procedures like euthanasia being handled with dignity implies a compassionate environment, especially during difficult times. However, the negative comment about the front desk interaction points to a potential disconnect between the medical care environment and the client reception experience. Without further information, it's challenging to provide a comprehensive description of the physical environment beyond these contrasting experiences.
The services offered at Seneca Animal Hospital appear to be comprehensive, catering to pets throughout their lives. This includes routine care such as first shots for puppies, as well as management of health in senior animals, and compassionate end-of-life care, including euthanasia. The long-term client's statement about taking their animals there for over 20 years suggests they provide a consistent and reliable range of veterinary services. The mention of Dr. Moore seeing pets from puppy to senior stages indicates expertise in various life stages. While specific services like surgery, dental care, or diagnostics are not explicitly detailed, they are typically part of the offerings of a well-established animal hospital.
Key features of Seneca Animal Hospital, based on the positive feedback, include their amazing, kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable veterinarians and technicians. Their long-standing presence in the community (over 20 years of service to one client) speaks to their reliability. The provision of dignified end-of-life care is another significant feature. However, a potential area for improvement, based on one review, is the customer service experience at the front desk.
In terms of promotional information, the strong endorsements of the medical staff and the compassionate care provided, especially during sensitive times like euthanasia, serve as compelling reasons to choose Seneca Animal Hospital. The loyalty of long-term clients further attests to the quality of their veterinary services. For pet owners seeking a Pet Hospital with a caring and knowledgeable medical team, Seneca Animal Hospital appears to be a strong contender. However, prospective clients might want to be mindful of the potential for a less than satisfactory experience with the front desk staff, as indicated in one review.
To learn more about the specific services offered at Seneca Animal Hospital, their hours of operation, or to address any concerns raised by the reviews, local pet owners are encouraged to contact them directly at (864) 882-8747 or +1 864-882-8747. Speaking with their team directly can provide a clearer understanding of what to expect from their services.
In conclusion, Seneca Animal Hospital in Seneca, SC, is a Pet Hospital that has garnered praise for its amazing, kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable medical staff, including veterinarians and technicians. They offer a range of services catering to pets throughout their lives, from initial vaccinations to end-of-life care. While one review highlighted a negative experience with the front desk, the consistent positive feedback regarding the medical care suggests that many clients have had very positive experiences. If you are looking for a Pet Hospital where the medical team is highly regarded for their expertise and compassion, Seneca Animal Hospital is worth considering.

May 04, 2025 路 CazI鈥檝e been a client of SAH for over 20 years. They are the only ones that I will take my animals to. All of the staff, veterinarians and technicians are amazing, kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. Today I had to make one of the hardest decisions of my life and let my sweet 14 year old Pibble Sadie cross over to the Rainbow 馃寛 Bridge. Dr Moore has seen my fur babies from the puppy stages to the senior stages and I wouldn鈥檛 have it any other way then for him to help my animals cross with dignity. The technicians that came in to prepare her were amazing and so gentle with my sweet Sadie. Thank you Dr Moore for always being there for my pet family members. Your kindness and gentleness today will always stay with Sean and myself.

Everyone at Seneca Animal Hospital is extremely patient and helpful to make it as stress-free as possible. The vets I鈥檝e seen have been great at explaining everything and the techs are also really great. Definitely recommend.
