Second Chances Veterinary Care

I had a frustrating experience at this clinic. While it's cheaper to see a vet tech, a quick 15-minute consultation with a veterinarian costs over $100. Additionally, they charge $15 for each prescription they send to a pharmacy, and their in-house prices are even higher. The process feels invasive and has been very costly—I've already spent over $700 without getting any clear answers about my pup's health. All I know is that she may or may not have cancer. I've decided to take her to Golden Paws for better care. I'm done with this place!

Second Chances is absolutely fabulous. The staff is caring and go above and beyond the status quo. Recently, I needed fluids for my terminal cat on short notice and they went well out of their way to work with me. I was so relieved that my cat I was able to get my cat feeling better. The vets are experienced and knowledgeable, the clinic does not price gouge, and they usually have appointment available within a day or two. I will be taking all of my animals here from now on.

If you love your pet avoid this place the receptionist is rude, and they lied to us about putting a stitch in stead they had used staples on top of that when my wife called the canceled the appointment they tried to say that they did not vaccinate our dog Even when they gave us the paperwork saying they had this place is gone downhill ever since lakeside animal hospital went out of business I do not recommend them for any veterinary needs it seems like amateur hour in there. It is also very unsanitary when my wife took our dog she saw roaches on the floor and some other bugs as well.

Our golden retriever had an aural hematoma on her ear flap. These are often challenging to treat. Dr. Lisa and staff took their time and care to work us through it. When I ultimately chose a surgical drain placement, they scheduled us quickly and were helpful when I needed advice over the phone for home care and medications. They also were very loving and affectionate with my sweet dog.

A little over a week ago, I had to take our precious cat, Mama, to Second Chances Veterinary Care. Before I made the appointment, I was treated with kindness and respect. This Veterinary surgical hospital was phenomenal in the level of care and kindness when helping us let our precious Mama go. Mama was treated with tenderness and love. We were given all the information needed to make the best decision for Mama. They did not try to upsell us and made sure that we were also cared for in the process of letting her go. They made a 3D paw print of her front paw and it was definitely worth it. Really good people! Really good experience. Rest In Peace, Mama
