Schwenksville Veterinary Hospital

I simply love this veterinary hospital. The people there treat my animals like they are the most important creatures on the planet. I am not exaggerating. From the women out front to the techs to the doctors, EVERYONE puts out the same loving caring helpful energy. I used this veterinary hospital for my first dog, Ruby. Unfortunately she got an aggressive quick spreading cancer. Dr Anna helped me release her from her pain. I got a rescue dog about 6 months after Ruby left us and Dr Anna has been taking care of Waffles (my dog) since then which has been almost 6 years now. My sister brings her dogs to Schwenksville also. We both love the people of Schwenksville veterinary hospital. They are the kindest, most caring most compassionate animal hospital that we have found in this area. You won’t be wrong to trust these people with your pets. Your animals will receive the best care possible.

I freakin love this place. So did Arria and Siv! I’ve been taking our pets here for 13 years. I never feel like a burden with all my crazy questions and never feel rushed at my visits. From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows, you all have guided us and supported us in our decisions, have been amazing shoulders to cry on and just all around wonderful. We love you and Sanka loves it too!

Schwenksville Vet is the absolute best! The vets, the techs, the admin staff - they're all really wonderful. They've helped us through having to euthanize 2 dogs and a cat, having a kitty with diabetes and then hyperthyroidism (who developed an intolerance to the med), and bringing a new dog into the house who had some behavioral issues. They've always taken the time to support us, guide us, laugh with us, and mourn with us. They're a really special group of people! I can't imagine going anywhere else for our furbabies! Only the best for them!

I struggled on whether to write this or not. Our cat, Penelope, passed away from cancer in 2021. We noticed her pupils were different sizes and took her here. They were our vet while we were in the area looking at homes so they saw her before this. After x-rays and what not they determined she needed teeth pulled. We did the surgery. She did not get better. Come to find out a month or two after, when we requested the documentation from the surgery, that they had noted in her chart it was most likely cancer. But they did not tell us this after surgery. They did not tell us this on follow up visits. It was only noted in the paperwork from who performed the surgery. How did we receive this paperwork? When we took her for a second opinion to Doylestown Animal Medical Clinic, and we read it for ourselves. Truly abhorrent practices. Looking back, I am disgusted. Was it negligence? Definitely. Was it greed to continue vet visits? I would leave that up to you. Would I take our new cats there? Absolutely not. They simply cannot be trusted. I write this now, four years later, because after attempting to unsubscribe from their mailing list, I still get emails. I am writing this because I see they are now sending office remodeling updates for their facility. Is this how they pay for it? By knowingly causing repeat visits for a sick animal but not telling the owner their pet is dying? Because after death, what profits are to be made? I leave that up to you. But this is a warning to all pet lovers. Can they really be trusted? Looking back on my situation, with our poor animal, the answer for me is simple: No, they cannot. Shame on this facility, the nurses and doctors who knew, but said nothing.
