Schertz Animal Hospital

All the staff were super friendly and knowledgable, they let me decide what was best for my kitty whilst explaining all the options available (he has a condition a lot of vets have never handled before). Miranda was our tech and she was just the sweetest! Our doctor was super efficient also! We will be back!

I started going to Schertz Animal Hospital back in 2019 with my first fur baby. In 2021, I adopted a second fur baby and decided to leave this hospital because they charge way too much for simple procedures. Here and there when my new vet clinic would be closed I would come to Schertz for urgent care or vaccines. Today... I received HORRIBLE customer service from the women up front. I understand you may not have a doctor in on a Saturday or that you're short-staffed while booked and busy, but please, show some respect to customers/patients that are in need of services. I won't be returning anymore. Schertz Animal Hospital, please do better for your patients. Maybe even reevaluate your staff and train them adequately on how to use empathy and human decency towards others.

I cannot recommend this place enough, we had our frenchies pregnant and ready to give birth, and being that we have never had puppies before the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating! They took in our dog and had her out within 2 hours. We had four beautiful puppies and could not have done it without the help of schertz Animal Hospital. Once again I cannot express enough how grateful and thankful we are to the whole team at this facility. They even went as far as to check up on our dog after the birth. We really truly appreciate you guys and we'll be recommending you to anybody who asks us for pet care!

I've been bringing my rescues here for a little over one year now and I advocate so much for this place. They remember every animal and person that walks in that door and they genuinely care for every single one. Each tech and doctor is very genuine and I love seeing how they interact with my animals. They don't just go through the motions , they make it personable. I always have a quick check in , I never wait very long. I don't think an appointment has ever been longer than one hour even on their busier days. It's hard to find businesses with such great culture and practice, let alone a veterinarian sometimes so I'm really happy I found them.

Called on Tuesday to see about booking an appt for my bff Toxic, due to a persistent and worsening cough. The receptionist was kind and knowledgeable. She explained that day was a walk-in day but was able to get us scheduled for Friday afternoon. Forms were easy to fill out (digitally) and uploading Toxic’s med papers was easy (app). On Friday, they were so sweet even though we were running late (Pat Booker on a Friday afternoon is no joke). They met us at the car and walked us straight to a room. Toxic is beyond terrified of the vet, but they were so gentle and so understanding. The med asst/tech was incredible, and the doctor was fast and very comforting. They shot some xrays and had a treatment plan all within 30-45 minutes. Pricing is very, very fair… in total I paid $350-$400 for everything - $130 of that was for the new patient/comprehensive exam, and $115 of that was one of the prescriptions. I checked Chewy and it was the same price, so their pricing is really honest. Also, the doctor made sure to ask for our consent prior to proceeding with any additional step (ex: running the Xray). They are very transparent with the pricing, very refreshing when every other company tries to gouge. I did not get pricing for vaccines, but we will be going back and I’ll update. We will be bringing Toxic here in the future (sorry, Toxic). Would highly recommend! Thank you again to everyone there, from Toxic and Me.
