The focus is on making the veterinary experience as positive as possible, ensuring pets and their owners are comfortable throughout their visit.
Sawyer Lake Veterinary Hospital offers a comprehensive suite of veterinary services, catering to the diverse health needs of a wide variety of animals. Their offerings go beyond typical dog and cat care, demonstrating expertise in exotic and small farm animals. Key services include:
Wellness and Preventive Medicine: This includes routine physical examinations, tailored vaccination protocols for various species, robust parasite prevention and control, and microchipping services for pet identification.
Diagnostic Services: The hospital is equipped with an on-site laboratory for rapid and accurate blood work, urinalysis, and fecal examinations. They also offer on-site radiology (X-rays) for detailed imaging, and specialized diagnostics such as electrocardiogram (ECG) screening and glaucoma screening.

Sawyer Lake Veterinary Hospital possesses several distinctive features that contribute to its reputation and effectiveness:
Highly Knowledgeable and Direct Veterinarians: The review highlights a veterinarian who is "very blunt and knows her shit," drawing a parallel to Dr. Pol from a popular TV show. Compassionate and Professional Support Staff: The front desk team and vet techs, exemplified by Kayla, receive high praise for their amazing, personal, and professional demeanor, making clients feel comfortable. This indicates a well-rounded team where different personalities complement each other to provide comprehensive care.
Expertise in Exotic and Farm Animals: A significant feature is their willingness and capability to treat a wide array of non-traditional pets, including chickens, goats, rabbits, hedgehogs, and various birds. This fills a crucial gap in veterinary services, as many clinics focus exclusively on dogs and cats. The positive experience with a chicken attacked by a coyote underscores this unique strength.
Affordable and Transparent Pricing: Clients commend the hospital for being "very affordable" and providing "the best price I could ever imagine." This commitment to reasonable pricing, coupled with high-quality care, is a major draw for pet owners.
Client-Centric Philosophy: The hospital's website states, "Our goal is to provide you and your pets with the best veterinary experience possible," with every team member considered "an integral member of the health care delivery team." This emphasis on positive client interaction and comprehensive care is evident in their operations.
Community Involvement: Dr. Jan White, a key veterinarian, has a background in community organizational work with animal rescue groups and actively participates in continuing education. The hospital also volunteers to treat wildlife for Puget Sound WildCare, demonstrating a broader commitment to animal welfare within the community.
Sawyer Lake Veterinary Hospital utilizes various promotional strategies to attract and retain clients, focusing on their affordability, expertise, and commitment to animal well-being. These likely include:
Discounted Services and Coupons: They offer compelling deals, such as a 1 or 3-year rabies vaccine for $9.00 (regularly $18), a new client exam for $45.00 (regularly $58), and a free toenail trim after the 5th nail trim visit. These promotions make quality vet care more accessible.
Wellness Packages: Promoting comprehensive wellness packages for kittens and puppies that include exams, necessary testing, vaccines, parasite control, nail care, and even free pet food, demonstrating a commitment to proactive health management.

Feb 08, 2025 · Samantha DeesThis Vet is very blunt and knows her shit. Reminds me of Dr. Pol. (He has a TV show). I saw alot of reviews complaining about her personality being too spicy, but I like her. I took my chicken here when she got attacked by a coyote and she saw her last min for the best price I could ever imagine. She was very professional and polite, but for her price and knowledge and efficiency, I would let her talk to me how ever she wanted. I just want my animal taken care of and to not get ripped off.
Nov 12, 2024 · TaraThis place specifically the wildlife center is very unprofessional and I had high unbiast hopes of it. They treat their interns poorly unprofessionally. They treat the animals inhumanely the people that work here, are very immature, unprofessional, and almost spicy, and moody. Do not donate to them. Do not support them. Do not send injured wildlife or pets or animals here, do not get a job here, Do not volunteer here, do not support this business, They need to have their licenses revoked their permits revoked and they need to be shut down permanently. The treatment of most interns is really bad. The workplace environment is very toxic and catty, The animals are treated inhumanely.
Feb 10, 2025 · E CI recently began taking our cat to this veterinary hospital as our former vet retired. I have found the care to be of high quality and a good value. It’s a small facility near Covington and Maple Valley which also houses an animal rescue and has shelter cats available for adoption. Our cat Maizie sees Dr. Yun, and we’re working with her to get our kitty feeling better! Very caring and friendly staff.
Dec 29, 2023 · Erin AboudaraI took my animals to Lake Sawyer vet because they're convenient and I thought they were going to be a good vet for my dogs but I found out that they aren't I lost I took my dog in for his teeth he came back he couldn't walk on his back legs he still can't walk took my little girl in there she passed away within 3 days she had it plugged Ivy and I still think that they're at home for her death so I got a new dog Mr coconut I took him there for ear problem took him there three times on the third time they charged me for the office call which they shouldn't have because it was an ongoing problem and it had even been 30 days yet so that leaves me to legal action now I'm going to request all my money that I spent there at their company to be reimbursed I hope nobody else has any animal losses there it's a sad thing I lost two dogs in July and almost lost my third one because his back legs aren't working so use caution if you go there
