My little pup had a medical emergency after an encounter with a porcupine. They took excellent care of her and kept us up to date while she was in surgery. The staff was all very kind and respectful at all times. They also called to check on her after she left the hospital to see how she was doing and to see how she was improving. The care and after care were much appreciated!!! I would recommend SAVE to anyone needing Vet care for their pet.

SAVES distinguishes itself as a facility dedicated to managing critical and complex medical conditions in pets. Unlike a standard general practice veterinarian, SAVES is equipped and staffed to handle a wide array of emergencies and offers advanced specialty services. This focus means that when a pet experiences a sudden illness or injury, or requires a level of care beyond what a primary veterinarian can provide, SAVES is a go-to destination.

Environment of Care

While specific detailed descriptions of the interior environment are not widely publicized, the nature of an emergency and specialty veterinary hospital suggests a highly professional and sterile environment. Based on customer reviews, the facility is implied to be well-maintained and organized. One review mentions an "open floor concept" and a "super clean and orderly" facility, which implies a modern and transparent approach to pet care, similar to a first-rate human hospital. This kind of environment likely aims to create a sense of trust and reassurance for pet owners during what can be very stressful times. The focus on emergency care means the environment is designed for rapid assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, with appropriate medical equipment readily available. This includes advanced diagnostic imaging tools and surgical suites, all maintained to high veterinary standards.

Services Offered

As a Small Animal Veterinary Emergency & Specialty hospital, SAVES offers a broad spectrum of critical and advanced veterinary services. Their primary focus is emergency veterinary care, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. • Toxicosis or poisonings
  • Trauma care
  • Addressing trouble breathing, walking, or urinating

Beyond emergency care, SAVES also provides specialty services. These advanced offerings often include:

  • Diagnostic Imaging: This is a crucial component of modern veterinary medicine, and SAVES is equipped to perform services such as radiography (X-rays) and ultrasound. Inpatient abdominal ultrasounds are specifically available for patients already under their care.
  • Surgery: Surgical services are available through their emergency department, with pets continuously monitored using both modern equipment and experienced human observation during procedures.
  • Critical Care: Similar to intensive care units in human medicine, critical care at SAVES involves around-the-clock monitoring and intensive management for pets with serious medical conditions that may be rapidly changing.
  • Client Support and Referrals: SAVES works in close collaboration with primary care veterinarians, ensuring a seamless continuity of care. They accept direct transfers from primary vets and keep the referring veterinarian informed about the patient's status. This suggests that SAVES invests in skilled veterinarians and advanced equipment necessary for complex cases.

  • Team-Oriented Approach: The ability to work collaboratively, with both pet families and primary care veterinarians, is a testament to their integrated approach to patient care. This ensures that pets receive the best possible medical outcomes through shared expertise and coordinated efforts.
Promotional Information and Accessibility

While specific discount promotions are not explicitly detailed in the provided information, the presence of financing options like Scratchpay, as found through external searches, indicates a commitment to making care accessible. Scratchpay partners with veterinary practices to offer financing solutions, which can be a significant help for pet owners facing unexpected emergency medical bills. Their readily available phone numbers, (603) 306-0007 and +1 603-306-0007, are consistently promoted as the direct lines for immediate contact during emergencies or for transferring a patient. The clear address, 63 Evans Dr, Lebanon, NH 03766, USA, ensures easy navigation for those seeking their services. The receptionist picked up immediately and was very compassionate. She made sure I understood my options, given the clinic’s limitations on a Tuesday (they could not offer overnight care.) The veterinarian was very kind to my dog and family, explaining everything (including the cost) and involving us in the decision making. Most importantly, their medical knowledge and diagnostic sophistication was impressive and allowed for prompt diagnosis and immediate treatment. I couldn’t be more pleased- and when it comes to my precious chihuahua, I am a tough customer!

They were very kind, but also gave me the information I needed to make choices. They have a comfortable waiting area, large enough to separate from others, and very clean. I apreciated the snacks, and the tv showing pet videos- not news. I hope you never need them, but a great choice in an emergency.

I brought my 7yo golden to Saves after he had been ill for @ 6 days. I had seen his vet the day before I came to Saves. When he refused food and water, I calked my vet who could not see him. My experience at SAVES was very positive. From check in, to initial evaluation by the vet tech, to evaluation and treatment by Dr Capozzi, it was exceptional care. I felt they listened to my history and my concerns, and they carefully explained every aspect of the plan of care. The best part was that Luca was feeling better in 24hrs. As an Emergency RN, I don't use the Emergency depts ( animal or human) unless it is truly necessary. I'm so glad I took my boy to SAVES.

Terrific. Saturday morning emergency with my pup got taken in, examined, and diagnosed quickly. As it turned out, his condition had further complications, so it was determined he needed to be transferred to a major trauma facility and all records and diagnoses were efficiently transferred. We're very pleased with the care and attention both our dog and ourselves received. Thank you all.
