The staff's approachability and warmth contribute significantly to this positive environment, helping both pets and their owners feel at ease during visits. Sand Springs Small Animal Hospital offers a broad spectrum of veterinary services, addressing various aspects of small animal health, from routine preventative care to more complex medical and surgical needs. While an exhaustive list of every single service may not be publicly detailed, based on typical offerings of a comprehensive small animal hospital and client reviews, their services likely include:
Wellness and Preventative Care: This is a cornerstone of their practice, including routine check-ups, vaccinations (as explicitly mentioned in a review), parasite control (flea, tick, and heartworm prevention), and nutritional counseling to maintain optimal health and prevent disease.
Diagnostic Services: To accurately diagnose conditions, they would typically provide in-house laboratory testing (blood work, urinalysis, fecal exams), and possibly imaging services such as X-rays. These tools are crucial for understanding a pet's internal health.
Medical Treatment: They would handle a wide range of illnesses and conditions, offering diagnostics, medication, and ongoing management for various diseases that affect small animals.
Surgical Services: The hospital performs surgical procedures, as evidenced by a client's mention of their "baby scar" having surgery. This likely includes routine surgeries like spaying and neutering, as well as other soft tissue surgeries.
Dental Care: Maintaining good oral hygiene is vital for overall pet health, so dental cleanings, extractions, and other dental procedures are generally part of comprehensive vet care.
Pain Management: Providing relief and comfort for pets experiencing acute or chronic pain, especially post-surgery, would be an important aspect of their care.
Emergency and Urgent Care: While not explicitly detailed as a 24/7 emergency center, a small animal hospital typically handles urgent medical situations during regular business hours or can provide referrals for after-hours emergencies.
Microchipping: A common and important service for pet identification and recovery.

The sentiment that they "still managed to be able to vaccinate her" despite the cat being difficult, and that the staff "took great care of my baby scar while he had surgery," underscores a compassionate and patient methodology. This gentle handling ensures that pets feel as comfortable as possible, even during procedures that might cause anxiety.
The friendly and professional demeanor of the entire team, from the veterinarians to the support staff, creates a welcoming atmosphere that fosters trust. Mar 10, 2025 · Ashely SaldivarI have taken all of my dogs there, for any and everything. Including boarding, surgery and routine shots and check ups. The counter service is maybe slow to the humans.... The whole staff works so well with my dogs, that more than off sets things in my mind. I trust them with my girls.
Feb 18, 2019 · RC ClineDr. Fleming is the best vet I have talked to, had to take my mini dachshund in because he couldn’t move his back legs, and she was so patient and knowledgeable in showing me how to help him. Even found us donated medications to not break the bank! Thank you so much dr. Fleming!
Oct 25, 2024 · Byron GipsonHad an emergency and our regular vet couldn't get us in( Sunday) . Was able to get an appointment the next day and surgery the next.
