San Tan Animal Hospital

I have been going to San Tan Animal Hospital now for a number of years. I have an appointment every month for one of my fur babies for her allergy shot. The staff is always amazing and I think this is one of the best animals clinics around!!! I would recommend this place to everyone in the area with a pet.

My dog was very sick & the veterinarian who saw him caught on immediately to what was happening. She ordered labs that confirmed her suspicion & got us out the door quickly so that I could get my dog some emergency care at the pet hospital. She was very direct but compassionate in telling me that my dog had diabetes & that he was quite sick. The hospital was expecting us & attended my dog & I quickly. Everyone was organized &!on their toes. Excellent service from both! My sincerest thanks to San Tan Animal Hospital for rapid & accurate care!! Maybe these wonderful folks could give a few inservices to human urgent & emergency care teams!

I love San Tan Animal hospital. I truly appreciate how attentive, and caring Dr. Pratas has been. She really cares about finding the proper diagnosis for my dog. I trust her with the care of my Ginger. They have also been very helpful in diagnosing my other standard poodle as well. I would definitely recommend them

San Tan Animal Hospital is amazing and helped my family through one of the most painful days of our lives. My 6 year old German Shepherd service dog was starting to look like he was getting sick so I brought him in for an exam. Chewy was a very driven dog and regardless of how awful he felt, he still constantly wanted to play and do what he was trained to do which made it difficult to tell how sick he was. My worst fear came true though, he was dying. We just didn't know how severe until the lab work came back the next day. My wife and I got the call the following day about Chewys results. There was no hope and his labs indicated that he was much sicker than he appeared to be. I had to make the impossibly difficult decision to put him to sleep. I had literally spent every dollar I had the day before though. This is where San Tan Animal Hospital really helped, which I will forever be grateful for. They knew that Chewy was more than just a pet, and that a private cremation with his ashes being returned to me was important so they helped make it financially possible. When my wife and I arrived with Chewy, I was an absolute emotional mess. I didn't want to wait in a lobby with people like that, so the staff came outside to meet us and take us in the employee entrance in the back straight to a private room. When the doctor came in, she spent a little time chatting with my wife and I. She said that he's clearly very driven because she's never seen a dog so active with lab work as severe as his was. Chewy's final moments were doing his favorite thing, catching his ball. When it was time, he laid down against my wife and I on the floor. The vet was gentle and respectful about it, so Chewy went peacefully and painlessly. Thank you San Tan Animal Hospital. I wish I had the words to explain how grateful I am for all you've done. You went far above and beyond to help me and my family through one of the most challenging days we've ever faced. I've lost pets that I loved dearly in the past...but Chewy was different because he was much more than that. I think you understood that and you clearly cared not just about him, but his humans as well. Thank you so much for everything, and thank you for making this financially possible so my boy didn't have to suffer anymore.

I have mixed feelings about this place. First experience was spectacular. I love the vet we have for our dogs. She is very thorough and follows up as she says she is going to. You can tell how much she really cares. She is the only reason we continue to return. The vet I saw for my cat was completely different. Disorganized, lost tests, lied about it, asked us to come back in, gave conflicting information about test results. Needless to say we will not be see her again. Office staff is pretty good and always friendly.
