I have taken some time to thoughtfully express my genuine gratitude and appreciation for this clinic. Last week, my nearly 10 year old Pit Bull had FCE which caused acute paralysis to his entire back half. After calling, I filled out the intake form and drove to the clinic. After arriving, I was promptly taken into a comfort room that I was able to lay comfortably with my boy. The Doctor entered, and had multiple ideas on what could be causing the acute paralysis. The doctor took her time in describing what could be wrong and the possible treatments, while also comforting me - let’s be honest, I was an absolute wreck. We decided to leave him overnight and received a call promptly in the morning sharing all of the progress that he has achieved. After roughly 24 hours, he had improved to where he could walk with assistance. When I came to pick him up, I was greeted by such kind and caring people that truly cared for my special boy. The clinic gave extremely detailed records of his night as well as the radiographs that were taken. The staff also recommended me to the rehab clinic next door for some extra help as well as a full body harness. The clinic staff stayed with my boy the entire time while I was paying and getting information to make sure he wasn’t nervous. The entire staff made sure that I was comfortable, but more importantly my dog was comfortable from start to finish. I have never taken a dog to an emergency vet before as most have died naturally or not had any major sudden problems, however, my experience with the Salem Emergency Vet was everything I had hoped for and more. I don’t know what I would have done without them, and my boy is happy as a clam having recovered almost all of his health back. They said to follow up with my normal vet, which I did, and my vet also wanted to express his gratitude for this clinic. He said that they did everything he could think of doing to help, and even went above and beyond with the after care instructions and notes. While it is never cheap to take an animal to the vet, let alone an emergency vet with a 24 hour stay, I was willing to pay anything for my boy to be able to come home healthy and happy. However, the bill was actually less than they quoted me on the high end and the Care Credit process was so simple and stress free. I think I can safely say, after a week with my boy back, that the Salem Emergency Vet saved my dogs life. My dog is my life and this clinic was able to give me my life back. I cannot express my gratitude and thanks in words, but from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for your kindness, and hard work when me and my boy needed it most.

Salem Veterinary Emergency Clinic Introduce
The Salem Veterinary Emergency Clinic, located at 3215 Market St NE, Salem, OR 97301, USA, stands as a vital "Pet Hospital" within the local community, specializing in urgent and critical care for animals. Available by phone at (503) 588-8082 or mobile at +1 503-588-8082, this clinic is dedicated to providing immediate and high-quality veterinary services when pets face sudden illnesses, injuries, or life-threatening conditions. Unlike regular veterinary clinics that primarily handle routine appointments, the Salem Veterinary Emergency Clinic operates with the specific focus of addressing unforeseen medical crises, making it an indispensable resource for pet owners during stressful and often terrifying times.
The environment at Salem Veterinary Emergency Clinic is meticulously designed to manage the unique demands of emergency situations while prioritizing the comfort and well-being of both the animal patients and their distressed human companions. Upon arrival, the process is streamlined, often beginning with an intake form and prompt transfer into a "comfort room," allowing owners to be with their pets in a supportive setting. The facility is equipped to handle a wide range of emergency cases, suggesting the presence of necessary diagnostic tools and treatment areas. Beyond the physical setup, the human element of the environment is consistently praised. Staff members are described as "kind and caring people," demonstrating remarkable empathy. They go to great lengths to ensure not only the pet's comfort but also the owner's. This includes allowing owners to say goodnight to their pets during overnight stays, staying with animals while owners handle administrative tasks, and offering continuous reassurance. The atmosphere, while undoubtedly busy, is characterized by professionalism, compassion, and a clear dedication to mitigating the stress inherent in emergency veterinary visits.
The services offered by Salem Veterinary Emergency Clinic are specifically tailored to address emergency and critical care needs. When a pet presents with an acute condition, such as sudden paralysis or other severe symptoms, the clinic's medical team is prepared to perform immediate diagnostics. This likely includes radiographs (X-rays), as specifically mentioned in a review, to assess internal issues. While not explicitly stated, the nature of an emergency clinic implies the availability of other critical diagnostic tools such as blood tests, urinalysis, and potentially ultrasound to quickly pinpoint the cause of an illness or injury. The doctors are adept at developing multiple ideas for what could be wrong and presenting various treatment options, ensuring pet owners are fully informed. Treatment plans can range from overnight hospitalization with continuous monitoring, as evidenced by calls detailing progress, to immediate interventions like fluid therapy, pain management, and stabilization procedures. The clinic also provides detailed records of a pet's stay, including radiographs and comprehensive aftercare instructions, ensuring a smooth transition back to the regular veterinarian. Furthermore, they are proactive in recommending follow-up care, such as rehabilitation clinics or specialized equipment like full-body harnesses, demonstrating a holistic approach to recovery. Their ability to handle complex and urgent cases, leading to significant recovery outcomes for pets, underscores their expertise in critical veterinary medicine.
A distinctive feature of Salem Veterinary Emergency Clinic is their exceptional blend of professionalism, empathy, and transparent communication, particularly concerning treatment options and associated costs. In emergency situations, financial concerns can add immense stress, and the clinic addresses this proactively. They clearly explain all treatment options and provide transparent pricing, often placing a hold for the higher end of an estimated cost but only proceeding with what is truly necessary. This honest approach, as highlighted by multiple customer experiences where the final bill was "less than they quoted on the high end," fosters significant trust. The staff's "compassionate and attentive" nature extends beyond medical care to emotional support for pet owners, acknowledging the emotional toll of an emergency. They are described as "incredibly supportive" when fielding follow-up questions, even after the pet has returned home. Another key feature is their efficient and caring patient flow: from prompt intake to detailed record-keeping and seamless coordination with regular veterinarians. The clinic's ability to save pets' lives and facilitate significant recovery, even in dire circumstances, is a testament to their skilled medical team and state-of-the-art emergency protocols. Their commitment to making the entire process, including financial aspects like Care Credit, "simple and stress free" further distinguishes them as a client-centric emergency care provider.
While Salem Veterinary Emergency Clinic does not typically run promotional campaigns in the traditional sense, given its role as an urgent care provider, its primary "promotional information" lies in its exemplary service and the positive outcomes for its patients. Testimonials from grateful clients serve as the most powerful form of promotion, highlighting key benefits. For example, the detailed accounts of dogs recovering from acute paralysis or cats healing well after overnight stays are compelling endorsements of the clinic's efficacy and care. The "less than expected" billing and the simplicity of the Care Credit process are significant factors that promote the clinic's financial transparency and consideration for pet owners. The consistent theme of "kindness, and hard work when me and my boy needed it most," alongside the explicit statement that the clinic "saved my dog's life," are the most impactful forms of advertising for an emergency service. They build trust and confidence in prospective clients facing similar crises. Essentially, the clinic's reputation for providing top-tier emergency care, coupled with its empathetic and financially transparent approach, is its strongest promotional tool, ensuring that when an emergency strikes, pet owners in Salem instinctively know where to turn for reliable and compassionate help.

Apr 08, 2025 · Robin StarkWe had a wonderful experience with Salem Veterinary Emergency Clinic while our cat, Trjegul, was under their care. The staff was compassionate and attentive, even letting me say goodnight to him before his overnight stay. They clearly explained all the treatment options and pricing, placing a hold for the higher end but only moving forward with what was truly necessary. The total ended up being less than expected, and the care was excellent. They followed up with kind, prompt calls, and when I called with questions afterward, they were incredibly supportive. Thanks to their expert care, Trjegul is now home and healing well. We’re so grateful for their professionalism, empathy, and honesty during such a stressful time.
May 05, 2025 · Branden HarveyCame here last night for my cat indi as she was hit by a car. Not even a year old, 8 month old cat. As much as they needed to do their protocols, we were rushed to put down 800$ before they could take any xrays or anything. As this was an emergency at 930pm, the expected funds that were to be pulled out, are singled out to those who can not pay, regardless of the credit cards you can apply for. We ended up rushing to another animal hospital, as we were told we can put down 200, then following the end of the visit, could pay the rest. This other hospital (Wilvet, by the way), had provided us about how no matter the amount I could have payed, it would not have saved her. She was past any surgery that would've been a potential life saver. We ended up having to euthanize her at the price of 200$, took her home, and was able to give her a burial. point being, save your heartbreak and time, to go to a different place. pricing is overzealous.
Apr 19, 2025 · Lizzy MThis hospital was amazing. They were very compassionate. They advised us of the long wait time but they were able to get us in quickly. They did their best to try & make things as comfortable as possible for my big dog.
Dec 31, 2024 · Amanda BennettI have had two amazing experiences with this emergency vet. 1.5 years ago, my female shepherd tore her side open on a fence. They got her back as soon as we got there and kept us updated the entire day on pricing, what she needed, and how she was doing. We were stunned at how affordable they were for emergency anesthesia and surgical repair. They even had her back for a free check-up and restitch when she partially pulled her side back open. Last night, we had to return with our male shepherd, who sliced his paw open. I gave them the heads up that he gets nervous with new people and they went ahead and had me come back with him to keep him calm until we could sedate him so he could get his foot looked at. They were so kind and worked as fast as they could, all while having a constant influx of other patients and the phone continuously ringing. Despite how busy they were, they took the time to be patient with me and my nervous boy and to provide exceptional care. This is the only emergency vet I will go to if given the option. Shout out to the vet tech who helped Joey last night, 8/22. You went above and beyond making him and I comfortable. Pictures of my handsome boy included.
