Saint Francis Animal Hospital

Treated my new puppy so well. Staff was gentle and very friendly. Other staff were coming to say hi to my baby saying how cute he was which showed passion and the love they still have for animals. Everything was explained thoroughly and estimates were give before completing service. My baby had an accident in the lobby due to worms and someone came to clean even though I offered to do it myself multiple times. The day after my appointment someone called to check on my baby. Thank was very special to me. Because of the care shown I switched my other dog to this vet the next week.

Can't say enough good about St Francis Animal Hospital. They regularly take care of our fur babies. Friendly staff and knowledgeable doctors. Clean and organized facility too.

We have been taking our sweet Bella to Dr Madera and his staff for several years most recently a serious surgery. He and his staff are so compassionate and caring. Great staff. Thank you so much.

** MAJOR RANT** I can’t believe i even have to post this. But unfortunately, Saint Francis Animal Hospital has to be called out. I know hundreds of you love the clinic, and i don’t blame you, but today the lack of professionalism SHOWED. I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with Saint Francis Animal Hospital for refusing to see my dog simply because my daughter no longer works there after dedicating 10 years of her life to the hospital. It is shocking and disheartening that a place that claims to prioritize the well-being of animals would put personal circumstances above providing care for a beloved pet. Crazy to think that my own daughter is the one who told me “Mom simply because i don’t work there anymore, it doesn’t mean you don’t have to go. They’ve always provided great care to Hershey and my reasons to leave after 10 years have nothing to do with your dog. Madera always stands by that.” Little did she know she was wrong. Over the years, my entire family and friends have supported the hospital, and my daughter poured her heart into her job there, contributing to the reputation and success of the facility. Countless hours and lack of sleep for the support of the hospital. She had to leave due to personal reasons unrelated to Saint Francis. And today DELSA called me stating that they can’t see my dog tomorrow because it was recommended to go to the specialist. Which is true. But i only made an appointment for an arthritis injection. Nothing more. When i questioned why can’t she come just for the injection (which again she will be attending the specialist for the other issues going on with her), she proceeded to say “Do I really have to explain myself to you Maria. I shouldn’t have too. Too much conflict of interest. You should go to any other clinic but here.” This decision feels not only unfair but also incredibly unprofessional from DELSA and for Dr. Madera allowing this to happen. My dog’s health should not be compromised due to a change in employment status within my family. It’s appalling that loyalty and dedication for over a decade count for nothing when it comes to ensuring the care of an animal who needs medical attention. As a long-time client and someone who has always trusted Saint Francis to do what’s best for animals, I am incredibly let down by this experience. This kind of treatment makes me question the values and integrity of the hospital. If the focus is truly on the welfare of animals, then personal grievances or policies unrelated to patient care should never come into play. I urge you to reconsider this decision in the future with anyone else, as it undermines everything an animal hospital should stand for. My dog deserves the same care and compassion that Saint Francis promises to every pet, regardless of the circumstances surrounding their owner or family.

We have been together for four years; the veterinarians are all compassionate, caring, and attentive. The staff is thoughtful and professional. The office is welcoming, clean, and organized; it doesn't even smell like animals are treated there. My dogs are family to us. As far as price/cost, I don't know if they are more or less; they are so good to my dogs that I won't even bother checking others.
