Terrible experience. We took a dog in that we received from a neighbor for a checkup to make sure it was okay and then they kept trying to upsell different services. We felt like we were being scammed by this upselling, and decided to take it somewhere else and we had to pay a service fee for them to tell us they can't do anything. They are not interested in helping animals, they just want to upsell and make money. At the end they were even extremely rude, suggesting that we can't afford the dog. I didn't know not wanting to get scammed means we can't afford but to make comments like that are extremely rude. Would not recommend .

I've always loved dr arteaga. He has done my pets right. My dog became missing in Memphis for 5 days. The pound never updated their website and answering their phone never happened either. Then I got a call. The pound called the number on his rabies tag and dr arteaga gave them my phone number. Thank you.

Hands down the best animal hospital I’ve been to thus far! Dr. Raul Arteaga has been in the field for over 20 years & you can truly tell he cares about you & your fur baby. Usually at the other animal hospitals they would do a quick check-up & ask you a bunch of questions to quickly speed through the process and it’s understandable because they’re busy. But Dr. A & his team were so thorough, making sure everything was okay without rushing. After the examination, Dr. A explained in detail the areas that could be improved from food to canine exercise, & environment. This is the first review I’ve ever written for an animal hospital because none of the others have left an impression to ever need one but Sahara Animal Hospital definitely raised my standards for what my fur baby deserves.

My wife and I have been taking our 2 boys to Dr. A. At Sahara Animal Hospital for years. They’re always so well taken care of here. Highly recommended for anybody looking for a great vet to take their fur-babies

Reading JX experience is what's wrong with pet health care today. It's just like human health care and the insurance companies. The reply Sahara Animal Hospital gave seems disingenuous at best. Claiming that the pet was on its death bed and they were just trying to help. The tone of the reply shows 110% that JK was right. I was looking for a professional honest Animal Hospital to take my pet. The reply from SAH tells me their part of the problem in today's pet care business.
