Everyone here was wonderful; unfortunately I did end up making the decision to euthanize my mare. The team went above and beyond expectations to do everything they could to help her. I had to make this very difficult decision after a week of treatment for Colic with no signs of improvement. I was 8.5 months pregnant, so my emotions were at an all time high. Dr Callie I can't say enough great things about. She even found it in her heart to bring me closure, by doing an autopsy and letting me know my decision was what was best for my horse Misty because of all the damage already done to her organs due to severe sand impaction. I had greatly appreciated her updating me with the daily price increase of care, and with pictures of my sweet mare. She consistently told me my options, and if I decided to proceed what the cost was increasing to. I highly recommend SVEC.

We have been clients of SVEC for many years and have always received high-quality care with excellent transparency in cost. The vets and thier staff provide very good education and review of diagnostic and treatment options. I appreciate that they do client education events, support local community programs (they offer their own scholarships and support local exceptional rider programs) and that they work with veterinary students. Extra special recognition to Dr Liz Routh who recently euthanized our pony....she explained the process very clearly (even talking on the phone to my daughter who was working in Alaska and couldn't be with us and was so comforted by Dr Routh's discussion with her), was SO patient, kind and compassionate making a difficult experience the best it could possibly be. Highly recommend SVEC.

I came here about a year and a half ago with my very sick dog and little finding in hand, they initially turned us down so we found an organization willing to cover her medical bills, we showed back up there, and even though we could cover costs now they treated is entirely differently. Ariel, my dog, was misdiagnosed with congestive heart failure. They put her on a medication and sent us on our way, even with the condition she was in. Ariel passed after a full night of seizures a few days later. We were an hour away from home trying to get her into the nearest vet yet again to take her, but because of this place, she didn't even make it. It was later revealed that she never had heart failure and the medication they put her on, killed her. It slowly shut down her body because there was no failure there to treat. I had that dog since i was 4 years old, i was 17 at the time of putting her down, and she was healthy as a horse before a measly cough started. Be careful where you take your animals, and always keep up and watch ANY effects of any new meds. This was unavoidable on our end, we were on the phone daily with new specialists every day. But I would hate for anyone else to lose their baby to the same fate Ariel seen. It took me a long timw to come on this page and say something, but I'm glad to get it out there, I hope my story helps just ONE person out there. Have a lovely day to anyone who made it this far. 馃

I have a red mare who's extra spicy. We need to sedate her when she needs her teeth floated. At SVEC they have always done a fantastic job accommodating to our needs. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean facility, and I love seeing the babies there in the spring.

Just thought I'd pass this along in case anyone's horse needs chiropractic care. My horse Indy saw Dr Liz Routh today and she did an amazing job with Indy. Not only was she great at the chiropractic manipulation, she was also kind and approached Indy with patience. She earned Indy's trust and Indy loved the treatment and Dr. Liz.
