If you truly care about your animal DON’T GO because he doesn’t care! He only cares about your money. I always gave this guy the benefit of the doubt. I took my dying senior dog here and he said it’s a dental problem and needs a $2,000 cleaning and she’ll be like a “puppy”. NEVER was the case, never offered blood work or anything. I took her to another hospital same day and found out she was having internal bleeding and passed 48 hours later. 6 months later, I took my Pomeranian that was coughing, they said it’s nothing and to keep an eye on it. Not once did they mention doing x-rays or anything! I took him to another vet a week later who did x-rays probably for a quarter of the price Vezza would and we find out he has a collapsed trachea!! How was this not brought up? Another issue this vet always has is NOT sending your prescription to you or your pharmacy, so instead of paying $10 you buy it from them for $90. They NEVER want to send!! They never want to help! They didn’t send me eye cream for my dogs eye because I told them I have a little bit left at home but can you please send me backup as most of it gets wasted while applying. They did NOT. They withheld medication from me!! Receptionist told me she will send and I even explained how it’s so hard to get a script from them. I get a phone call 2 days later from the Doctor saying you told me “you have eye cream at home you don’t need!” I even wrote them an email stating how wrong this is. No response. Fast forward to a few weeks later, my friend rushes over there with a stray cat that had been attacked and needed an antibiotic shot and cleanup. Dr Vezza brings out a $2,100 quote to sedate her and keep her for 2 days. Every vet i called had special prices for strays or offered to help one way or another. Dr Vezza did NOT! All they care about is their pockets. I’ve never met such money hungry doctors. Dr Vezza just let the cat leave the office looking the way she did. No remorse nothing. We were referred to Grady animal hospital in Sayville by another vet that was willing to help. My friend left Vezza’s office and drove to Sayville and got everything for the cat done in less than an hour, NO sedating either and all for $60!!!! Your dogs health doesn’t come first in this Vet! Your pocket does. Also, he doesn’t seem to know what’s even wrong with the dog (i was misdiagnosed twice)

Dr Mario Vezza and his team are great. Our first experience was when our Mini Goldendoodle ate something poisonous in the evening a few weeks back and the doctor walked us through what to do over the phone in advance of bringing her in the next day. It was the best experience at a very difficult moment. This past week we brought our cat in to have what we thought was a cyst removed. It turned out to be a tumor. I asked a lot of questions which he answered and was transparent when I inquired about the cost and effort that would be put in. He also removed teeth that had become infected and brought to our attention a thyroid issue that she has. She is now doing better and on thyroid medicine. I am so happy that we brought her there.
