I went to this vet after adopting a dog from South Park Mall's "Pet Land" and being told the first office visit would be free. When I called to schedule the appointment, the lady who answered the phone was extremely rude when I asked some questions. Later that day when I showed up for the appointment (on time), the appointment did not begin until 40 minutes had passed. The only things done during the exam were a weight check, and the vet briefly listening to the dog with a stethoscope. The vet was very dismissive of my questions, and I had to ask multiple times what the vaccines were that he was trying to recommend and what they did. He did not provide an estimated cost. He was very quick to administer the injections before I even consented to the vaccines. I was appalled. Minutes later, my dog actually fell off of the exam table as the vet and his assistant did not have an adequate hold on them. After administering the vaccines (without wearing gloves), the USED NEEDLES were left out on the counter as the vet left the room. There was a sharps container located in the exam room, but he opted to leave them uncapped, and out on the counter. This is an extreme health risk. I noticed quite a few other things that just made this office feel... off. Located within the exam room was a small paperboard box with an assortment of dirty medical instruments. I don't know their intended purpose, but this storage method was unsafe and unhygienic. The opened doors down the hallway corridors in this office provided a glimpse into absolutely filthy (what I assume to be) operating rooms. Shelves lining the walls had medical supplies literally falling off of them. The sight looked like something out of a post-apocalyptic zombie film. I had an additional person with me during this visit who can attest that the following events happened and are true and was equally disgusted with our visit there. I will NEVER be returning to this location and urge anyone else to avoid this place. With so many violations with our visit alone, I cannot imagine what goes on during others, and during more invasive treatments and surgeries.

Welcome to Rolling Hills Animal Hospital

Welcome to Rolling Hills Animal Hospital, a Pet Hospital located at 714 Pearl Rd # B, Brunswick, OH 44212, USA. You can reach them at phone number (330) 225-6336 or mobile phone +1 330-225-6336. As a local veterinary care provider, Rolling Hills Animal Hospital aims to serve the pet health needs of the Brunswick community. While specific details about the clinic's environment aren't extensively available online, it's typical for pet hospitals to have examination rooms, areas for procedures, and potentially waiting and reception spaces. However, it's important to note that one customer review provided a concerning description of the clinic's cleanliness and organization.

As a Pet Hospital, Rolling Hills Animal Hospital likely offers a range of veterinary services. Based on general practices, these may include:

  • Wellness Exams: Routine check-ups to monitor your pet's health and administer preventative care.
  • Vaccinations: Providing necessary vaccines to protect your pet from various diseases.
  • Sick Animal Care: Diagnosis and treatment when your pet is unwell.
  • Surgery: Offering surgical procedures as needed.
  • Dental Care: Addressing your pet's oral health.
  • Emergency Services: Handling urgent medical situations.

However, it is crucial to consider the information provided in the customer reviews to gain a more nuanced understanding of the potential environment and service quality at Rolling Hills Animal Hospital.

One detailed negative review described several concerning aspects of a routine visit. The reviewer mentioned rude phone communication when scheduling an appointment that was supposed to be free. Upon arrival, there was a significant wait. The examination itself was described as brief, consisting mainly of a weight check and a quick listen with a stethoscope. The reviewer stated that the veterinarian was dismissive of questions, did not provide cost estimates for recommended vaccines, and administered injections quickly, allegedly before explicit consent was given. Alarmingly, the review also recounted the dog falling off the exam table due to inadequate restraint, used needles being left uncapped on the counter (a significant health risk), and a paperboard box containing dirty medical instruments in the exam room. Furthermore, the reviewer claimed to have seen "absolutely filthy" areas resembling operating rooms through open doors, with medical supplies falling off shelves, creating an "unsafe and unhygienic" environment that felt "off." This reviewer strongly advised others to avoid the clinic based on these observations.

Conversely, a different review offered a highly positive account, stating that the vet is "amazing" and had helped them twice in emergencies, once when a dog was euthanized and another time when their cat needed emergency surgery. This reviewer noted that their cat recovered quickly without issues and praised the clinic's flexibility and kindness in helping even when they weren't regular patients. They also commented that the staff is always friendly, even when busy, and described the vet as "nice and caring," giving a 10/10 recommendation.

These starkly contrasting reviews present a challenge in objectively characterizing the environment and services of Rolling Hills Animal Hospital. One account paints a picture of unprofessionalism, poor hygiene, and inadequate care, while the other praises their emergency services, kindness, and the positive outcome of a surgery. It's possible that there have been changes in staff or practices over time, or that different individuals have varying experiences.

Without specific promotional information, it's difficult to comment on that aspect. However, the positive review could be interpreted as an endorsement of their emergency care capabilities and the compassionate nature of some staff members. The negative review, obviously, does not serve as a promotion.

For local users considering Rolling Hills Animal Hospital, it would be prudent to weigh these conflicting experiences. The detailed negative review raises serious concerns about safety, hygiene, communication, and consent during routine care. The positive review highlights positive experiences with emergency services and staff kindness. To make an informed decision, potential clients may want to contact the hospital directly to inquire about their current practices, cleanliness protocols, and the qualifications of their staff. Visiting the clinic for a preliminary meeting or a tour, if possible, might also help in forming a personal impression.

In conclusion, Rolling Hills Animal Hospital in Brunswick, OH, is a Pet Hospital with mixed reviews online. While one reviewer lauded their emergency services and compassionate care, another provided a detailed and concerning account of a routine visit involving issues with communication, consent, hygiene, and safety. Local users should consider these differing perspectives and conduct their own due diligence, potentially by contacting the clinic directly, to determine if it meets their standards for pet care.

This vet is amazing! They have helped us twice in emergencies when my dog was put down and another time when our cat needed emergency surgery. Our cat recovered quickly and without issues. The flexibility and the kindness to help even when we weren’t patients at this vet was amazing and HIGHLY RECOMMEND. No matter how busy the staff is always friendly. The Vet is always nice and caring. 10/10

I was recommended this Vet by a close friend, As a pet parent I’m very particular on who my dogs see and I couldn’t recommend them more. Everyone was nice and things were clean and sanitary. Very straightforward, I believe fair prices compared to others who have charged hundreds more and completely over priced. I asked about prices before anything was done and they didn’t have any issues. I felt safe with these guys!

I just moved back from out of state and had an unexpected day off work. I called 8 vets around the Medina area and none had same day availability except for here. I will say, this place is kind of a no frills place. It’s not as pretty as some I’ve been to, but the doctor got right to work identifying and treating my dog’s ear infection. There was little formalities and I do wish that pricing had been discussed beforehand (I know now to ask beforehand) but ultimately, the doctor did a good job, and his vet tech was extremely kind and helpful and made my dog feel comfortable and happy. She was very sweet and it made a great impression. They know what they’re doing and got right down to business. It was different than what I’m used to, but appreciated nonetheless. It also costed me less than what I’m used to paying for her ear infections and medications. I will come back for a follow up and potentially be a long returning customer. I appreciate you helping my dog feel better!

Terrible service from the moment you walk in, the way we were treated by the person who is there to fill out your record, not even a good morning and very rude with our dogs, she had a very ugly attitude. We have 2 dogs and I asked why we had the other dog there in a bad way. We just left that place before they attended to our dogs. We will not return there. I would give it a double 00 but it is not available.
