We had to make the decision over the weekend to put our ferret who was incredibly sick with cancer to sleep. We wanted to wait to see our regular veterinarian, but our ferret declined very quickly, and we didn't want him to have to suffer through the whole weekend plus however long it would take to get into it vet. We brought him here for end of life and they were so incredibly kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable, helping us get through what is always the toughest decision any pet parent must make. I cannot express how grateful I am to have such a caring and experienced staff help us when we needed it most. I greatly recommend this emergency hospital. Many thanks to them.

unfortunately, i noticed my guinea pig was sick and called multiple places to find somewhere that would take me, and REV were so polite and fit me right in. There was no wait and the tech came out to greet me, ask what i thought was wrong and took my guinea pig back. Soon after the vet came out and was very transparent with what she thought was wrong and what my next steps were. unfortunately for me again, prices for pet care are high (not their fault that’s normal with every vet clinic) and i ended up deciding on euthanasia. the tech was very respectful and sympathetic to my grief and allowed me to take as much time as i needed to say goodbye. i didn’t feel rushed or judged in the slightest. they gave me multiple options throughout the process and made the hard decision easier to manage. i would definitely recommend them to anyone with pets as they know what they’re doing and are very nice while they take care of your pets like their own. it was nice to be able to grieve without feeling like a burden in their office. i just wanted to thank them for giving my guinea pig good treatment and taking care of her in her last moments.

This hospital is absolutely incredible. I brought my Guinea Pig in today, who was wheezing and coughing. He had been seen by another Vet before who didn’t know the issue. Today, he couldn’t breathe so I rushed him in. The staff were so kind and compassionate and soon my Guinea Pig was seen by Dr. Lauren Steigerwalt. She was incredibly thorough and identified that he had an Upper Respiratory Infection as well as other conditions. Im so grateful, and just in shock at how kind and knowledgeable this team was from the front desk staff, to the wonderful tech, to the Vet herself. Absolutely recommend if you want the best of the best. Thanks!

Yesterday I brought my very sick cat to Rockingham Emergency Vet. From the first phone call they were calm, kind and helpful. I was overwhelmed knowing that ultimately this would be the end, and they helped me through the process. My indoor cat had not been to the vet in many years and I feared when I brought her somewhere I would be given a hard time for not having records. This was no issue here, which helped not add extra stress when I just wanted to help my baby pass on. The team gave me the time I needed at every step during the process and did not rush anything. I can not thank everyone enough for their kindness and compassion helping our sweet Chloe cross the rainbow bridge.

Rockingham Emergency Vet has knowledgeable and amazing staff members that handled me and my distressed family with great care when we brought in our elderly cat to be put down. They explained everything very calmly and made sure that we understood the whole process. You could tell how much they care about each animal that comes in. Our crying continued when they gave us a clay imprint of our beloved cat’s paw to be used as an ornament- such a beautiful touch. While the reason for our visit was heartbreaking, the whole staff was so professional, calm, and gentle. I would absolutely recommend this vet.
