Located at **580 White Spruce Blvd Suite 1, Rochester, NY 14623, USA**, ROC Pet Rehab has quickly established a reputation for its expert veterinary rehabilitation and compassionate approach. You can reach them by phone at **(585) 360-2288** or **+1 585-360-2288**.
Operating within the specialized niche of pet rehabilitation, ROC Pet Rehab focuses on improving the quality of life for dogs recovering from injury, surgery, or managing chronic conditions. While listed under the broad "Pet Hospital" category, their specific expertise lies in physical therapy and pain management, offering targeted services that are increasingly vital for active, aging, or recovering pets.
The environment at ROC Pet Rehab is described as one where pets feel comfortable and even loved. Client testimonials highlight the kindness and patience of the staff, specifically mentioning "Taylor" as very kind and patient, and affirming that dogs "love Taylor!" This suggests a welcoming and low-stress atmosphere, which is paramount for rehabilitation services, as many animals undergoing therapy may be in pain, anxious, or have limited mobility. The positive interactions with the staff contribute significantly to the pet's comfort and willingness to engage in therapy.
While specific details about the physical rehabilitation equipment (e.g., underwater treadmills, therapeutic lasers, exercise areas) are not provided in the given reviews, the nature of a dedicated pet rehabilitation center implies a facility equipped with specialized tools and spaces for various therapeutic modalities. The focus on making dogs "comfortable" during their visits further suggests a thoughtful layout and patient handling techniques.
ROC Pet Rehab specializes in veterinary rehabilitation, focusing on improving mobility, reducing pain, and restoring function in dogs. Their services are crucial for a variety of conditions, and while the reviews specifically mention pain and rehabilitation for dogs, typical offerings for such a specialized "Pet Hospital" would include:
Comprehensive Rehabilitation Programs: Tailored exercise plans and physical therapy routines to help dogs recover from injuries, surgical procedures (e.g., ACL tears, orthopedic surgeries), or neurological conditions (e.g., degenerative myelopathy, IVDD).
Pain Management: Utilizing various modalities to alleviate chronic pain, arthritis, and discomfort. This can include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and potentially advanced pain relief techniques.
Post-Surgical Recovery: Critical support for pets after operations, helping them regain strength, mobility, and preventing muscle atrophy or secondary issues during the healing process.
Geriatric Support: Assisting older dogs with age-related mobility issues, arthritis management, and maintaining a good quality of life through gentle exercise and pain relief.
Weight Management Programs: For overweight pets, controlled exercise regimens can help with weight loss, reducing strain on joints and improving overall health.
Conditioning for Sporting and Working Dogs: Providing specialized conditioning programs to enhance performance, prevent injuries, and aid in recovery for active and athletic dogs, as suggested by the mention of "sporting labs."
Manual Therapy: Techniques such as massage, stretching, and joint mobilizations to improve range of motion and reduce muscle tension.
Therapeutic Exercises: Guided exercises to build strength, improve balance, coordination, and endurance.
Dr. Jones's thoroughness in examinations and explanations, as noted by clients, suggests a strong emphasis on educating owners about their dog's condition and the rehabilitation process, ensuring a collaborative approach to care.
ROC Pet Rehab's strengths are clearly illuminated by client feedback:
Expert and Knowledgeable Veterinarian (Dr. Jones): Dr. Jones is consistently praised as "caring and incredibly knowledgeable." His ability to thoroughly examine pets and explain findings ensures that pet owners understand their dog's condition and the rationale behind treatment plans. This expertise is particularly valuable in the specialized field of rehabilitation, where precise diagnosis and tailored programs are crucial.
Compassionate and Patient Staff: The entire team, including vet techs like Taylor, is highlighted for being "very kind and patient" and for genuinely loving animals. This compassionate approach is vital for anxious or painful pets, making the rehabilitation process more comfortable and effective.
Focus on Individual Needs: The individualized attention, especially for dogs with specific challenges (like "sporting labs"), underscores a commitment to customized care plans that address each pet's unique requirements for recovery and improvement.
Effective Results: The strong recommendations from clients who have seen tangible improvements in their dogs' pain and mobility demonstrate the efficacy of the rehabilitation programs offered.
Specialized Expertise: In a general veterinary landscape, a clinic dedicated solely to rehabilitation provides a level of specialized knowledge and equipment that a general practice might not. This focus allows them to excel in areas like pain management, post-surgical recovery, and athletic conditioning.
The primary promotional strength of ROC Pet Rehab comes from its overwhelmingly positive client testimonials. The immediate and enthusiastic recommendations ("Highly recommend!", "I highly recommend this place.") from clients who have experienced significant positive outcomes for their dogs are immensely powerful. The specific mention of "sporting labs" indicates that they cater to a clientele who are highly invested in their dogs' physical well-being and performance.

Feb 01, 2025 · Julie UlrichWe've had a really great experience here so far! Our dog's injury is quite minor compared to some of the other cases I'm sure they work with here, but that didn't prevent the team from being extremely thorough and compassionate for our exam. The doctor took his time and had great patience with my dog throughout the exam. The staff was so very kind and gentle with him too. He received laser therapy and they made the process so quick and easy for him!
