Rivertown Veterinary Emergency - After Hours Animal Clinic

Our fur baby was attacked & the staff at Rivertown was so good with him. Everyone there treated us well and took great care of our 8 month old golden retriever in a very stressful situation for us all. Picture of our boy before his attack with his best friend.

So Grateful for Rivertown Veterinary Emergency On July 13, my Mom and I had to take my kitty, Gracie, to Rivertown Veterinary Emergency due to vomiting and dehydration. She had recently been diagnosed with kidney disease, so I was very worried. From the moment we arrived, I was impressed by how kind and organized the staff was. We waited in the car until it was our turn. Two more severe cases were treated ahead of us, and they explained that they have to triage cases. We completely understood. Inside, a vet tech took down all the necessary information and explained the expected wait time with such compassion and professionalism. About 45 minutes later, Dr. Kees treated Gracie. Her knowledge and thoroughness were remarkable, and she provided a detailed explanation of the necessary treatments. We were incredibly impressed. While the high cost was typical of other emergency services, this one was incredibly nice and clean and had such caring staff. They took excellent care of Gracie, and I was so grateful that Dr. Kees took the time to explain everything in detail. I greatly appreciated all she did. Their compassion and thoroughness was far beyond what I had expected. When I later told my regular vet about our experience, she agreed that Rivertown Veterinary Emergency is great. I am extremely grateful for their excellent service and highly recommend them. Gracie and I felt genuinely cared for, and I am very thankful for their kindness and professionalism.

Every interaction with the staff was positive and helpful. They were very kind and informative on the phone and in person. All charges were reviewed for consent prior to any tests/interventions. I was very impressed with Dr. Kim Kees: She was knowledgeable, professional and kind to both my dog Jake and me. She explained her findings in clear language, verbally and in writing, and told me what to be aware of in the following 12-24 hours that would necessitate a higher level of care. I did end up taking Jake to the Auburn Emergency Vet the following day where he was treated for a bowel obstruction that didn’t show up on the original X-rays. Thanks to the labs and meds from Rivertown they were able to make a quick diagnosis. am grateful to Rivertown for their care.

I am very thankful for the veterinary and the stuff here! I had to bring my dog peanut here to have her ear looked at and surgery done. The staff and the vet doctor was extremely patient with me and my baby peanut. Thank you guys for the help and for treating peanut like you would your own fur baby! Feeling blessed for this office. Otherwise I would have had to take a 45 min trip to auburn and deal with a 5 to 6 hour wait! You guys are awesome

It's been 3 weeks and 1 day since I had to make the decision to help my 15 1/2 year old maltese baby, Jack, cross the rainbow bridge. Through my "dog mama" grief I have had such peace and comfort knowing that in his final moments he was surrounded by so much love. Dr. Kees was the absolute best ER vet for Jack and supporter for me and my daughters on that day. If she had a regular practice open I would definitely transfer my three other dogs and 9 chickens 😅 I pray I never have to experience that again but if I do, I definitely know who to call.
