Love the vets techs but the staff receptionist needs some customer service skills . They don't know how to respond to people on the phone. Every time I call to schedule an appointment it's always an attitude dealing with multiple staff. They give's off racist vibes. And my thing is be racist that's on you but if I'm a paying customer put that to the side for a moment so people can see about their pets. It's not that serious!

I love Dr Shirling. She takes time to get to the root of the problem. We need more doctors like her and she is not a Band-Aid Dr like most of them are. If you want good service and the BEST doctor go to Riverside animal hospital you will not be disappointed.

I called this office with questions about my puppies sickness and was greeted with the most disgusting attitude i have ever heard in customer service from the front desk staff. When trying to explain what was wrong with my dog the lady mocked me and basically implied i was stupid while trying to tell her his medical history and about what was wrong with him. Based off of front office staff would never send my dog here. Don’t work in customer service if you are miserable with your life. She should not be in this position at all with the way she speaks to people. Highly recommend she finds a new job where she does not have to talk to people and can be miserable alone such as a warehouse where she does not have to come in contact with people.

I thought I'd found a vet with services I could trust to care for my fur babies and a place for boarding them when necessary. I was wrong. I left four babies there - my three cats and my mom's cat - for boarding for several days. We carefully thought about all their needs and potential issues. We even left calming products with Riverside Animal Hospital to give to them to minimize their anxiety for their 5-day stay. When my mother and I returned to pick up our babies, we were met with chaos and traumatized babies. In fact, we were told we would have to come back to the "room" to get "the cats." My 81-year-old mother was literally on the floor, on her knees trying to coax her cat. This was almost a week ago and she is still recovering. Two of my babies were too frightened to come to even me. I didn't do what my mother did. I told the "cat lady" that I couldn't do it and asked wasn't there someone there that could help get them. We were sent back to the waiting area. Later, we finally had all four babies. As I was handed one of mine, I was told she bit her tongue and there was a little bleeding. I asked about the care she needed. I was told she would be okay and I needed to do nothing. Not a single cat was given their calming product. I said the very point of leaving it was to use for their benefit to help reduce their stress. I added that it would have benefited everyone. Beth said well there were no instructions on what I left. I said the instructions were on the bottle. Then she said, oh I think the doctor said it was too strong or something. I told her, at the very least, there should have been a conversation instead of disregarding something shared regarding something I provided for their care. Interestingly, even the calming product my mother left for her cat wasn't used for him and it was prescribed by Riverside Animal Hospital! The next day, my baby "who bit her tongue" was still not well. I called back and spoke with Maddie. She said asked about why the calming product wasn't used and she was told it required refrigeration. I told her that I'm sure they could have figured out how to use it. Theirs was just another excuse because they could have refrigerated the product and used it. I know it has to be refrigerated and I always kept it in the refrigerator. Again, it was interesting that my mom's calming pill was not used for her cat and it was prescribed by this very facility and required no refrigeration! As I told Maddie, at this time, my biggest complaint was that my baby might or might not have bitten her tongue but what I discovered was she had a broken tooth! Maddie said I could bring her in to get checked out. I told her I didn't know about subjecting her to more harm and trauma. She said I could drop her off because she doesn't know how long I would have to wait. I asked her wouldn't they care for her without an appointment given the circumstances. She said she doesn't know how long the wait would be. There are several problems here: the failure to provide the care and follow the care instructions left for the benefit of the fur babies' wellbeing, to contact me if there was going to be a deviation or literally no intent to oblige such care, attempts to justify the lack or responsibility or liability for proper care (i.e., making up reasons not to use valid, legal calming products - some even prescribed there, cat "biting her tongue," broken tooth, ...). Finally, on the call (call number 2) in which I informed Maddie that I discovered my baby actually had a broken tooth, I inquired about who I would speak to about the care of the cats. She told me that would be Dr. Shurling but was not in that day. She said Dr. Shurling would be in the next day and she would leave the Dr. a message to call me. That next day came and went and I received no call. Even if they were incredibly busy, given the circumstances and having received nearly a thousand dollars of my money for "caring for the cats," and having a cat who still needs care, someone should have taken a moment to call me. Very telling!

Amazing besides one of the front ladies who was a little rude, but other than that, perfect!! They were so nice to my dog and very understanding of his behavioral issues. Also I could hear the vets in the back rooms being super nice to the animals and it was just really sweet :)

My experience with this place was at first good and then my dog was acting weird about going with the doctor and doctor got afraid of my pet and wouldn’t see any of my pets because he was afraid of my pets what have never done anything to him since he was a baby going there and now he afraid. If other doctors don’t want to see a patient why are they doctors anyway?
