The environment at Ringtown Valley Veterinary Hospital is designed to facilitate state-of-the-art medical care while prioritizing the comfort of both pets and their owners. The facility is housed in a modern and spacious building, equipped with a full surgical suite, ensuring that complex medical procedures can be performed safely and effectively on-site. Beyond surgical capabilities, the hospital boasts advanced diagnostic tools, including digital radiography with telemedicine, which allows for expert review of X-rays by board-certified Veterinary Radiologists, ensuring accurate diagnoses. They also utilize ultrasound technology and have a full in-house laboratory for rapid and precise diagnostic testing. A dedicated dental suite, complete with digital dental radiology, underscores their commitment to comprehensive oral health for pets. This robust technological infrastructure, combined with a focus on maintaining a clean, safe, and congenial atmosphere, creates a professional yet caring environment for all visitors. The hospital is also an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited facility, signifying its adherence to the highest standards of veterinary excellence across all aspects of patient care, and it is also certified as "Cat Friendly" by the American Association of Feline Practitioners, indicating a specialized approach to minimizing stress for their feline patients.
Ringtown Valley Veterinary Hospital offers a comprehensive suite of veterinary services to address the diverse needs of its animal patients. Core services include routine preventative care such as wellness examinations, vaccinations, and parasite prevention, which are crucial for maintaining long-term health. The hospital excels in diagnostic capabilities, providing on-site lab services, digital radiography, and ultrasound. This allows for quick and accurate assessments of various conditions, from internal organ health to skeletal issues. Surgical services are a significant part of their offerings, encompassing various soft tissue and some orthopedic procedures. A key feature for surgical patients is their utilization of anesthetic monitoring, making them one of the first hospitals in the region to prioritize such advanced safety measures during operations. Dental care is also a primary focus, with comprehensive dental work, including cleanings and digital dental X-rays. Furthermore, the hospital provides overnight nursing to facilitate 24-hour treatments for hospitalized patients, a critical service for pets requiring continuous monitoring, though it's important to note they are not an emergency hospital. They also offer nutritional counseling and microchipping services, rounding out their commitment to holistic pet care. The hospital's emphasis on client education ensures that pet owners are well-informed partners in their pet's healthcare journey.
Several features distinguish Ringtown Valley Veterinary Hospital and contribute to its high reputation. The positive customer reviews consistently highlight the "excellent service" and "compassionate care" provided by Dr. Bernhard and his staff. This human-animal bond is clearly central to their mission, as evidenced by one moving review about being able to take their time saying goodbye to a beloved pet. The staff's kindness and understanding during such difficult times are highly valued. The presence of overnight nursing for hospitalized patients is a significant feature, offering peace of mind to owners whose pets require continuous care and observation. Their accreditation by the AAHA is a testament to their commitment to quality and is a voluntary accreditation that fewer than 15% of veterinary hospitals in the U.S. and Canada achieve. This means they meet stringent standards in areas such as patient care, pain management, surgery, and diagnostics. The hospital's use of telemedicine for radiographs, reviewed by board-certified radiologists, ensures the highest level of diagnostic accuracy. Additionally, their status as a "Cat Friendly Practice" indicates a specialized understanding of feline behavior and needs, aiming to reduce stress for cat patients during visits. The practice’s long-standing presence since 1991 also speaks to its stability and deep roots in the community.

Mar 05, 2025 · Jeff ArtmanThank you to all the staff. Everyone was so kind to my family and I. We were not rushed and we were able to take our time in saying goodbye to our Hershee Girl. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Dec 10, 2024 · Alicia PetritschI have been going to the same Vet for 30 plus years. Due to some issues with the pandemic I took a friend's recommendation and made an appointment at Ringtown. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I arrived. The facility was very clean. The Vet and Technicians were very professional and thorough. My dogs received a great wellness check and got their vaccinations. I am happy to have found such a great animal care facility! 04/10/23 update-On a previous visit I found out that they do laser therapy so my one dog just started. She is a senior dog with arthritis and laser therapy is supposed to work wonders. It is painless for my senior dog. A total of 5 treatments should help her for a long while. Just one more reason I am happy to be a client at Ringtown Veterinary Clinic! 12/12/23 So my dear old girl has been diagnosed with Kidney disease and the Doctor and Staff have been great! She had to have a short stay after being diagnosed and the Staff were great with her while she was there. Not sure how much time we will ultimately have together but, the Doctor and Staff are making sure that we are together as long as possible. Sadly both of my girls have crossed the rainbow bridge. Had they not had the great care from the Doctor’s and staff the girls would have passed a lot sooner. They were old girls but, the care they received kept them going as long a possible.
Sep 24, 2024 · Todd OwensI am so in love with this place. Dr Bernhardt is just amazing. I am happy to drive the 1 hour. Several times I've called early in the morning with an urgent need for 1 or 2 of my 40+ cats and they have gotten me in every single time with no $100 urgent fee like my old vet charged. Even when the outcome doesn't look good,Dr Bernhardt tells me how it is but with compassion. I don't want to take my rescues anywhere else.
