The other day I had to seek help to allow my sweet baby boy ( 16yo Doxie) cross rainbow bridge … he had been cared for the past 16years at Ridgeview and they were there for him in his final moments … the staff was very compassionate and caring towards us and allowed him to have a peaceful , respectful transition and allowed me time to spend with my Best Boy after his passing … I couldn’t have asked for a more compassionate experience ..

The environment at Ridgeview Veterinary Clinic is described as one that is profoundly empathetic, caring, and respectful, particularly evident during sensitive moments. The facility fosters a calm and supportive atmosphere, essential for both pets and their owners. Reviewers highlight the staff's compassionate approach, especially when assisting pets across the "rainbow bridge." This suggests a thoughtful design of spaces and procedures that prioritize peace and dignity during euthanasia, allowing pet parents crucial time for farewells. The long-standing relationship clients have with the clinic—some for over 20 years—speaks to a consistently welcoming and trusted environment where pets are treated as cherished "family members." The gentle demeanor of the veterinarians, such as Dr. Voll-Stouffer, contributes significantly to this calm and reassuring setting, making visits less stressful for anxious "fur babies" and their human companions.
As a comprehensive "Pet Hospital," Ridgeview Veterinary Clinic provides a full spectrum of veterinary services designed to meet the health needs of dogs and cats from puppyhood/kittenhood through their senior years. Their approach is holistic, emphasizing both preventive care and compassionate treatment for illnesses and end-of-life support. While the full list of specific services is not exhaustively detailed in the provided information, the nature of a long-standing "Pet Hospital" and the testimonials imply a broad range of core services, including:
General Wellness and Preventive Care: This would include routine check-ups, tailored vaccination programs, and health screenings vital for maintaining a pet's long-term health. Given the mention of caring for a 16-year-old dog for its entire life, preventive care is clearly a cornerstone.
Diagnosis and Treatment of Illnesses: The clinic would provide thorough examinations and diagnostic capabilities to identify and manage various medical conditions affecting pets.
Dental Care: A standard offering at comprehensive veterinary clinics, dental services would focus on maintaining oral hygiene and addressing dental diseases.
Surgical Procedures: Routine and potentially some advanced surgical services for common pet health issues would be available.
Nutrition and Diet Counseling: Guidance on appropriate diets for different life stages and health conditions is typically provided.
Parasite Prevention and Control: Programs to protect pets from fleas, ticks, heartworm, and intestinal parasites are essential components of preventive care.
Behavioral Counseling: Advice and support for common behavioral issues are often integrated into general practice.
Senior Pet Care: Special attention would be given to the unique needs of aging pets, including managing chronic conditions and ensuring comfort.
Emergency and Urgent Care: While dedicated 24/7 emergency services might be referred out, a long-standing clinic typically handles urgent care during business hours.
Euthanasia and Grief Support: A standout service highlighted by reviews, Ridgeview provides an exceptionally compassionate and respectful process for euthanasia, allowing ample time for owners to say goodbye and offering support during their grief.
Ridgeview Veterinary Clinic is characterized by several key features that set it apart and foster deep client loyalty:
Profound Compassion and Empathy: The most prominent feature is the staff's "very compassionate and caring" nature, particularly during difficult times like end-of-life care. This deep empathy is a defining characteristic of the clinic.

Treating Pets as Family: The sentiment "Treat our furbabies like the family members they are!" encapsulates the clinic's core philosophy, reassuring owners that their pets are truly valued and respected.
Experienced and Dedicated Staff: The long tenure of clients implies a stable and experienced team of veterinarians and support staff who are deeply committed to animal health and client satisfaction.

Nov 14, 2024 · Lisa Shankle ShankleI took my cat here for a checkup and shots he needed. He had a great experience! The receptionist Colleen Jobe was so nice and Dr Mellissa Voll- Stauffer and her assistant were excellent in the care they provided for him. Another cat I think his name was Walter sat by my cats side almost like telling him everything is OK, so cute. We love this place and highly recommend!!
Oct 25, 2024 · Roberta McdonaldMore than disappointed with this clinic, although I’m not sure why I am surprised. Years ago I had a bad experience with my dog, and last week they completely missed severe neurological issues with my cat that ultimately resulted in his death. The first tell should be the smell. The place absolutely reeks of dirty animals and the air purifier on the reception counter does nothing to help. The next concern was that the vet barely touched my cat before pronouncing she couldn’t find any physical abnormalities besides a low body temperature. After shelling out $270 for bloodwork and a bottle of liquid vitamins, I was told to have him lay on a heating pad and come back in 2 weeks, unless things got worse. Well, things did get worse, and I called to leave a message with the answering service, and I am still waiting for a return call. Long story short, less than 24 hours after leaving this office, my beloved cat was gone. When I called to cancel the 2-week follow-up appointment, I barely received a word of condolence. The one thing I’m sure they did for my cat was give him fleas when they took him to the back for bloodwork and based on the odor, I can’t even imagine how filthy that area must be. It may be too late for my cat, but I can try to get the word out about this place. Trust me, there are better places to take your pets for care.
