I will never take my cat to another vet again! Dr. Babcock saved our babies life this weekend. We had taken her to another vet a couple weeks before this one and they said everything was fine looking at her but did no tests on her at all. Said to come back if she kept having issues. She seemed better, then got sick very bad very fast. It got to the point my cat was so sick she needed emergency surgery immediately to survive. They did everything possible to make sure my cat was treated, and she’s back to her normal self besides healing ❤️ thankful for all of the great staff at this hospital that has cared for my baby girl!

We recently visited this location, driving down from Blairsville, to get help for our Doxie boy. He had become paralyzed in his back legs and was no longer able to walk. We tried our regular vet office here in Blairsville but we have not been very pleased with them and in this incident situation, pretty much told us they couldn’t help him. Visiting Red Barn has been awesome. We saw Dr. Donavan and she told us in detail exactly what was wrong and talked with us like a person with compassion, not like a doctor. She gave us some meds to give him and explained what we needed to do to help him get better. The techs were also so nice to us and helpful as well. Dr Donavan even called two days later to check up on him to see how he was doing and advised her to keep her posted on his condition and to call her anytime. I’m so thankful for Red Barn! Even though it’s an hour drive from us up here in the mountains, we have definitely found our new care office for him. Thank y’all so much for helping us! 🥰

I am so glad to recommend Red Barn. I was nervous to find a new "home" after relocating to Dahlonega, as our old vet was spectacular and made us feel like family. After an "ok" but disheartening visit to another vet in the area, I had to keep searching to find the best care for our five cats. Luckily, Red Barn was just a little farther down the road and it's safe to say we found our home! The entire staff from front desk, vet techs and the DVMs provide top-notch care. They're friendly, attentive, and highly skilled. In my experience, it's been easy to get in touch with them, they're prompt and professional, and they treat both the patients and owners with dignity and respect. I want to applaud them because they have a rewarding but difficult job! Not only are they caring for an animal, they also have to navigate the human stress and other emotions. I'm grateful to have a vet nearby who provides fear-free, easy routine care, and I would fully trust their practice in the event of an emergency.

We’ve been customers at Red Barn since 2012/2013. 5 years ago when we had to put our baby Olive down, I left a 5 star review because of how compassionate and empathetic I thought they were. We noticed a LARGE price hike after even just for vaccinations but remained loyal because of how they handled our girl. This past week couldn’t be farther from what we experienced 5 years ago. Our new baby Hazel managed to get part of a Kong toy lodged in her stomach/intestinal area. After spending about $600 on puppy Pepto and X-Rays we were then given these quotes for surgery: $10,000, $7,000, $5,000 or they could do it for $3,000 ($2,500 if we did cash) and there would be no aftercare given. The other options we were given were to put her down or ask the girls at the counter if they want her. I was floored and heartbroken. I’m not sure who can afford $10,000 for a puppy’s surgery but it’s definitely not us and I certainly was not ready to give up on her so I called around. Every other vet quoted us $1,500 - $2,300 depending on where the blockage was. We ended up taking our baby to Browns Bridge Animal Hospital who took care of her for a fraction of what Red Barn quoted us. And it included aftercare. I’m sad to say that they lost a long time loyal customer because of price gouging. I will not bring my babies back there. It honestly makes me question if I even needed to put my Olive down 5 years ago or if they were just not interested in helping her. I definitely advise you to shop around before deciding to use Red Barn.

We loved the experience. Everyone was kind & caring. We loved Dr. Kangas. She called the next day with our Baby Old Man's test results.
