If I could give zero stars I would. I bought my kitten a few months back and the process of getting him was beyond difficult due to this business not answering and pushing the time further to pick up my kitten. In addition, when I received my kitten he only had half of his whiskers and when I asked the lady why she had said it was due to him “getting rough with his litter mates” which literally makes no sense. The next day I woke up to my kitten having bad diarrhea, congestion, runny eyes, and was very lethargic. He had swollen eyes, a runny nose and so many seizures. I called the girl who runs this and they told me that it was “normal” and that it should go away, needless to say it never did. I would text and call all the time because they had said to contact if there was any questions but as usual there was no answer. After several vet visits and emergency room visits my kitten passed away yesterday. I truly believe this business gave me a sick kitten, and I tried everything in my power to save him. He wasn’t more than 6 months old. My kitten suffered for months due to whatever virus he had and as I’ve read in these reviews my kitten isn’t the first to be sick or pass away. They either don’t truly vaccinate their kittens, or do a poor job of keeping them in good health before giving them to a new family. This place needs to be shut down. My kitten is finally at peace but my heart is completely broken. As you can see in these pictures below he was suffering and in pain and swollen. RIP kiam, you were loved and cared for and will never be forgotten.

Ragnarok Cattery Introduce
Welcome to your local Pet Hospital platform, where we connect you with various pet-related services and goods. Today, we spotlight Ragnarok Cattery, a platform specializing in Ragdoll cats located at 5510 Ptolemy Way, Jurupa Valley, CA 91752, USA. You can reach them at (951) 622-5759 or mobile at +1 951-622-5759.
Ragnarok Cattery positions itself as an authority on Ragdoll cats, claiming to have been breeding this specific breed for 40 years. This extensive experience suggests a deep understanding of the breed's characteristics and potential needs. According to one reviewer, Ragnarok Cattery was considered "the authority when it came to Rag Doll Cats." The platform reportedly offers Ragdoll cats in a wide array of colors, catering to different preferences.
The environment at Ragnarok Cattery is described by one reviewer as "Safe, Healthy and in a Clean environment." This suggests that the cats are housed in conditions that prioritize their well-being. A caretaker reportedly resides next to the cattery, ensuring continuous monitoring and care for the animals seven days a week. This on-site presence could be seen as a commitment to the cats' welfare and security.
As a platform categorized under "Pet Hospital," one might expect a focus on the health and well-being of the animals. However, it is crucial to consider all available information, including customer reviews, to form a comprehensive understanding of the services provided. One detailed review paints a concerning picture regarding the health of a kitten purchased from Ragnarok Cattery. The reviewer described receiving a kitten with missing whiskers and subsequent development of severe symptoms such as diarrhea, congestion, runny eyes, lethargy, swollen eyes, a runny nose, and seizures. The reviewer claimed that their concerns were dismissed by the platform, and despite multiple veterinary and emergency room visits, the kitten tragically passed away at less than six months old. This customer expressed a strong belief that the kitten was already sick upon purchase and raised concerns about vaccination practices and overall health management at the cattery.
This negative review also mentions reading other reviews with similar experiences of kittens being sick or passing away after being acquired from Ragnarok Cattery. The reviewer urges for the platform to be shut down, highlighting the emotional distress and financial burden experienced. The inclusion of photographs showing the sick kitten further emphasizes the severity of the situation described.
In contrast, another reviewer who visited Ragnarok Cattery while looking for an indoor Ragdoll cat mentioned that the platform had both good and bad reviews online. This individual decided to visit the cattery personally to make their own assessment. Their review notes the long history of breeding Ragdolls (40 years) and acknowledges that the passing of the husband had caused a temporary slowdown in operations. However, this reviewer also highlights the presence of a caretaker ensuring a safe, healthy, and clean environment for the cats, describing them as "Happy Cats Bred Here." This positive perspective offers a different viewpoint on the care provided at Ragnarok Cattery.
It is important for local users seeking Ragdoll cats to carefully consider all available information. The significant discrepancy between the positive and negative reviews, particularly concerning the health of the kittens, warrants thorough investigation and cautious decision-making. While Ragnarok Cattery claims a long history and a caretaker dedicated to the cats' well-being, the detailed account of a deceased, sick kitten raises serious questions about their health practices and customer service responsiveness.
Potential customers are advised to conduct their own due diligence. This may include:
- Requesting detailed health records and vaccination history for any cat or kitten of interest.
- Arranging a visit to the cattery to personally assess the environment and the health of the cats.
- Seeking independent veterinary advice before and after acquiring a cat.
- Looking for additional recent reviews and testimonials from other customers.
- Inquiring about any health guarantees or return policies offered.
The information available online presents a mixed picture of Ragnarok Cattery. While their long-standing experience with Ragdoll cats and the presence of a caretaker suggest a level of dedication, the serious allegations regarding the health of kittens and the lack of responsiveness reported by one customer are significant concerns that prospective buyers should not overlook. As a platform connecting local users with pet-related services, we aim to provide an objective overview based on the available information, encouraging users to make informed decisions based on their own research and assessment.
Please note that the mention of "www.ragdoll.com" by one reviewer as a potential resource for finding information about Ragdoll cats may or may not be directly affiliated with Ragnarok Cattery. Users should verify any such connections independently.
In conclusion, Ragnarok Cattery, operating within the Pet Hospital category, is presented as a long-established breeder of Ragdoll cats in Jurupa Valley, California. While one reviewer praises their authority on the breed and the care environment, another provides a deeply concerning account of a sick kitten and poor customer service. Local users should weigh these contrasting perspectives and conduct thorough personal research before engaging with this platform.

Sep 10, 2024 · Gabriel MorenoI bought a cat from them. When he died of old age, I went back and bought another. They have a personality strain there that's SUPER friendly and relaxed. Follows me everywhere...
Mar 29, 2018 · Louise RansilI love my kitten and would spend every dollar I have to keep her healthy. That being said, when I picked her up. I was told one of the other kittens scratched her eye. After immediately taking her to the vet. I was told she had an upper respiratory infection that comes from having too many unvaccinated cats and one small confined area. Her eye was not scratched; it was a bad eye infection. Ragnarok Cattery told me she was 12 weeks old but the vet said she was no more than 8-10 weeks. Which is too young to be away from her mother. Now, her immune system is weak, get sick often and has chronic allergies, runny nose and eye infections. I’ve spent over $3000 in vet bills. This is after, paying $2000 for the kitten.
Feb 09, 2021 · SGSo sad to see all the bad reviews. I have a beautiful male ragdoll that I purchased for $800 7 years ago. People used to come from all over the country/world for these kittens. You'll note that the good reviews are several years old; that's because Dave loved the breed and took care of them. I called to get a second ragdoll a couple of years ago and found it difficult to get information, that the adult children were now involved, though they had not been interested when I had been there years before and the prices had doubled. Had the same experience with - "we'll send pictures" - and never received any. So glad we decided not to pursue the 2nd one. Grateful we got our boy when we did. He is healthy and gorgeous. So sad to see what's happened.
