I took our 9yr old German Shepherd that had been limping for several days to be evaluated. It was our first visit to Rabun Animal Hospital. Everyone was so friendly and caring and Dr. Betsy was gentle and thorough while examining him. I will definitely be bringing him again.

Never in my whole life of having a Furry companion have I ever experienced such compassion, empathy and thoughtful care like we did at my BFF's first appointment there! The entire staff was very friendly, helpful, complete and professional. The Veterinarian spent lots of time and thoroughly examined my dog, head to toe, and steered us in the right direction moving forward. I cannot thank Rabun County Animal Hospital enough for saving my 7-month-old kitten, Norman, during a terrifying time. A few days after his neuter, Norman began vomiting blood and became very lethargic. When I called the local vet who performed the procedure, I was met with dismissive responses and was told he couldn’t be seen until the next afternoon. Desperate, I called Rabun County Animal Hospital, and they immediately understood the urgency. I drove an hour to get there, and the staff’s kindness and professionalism put me at ease. Norman was seen right away, and Dr. Betsy Hartridge discovered that his fever was dangerously high at 105.8—close to organ failure. She and her team stayed late, providing life-saving fluids and antibiotics with exceptional care and compassion. Norman would not be happily making biscuits today if it weren’t for Dr. Betsy! Dr. Betsy and her team went above and beyond, even calling me after hours to update me on Norman’s progress. Thanks to Rabun County Animal Hospital, Norman is now incredibly happy and healthy again. My first rescue dog in NC, Finley, already had her spay appt setup at Rabun Animal Hospital when I adopted her. I was happy with the level of care provided and she had a quick recovery. I decided to stay with Rabun and now bring all three of my rescue dogs to Rabun. I appreciate that they make an extra effort with my younger male, who is very fearful and they're also great with my senior boy I just adopted in June. He has a bad history so the fact that they are all so kind and loving towards him, goes a long way. I definitely would recommend Rabun Animal Hospital, especially if you have special needs dogs who need extra TLC.

The vet waited after hours for us to bring in our golden that had slipped on wet mud after swimming and hurt her shoulder. They were professional, caring, kind and put my mind at ease. Luckily, we didn’t even require X-rays. So grateful!
