Both doctors are extremely caring and compassionate. They are very responsive and give a personal touch. We have a very good relationship and that’s what I wanted after experiencing a large corporation style vet that was only trying to sell me services my dogs did not need. I trust them.

Welcome to Putnam Vet Calls
For pet owners in Patterson, New York, and the wider Putnam County region, Putnam Vet Calls offers a uniquely personalized and profoundly compassionate approach to veterinary care. Unlike traditional brick-and-mortar clinics, Putnam Vet Calls brings professional veterinary services directly to your home. Based out of 24 NY-292, Patterson, NY 12563, USA, this service prioritizes convenience and comfort for both pets and their owners. You can easily reach them for appointments or inquiries by phone at (845) 878-3975 or via mobile at +1 845-878-3975.
Putnam Vet Calls operates under the overarching category of "Pet Hospital," even though it functions as a mobile veterinary service. This classification signifies its capability to provide a comprehensive range of medical services typically associated with a traditional clinic, but with the added benefit of in-home convenience. This approach is particularly advantageous for pets that experience stress or anxiety in clinical environments, or for owners with limited mobility or multiple pets. By removing the need for travel to a physical clinic, Putnam Vet Calls aims to reduce stress for animals and create a more relaxed setting for examinations and treatments.
The environment, in the context of Putnam Vet Calls, is your home, making it the most comfortable and familiar setting for your pet. This minimizes anxiety often associated with clinic visits, allowing for a more accurate assessment of your pet's health and behavior. The "bedside manner" of the veterinarians and staff is a crucial part of this "environment." Client reviews consistently highlight that the doctors are "extremely caring and compassionate" and "give a personal touch." This suggests a calm, respectful, and gentle approach to handling animals within their own territory. The focus is on creating a relaxed interaction, fostering a positive experience for the pet, which can be particularly beneficial for nervous animals. This personalized, in-home care contrasts sharply with the potentially stressful atmosphere of a busy clinic, promoting a more holistic and peaceful veterinary experience.
The services offered by Putnam Vet Calls are comprehensive and delivered with a distinctive personal touch. While a mobile vet service might have limitations compared to a full-scale hospital for emergency surgery or advanced imaging, they are equipped to handle a wide range of essential veterinary needs. These services include, but are not limited to:
Routine Wellness & Preventive Care: This includes physical examinations, vaccinations, parasite control, and general health assessments in the comfort of your home. This is ideal for maintaining your pet's ongoing health.
Diagnostic Services: While advanced imaging (like MRI or CT scans) would require referral, mobile vets often carry equipment for basic diagnostics such as blood collection for lab analysis, urinalysis, and potentially point-of-care testing for various conditions.
Management of Chronic Conditions: Providing ongoing care and medication management for pets with long-term health issues like arthritis, diabetes, or kidney disease, offering continuity and convenience.
Palliative Care & Hospice: A deeply compassionate service, allowing pets to receive comfort care in their familiar home environment during their final stages of life. This can significantly reduce stress for both the pet and the family.
In-Home Euthanasia: Overwhelmingly praised by clients, this service allows for a peaceful and dignified passing for beloved pets in the comfort and familiarity of their home, surrounded by their family. The empathy and care shown during this difficult time are a hallmark of their service.
Personalized Consultations: Taking the time to answer all questions and provide thorough explanations, ensuring pet owners feel informed and confident in their pet's care plan.
A significant feature of Putnam Vet Calls is the deeply personal and trust-based relationship they build with clients. Reviews emphasize a distinct departure from "large corporation style vet" practices, which some clients feel are "only trying to sell me services my dogs did not need." In contrast, Putnam Vet Calls is consistently described as responsive, giving a personal touch, and fostering a "very good relationship" built on trust. The long-standing loyalty of clients, with some having their "pups for 9 years," speaks volumes about the consistent quality and personalized attention. The profound impact of their compassionate care during difficult times, such as when a beloved pet needs to be put down, is another defining feature. Clients describe their compassion and care as "overwhelming" and affirm that the team members are "true animal lovers." This emotional support during a pet's final moments is invaluable to grieving families. The commitment to understanding a pet's unique needs and avoiding unnecessary procedures distinguishes them as a client-centric practice.
In terms of promotional information, Putnam Vet Calls relies heavily on its reputation for personalized, compassionate, and trustworthy care. The glowing testimonials from satisfied clients serve as their most powerful promotional tool. The emphasis on being "true animal lovers" and providing a "personal touch" directly counters common frustrations pet owners might have with larger, more impersonal clinics. While specific time-limited discounts are not overtly advertised in the provided information, the value proposition lies in the convenience, reduced stress for pets, and the deeply empathetic approach to care. Their mobile service inherently promotes convenience, particularly for multi-pet households or those with mobility challenges. Prospective clients are encouraged to reach out directly via phone at (845) 878-3975 or +1 845-878-3975 to discuss their pet's needs and experience this unique model of veterinary care. The positive word-of-mouth and the explicit trust expressed by long-term clients form the bedrock of their marketing strategy, indicating that their service quality speaks for itself.

Apr 01, 2025 · Denise CassanoThe team at Putnam Vet are fabulous! They have been taking cate of our pups for 9 years. We unfortunately had to put our beloved bassett Fred down due to a terminal health issue. Their compassion and care were overwhelming. They are true animal lovers.
Jun 14, 2023 · Marianna TompkinsI’ve tried most vets around the Pawling/Patterson/Brewster areas. Some vets the wait times checking in/out were outrageous, one vet in Patterson grossly misdiagnosed cancer in one of my dogs and wasted precious months by giving him antibiotics and steroids to decrease a mass inside of him which was clearly cancer. I then stumbled upon Putnam Vet Care/Calls. They’re honest, caring, and just super lovely. I’ve never had to wait longer than a minute to check in or out and I never seem to be a bother to them with questions regarding all my pets. They also quickly diagnosed an aggressive cancer in another one of my dogs which we were able to successfully get treatment. They’ve always been spot-on with their diagnoses. Won’t go anywhere else.
Apr 13, 2023 · Patricia PascaleGrowing up with dogs our whole lives but never "caring" for them like they were our own responsibility, new dog owners can be over protective. My husband and I adopted a puppy in 2014 at 8 weeks old. We asked all around the neighborhood for vet recommendations before she was old enough for her shots and checkup. After recommendations of your standard "large" vet facilities were they rarely know the customers by name and require lots of money for simple procedures, we did some research ourselves. One visit to Putnam Vet Care and we KNEW it was Ava's place to be. We were so comfortable there and they took such good care of our new fur baby. Many times as new parents, we tend to over react and get worried about an easy fix. The overall feel of being in the office, calms our nerves. Laid back, caring, and knowledgeable. Dr. Bucci & Dr. Brummitt both continue to give us great suggestions on any questions we ask to better our parenting to our girl. Anytime we need an appointment, they squeeze us in and accommodate our busy schedules. We have recently moved quite a distance away, but we will NOT be moving vets. Putnam Vet Care is our choice of quality service! Thank you!

Aug 05, 2015 · Kelly CuccurulloMy Dad used to bring his Sheltie "frisky " to Putnam vet calls for any issues. We have been bringing our Rottweiler "Ginger" since she was a puppy. I never thought I'd see her look so forward to going to see the vet, but she does. Their prices are reasonable, and they will truly love and care for your pet as if he or she were their own.
