We have been seeing all the incredible and compassionate vets at Providence Vets for over 20 years. They have a knack for really figuring out what is really going on with our pets issues and have literally turned around some bad situations for them. Their caring has also encompassed end of life care for two of our previous older fur babies. We have always counted on their expertise and great attitudes. And they have awesome techs and assistants working with them.

Mar 21, 2025 · Jyl EdwardsWonderful experience at Providence with Dr Weeks and staff! Our dogs are very important to us and we felt comfortable from the moment we entered the office. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. The vet techs were caring and patient. Our trust in Dr Weeks goes back many years and we would recommend his practice for your family pet.
Feb 06, 2025 · Robert McNeillEXTRAORDINARY AVIAN CARE! I had noticed my Silkie roo, "Walter Walnut" had lethargy earlier in the week. By the time it dawned on me it could be a crop impaction, several days had passed and I was frantically trying to find someone that could see him. I hadn't been impressed with a previous vet closer to my home, so I took the chance with this clinic because at this point I was desperate and they had a lot of positive reviews....so I made the long drive and crossed my fingers. The second I walked in, I was greeted by the most compassionate staff members that oogled over my chicken. The got us in a room and Dr Lail gave him a complete work-up examining his whole body. At my previous clinic-they barely even touched my chickens. So seeing the thorough care Dr Lail was providing really impressed me. She spotted some "red flags" and swabbed his throat to examine under the microscope which turned out to be bacteria. So after diagnosing the impacted crop with secondary issues, she gave me a lot of options for treatment. I decided to leave him there so they could do a crop flush between clients. My husband picked him up in the afternoon after his procedure and he was sent home with several medications. Well today, two days post treatment, he is back to his usual self and his crop is emptying normally overnight as it should. He attacked his brother, stepped in his spagetti noodle treat and tipped the bowl out everywhere, angerly pecked some romaine lettuce, tried getting "frisky" with my shoe.....he's definitely back to normal LOL. The care that he and I both received from the staff truly goes above and beyond any other clinic I've ever been to, if you have exotics (especially birds), I definitely recommend you run don't walk to this place! Thank you for getting Walter back to his normal, terrible self!
Jan 26, 2025 · Rebecca BurgerWe have taken our pup to Providence Animal Hospital since she was a puppy. We have seen different veterinarians along the way and have had our favorites (looking at you, Dr. Hay and Dr. Weeks) but absolutely LOVE Dr. Lail. She has taken exceptional care of our baby over the past few years but now that our baby is nearly 13 and has an aggressive cancer she has gone above and beyond to talk us through options. Everyone who works there is compassionate and professional. I highly recommend Providence Animal Hospital, Dr. Lail and all of the vet techs, assistants and office staff.
Dec 04, 2024 · Andrea GamlinI don’t usually write negative reviews, but this one is necessary. I went in for a checkup for my pets, and the #1 issue was when the vet tech instructed me to administer a medication orally. However, when I got home and read the packaging, I saw that the medication was supposed to be applied topically. This is a huge issue—be aware of misinformation from the staff. #2: The medication I paid for had only 4 doses instead of 6. When I called the clinic, they said they could give me the remaining prescription. So, the next morning I went in early, taking a few hours off work because of their mistake. When I got there, they gave me the refill and offered a free check-up appointment for my pet as a follow-up. At that point, I thought I wouldn’t write this review because they seemed to want to make things right and compensate me for the misinformation and the wasted time. However, the next day, Caroline, the practice manager, called me and informed me that there would be no compensation because the refill they provided of the missing dosage that I initially PAID for (and was not filled correctly due to their mistake) was sufficient. This is ridiculous—I paid for a full dosage but was given less than what I paid for. I also had to take time off work to make a very long drive there to get the remaining prescription. The manager assumed I might be giving my pet more dosage than I should, but I’m just following the instructions they provided. Instead of acknowledging their error, they assumed the customer was at fault, even though they didn’t fill the bottle correctly. This is a bottle they fill, not a sealed pre-filled one like other medications. For the manager to call and retract the initial offer is also incredibly frustrating. Also, if I hadn’t read the fine print on the label and had given my pet the medication orally, something terrible could have happened. The people running this vet are not communicating well, and they lack understanding and empathy for their customers.
