PriorityVet - Total Pet Care of Toms River , NJ

We brought our 16 year old Whippet/Italian Greyhound, Jet in after he started losing his balance, couldn't walk, and his eye was twitching. We thought for sure we were going to lose him. They took him right in, started him on some fluids and told us the he most likely had Vertigo! I had never heard of a dog having this, but the doctor said the eye twitch was indicative of Vertigo and most likely, Jet would be fine in about a week or so. It was a long week of feeding him with a syringe and keep him hydrated, but he recovered fully! We are so grateful for Priority Vet and their expertise and knowledge!! Amazing doctors and staff!

We had a last minute incident where my dog swallowed a silicone muffin cup. It was really last minute and they were close to closing but they were able to squeeze us in. They were compassionate and eased my mind by explaining everything they would do thoroughly and could tell that they genuinely cared about getting my pup back to being herself. They were upfront about the price before the procedure which was nice because I know emergency care can get pricey and I liked the transparency they provided. I cannot recommend their care enough!

Sadly, I had to put one of my dogs down and they were very compassionate about it and had great bedside manners. Per their advice, we ended up putting him down instead of risking surgery because of his age. It was a very painful few hours there but that’s what happens when we age. It took us over a year to bring ourselves to come get his ashes and they insisted or they will spread his ashes in a flower field for us. They gave us extra few sets of his paw print and locks of his hair. Highly recommend!

If I could give them 10 stars I would! My son’s sweet little cat Onyx got sick in my care, and I’m not from this area. It started with sneezing, then wheezing, and by the time I brought him in, I was pretty concerned. The staff at Priority Vet treated us with so much care and compassion! CVT Raz, Rae, Mason, Reilly and the attending vet were all so very wonderful! It’s obvious they all know what they’re doing and that they really love the animals in their care. There is plenty of parking, easy access, and their prices are much more reasonable than I expected for an urgent care vet. If anyone ever needs to see a vet, rest assured your fur babies will be well taken care of here!

If I could give a 10 star review, I would. My cat became very ill out of no where. I rushed her here at 9:30pm, and was immediately seen. My cat is a torti so naturally she is very “spicy.” The staff, and vet immediately made us all feel comfortable and were so hands on and straight too the point, which I appreciate. They were all so kind, so knowledgeable, and so friendly. My cat had the surgery she needed to save her life, and I brought her back for a check up. She’s on the road too a full recovery! I cried in happiness and the doctor, techs, and everybody was so compassionate and they genuinely care. I’m hoping not to be back on bad terms, but am forever grateful for this practice.
