Welcome to Post Road Veterinary Clinic

Post Road Veterinary Clinic, located at 746 Post Rd, Wells, ME 04090, USA, is listed as a Pet Hospital in the local area. Understanding the environment, services, and features of a veterinary clinic is crucial for pet owners seeking the best care for their animal companions. While direct information about the clinic's facilities and comprehensive service list is not available within the provided data, the customer reviews offer some insights into recent experiences.

One positive aspect highlighted in the reviews is the welcoming presence of a staff member named Christine, described as "one of the kindest people I’ve ever met" with a "warm smile." This suggests that at least some members of the team prioritize a friendly and welcoming demeanor, which can contribute to a positive initial impression for pet owners visiting the clinic.

However, another review presents a significant concern regarding recent changes at Post Road Veterinary Clinic. This customer, who had been a client for some time based on a "friendly local recommendation," expresses disappointment and attributes these changes to the clinic being "sold out to corporate." The reviewer notes the absence of their "normal vet Dr" and mentions an "upgrade of changes of staff/ prices," implying potential alterations in personnel and service costs.

The most गंभीर concern raised in this review pertains to an annual yearly check-up for the reviewer's dog, Lucille, who subsequently passed away from internal cancer issues two months later. The reviewer states that they "literally walked in and walked out telling me nothing" during this visit. This suggests a lack of thoroughness or communication during the examination, which the reviewer believes may have contributed to the delayed diagnosis of Lucille's serious condition. The reviewer strongly advises against using this clinic, alleging that it "clearly just want your money" and characterizing it as a "hole in the wall establishment" post-acquisition.

This negative review also expresses a broader sentiment about the difficulty of finding independent, "mom and pop" veterinary clinics and criticizes the perceived "corporate greed" associated with the changes at Post Road Veterinary Clinic. The reviewer also directs a comment towards a "Dr N," suggesting a former owner or long-time veterinarian who may have been involved in the decision to sell the practice, lamenting the lack of communication about the sale to long-time clients.

Given the stark contrast between the positive mention of a kind staff member and the very negative experience described in the other review, it is challenging to provide a balanced overview of the current environment, services, and features of Post Road Veterinary Clinic based solely on this limited and conflicting information. The negative review raises serious questions about the quality of care, communication, and potential changes in the clinic's ethos following a reported corporate acquisition.

Without further information, it is impossible to objectively detail the specific services offered at Post Road Veterinary Clinic. Typically, a Pet Hospital provides a range of services including routine check-ups, vaccinations, preventative care, diagnostics (such as blood work and imaging), medical treatments, and potentially surgical procedures. However, the recent changes mentioned in the review might have impacted the availability or quality of these services.

Similarly, information regarding any promotional offers or specific features of the clinic (such as specialized equipment or areas of expertise) is not available in the provided text. The negative review suggests a potential increase in prices, but without concrete data, this cannot be confirmed.

In conclusion, the available customer feedback for Post Road Veterinary Clinic in Wells, ME, presents a mixed picture. While one reviewer highlights a kind staff member, the other expresses significant concerns about the clinic's recent transition to corporate ownership, citing issues with staff changes, potential price increases, and, most seriously, a negative experience with an annual check-up that preceded their dog's death. This information suggests that local users considering Post Road Veterinary Clinic should be aware of these recent criticisms and potentially seek further information or consider alternative options for their pet's care. The lack of detailed information about the current services, environment, and features, coupled with the serious allegations in the negative review, makes it difficult to provide a comprehensive and positive introduction to this Pet Hospital at this time.

For local users, it would be prudent to seek additional reviews or information from other sources, or perhaps contact the clinic directly to inquire about their current services, staff, and pricing policies to form their own informed opinion. The contrasting feedback highlights the importance of thorough research when choosing a veterinary care provider for your beloved pets.

Was with this vet for a while from a friendly local recommendation until they decided to sell out to corporate clearly. My normal vet Dr was no where to be seen with a recent upgrade of changes of staff/ prices. My last initial visit was an annually yearly check up for my deceased dog yes you heard me correct. Literally walked in and walked out telling me nothing and two months later my poor Lucille passed away from internal cancer issues in her stomach. Don’t go to this vet, clearly just want your money. Good luck. Hard to find mom and pop vet clinics in the state but trust me there still around just have to travel. Corporate greed at its finest. Also Dr N you could’ve given your long time clients a heads up before selling off this now hole in the wall establishment.

My Cocker Spaniel Ladybug saw Dr Dahl last week. It was our first visit. Great staff and wonderful vet. The Dr listened to all my concerns and provided us with excellent care. So glad I changed Vet Clinics. I had been with a Clinic in Berwick,ME since it opened many years ago, however since the front office staff and vet techs left the practice recently I knew it was time to look for a new vet. On the advise of a friend who knew the owners and the senior vet tech at Post Road Vet I made the call for an appointment for my 12 yr old Ladybug. From the exam table that raises up saving all our backs especially mine and Ladybug's since we both suffer from bad backs to the awesome tech who followed Ladybug around outside multiple times trying to get a pee sample. I was thrilled at the level of professionalism, and caring for my girl. I highly recommend this clinic. I have been to many vet clinics in multiple states over the years and I am very impressed with Post Road Vet clinic. Thank you for taking good care of Ladybug and checking on her multiple times since the appointment

I am here from out of town and my little guy developed an ear issue. I called at 9 am on a Friday morning and Buster was seen at 11. The staff was wonderful, my very skiddish sick little dog was well cared for and made comfortable, diagnosed and treated with such compassion and understanding that it set me at ease as well. Thank you thank you thank you.

I needed a vet who could do testing for travel to Hawaii (rabies titer and health certificate.) Of the vets I found, I instantly felt most comfortable with Post Rd as they were very familiar with the process, and did lots of legwork to make sure my questions were answered. They made multiple calls to Hawaii to verify things, and followed up with the tests to make sure all was in order. Being nervous about my dog landing in quarantine from insufficient paperwork, I was very grateful for the due diligence. All in all, they made it an easy process, and made my dog feel comfortable during the exams (she can get easily traumatized.) Great staff and doc.
