We've only been in the San Jose Forest neighborhood for a little over 6 months. We found Dr Mel almost immediately at Kings Trail Animal Hospital- my pug mix was having gastro issues and we knew she was approaching her end of life. Dr Mel was open to our questions and considered our emotional needs. When the time came, and we knew Petunias quality of life was in question, Dr Mel helped us understand our options for pain-free Euthanasia. We chose a comfortable at home approach. We are forever thankful for her kindness and attention.

Feb 09, 2025 · Marie Moore LeavittDr Mel was so loving and caring with our family and our beautiful German Shepherd as she crossed the rainbow bridge. Cancer had taken over her body and we knew it was time. If our family ever has to do this again, hopefully not, I will definitely invite Dr Mel into our home again. Thank you Dr Mel.
Mar 12, 2025 · Debby NelsonDr.Mel came to our home to help our baby cross the rainbow bridge In the comfort of his own home. It will never feel like the right time to choose the time to put your fur baby down but when you do find yourself needing to do so home euthanasia is more comforting then driving to the vet. Dr.Mel was very kind and caring during the hardest day my husband and I have gone through together. Thank you Dr.Mel for our baby’s transition to doggy heaven.
Sep 15, 2024 · Alyssa KabbaniRAVE: Finally, it's a bit fresh, but what a beautiful experience Dr. Mel and her husband, James, of Polly Tails, made my 14 year old Pitt Bull's euthanasia in my home. From being kind, caring and compassionate, to treating Lulu with reverence and dignity. Making sure she had pain meds first to help her relax and ease her pain. Taking their time and letting me boo hoo, laugh, cry and ball as I shared stories of Lulu and her Daddy, Billy, my late boyfriend or of Smoke, my Chihuahua and Lulu. You just know you're in the company of very special people!! I was able to get in the same day and thanks, also, to Amy who handled the phone call and basically held my hand via text the few hours leading up to their arrival. What a Godsend this company is!!! I can't wait to get Lulu's cremains back. They left me the 2 vials on the Crevasse flyer, which are locks of her hair. One of those now lives in my car so Lulu gets to ride with me everywhere, just like she loved!!! Their phone # is below. Everyone hug your fur babies a little tighter today. Especially the elder ones. I know I will be hugging on Smoke. I will love and miss you forever Wooty Woo!!
Mar 14, 2025 · Trish BohannonDr Mel was so kind, gentle and very knowledgeable. She took her time and was very loving towards my Jasper who was ready for the pain to be relieved. She explained what she was doing with each step of the process. I definitely recommend her if your pet is in need of help.
