When we were in town staying at my son‘s house for Christmas, our 13-year-old Pomchow was attacked by a larger neighbor dog. We brought her here. They did x-rays and found that she had several broken ribs. They told us that she wasn’t gonna make it. They gave her pain medicine and made her comfortable. They were extremely kind to us and her. She passed before we could see her again. They brought her to us in a private comfortable room and we had as much time with her as we needed. The staff showed care and compassion. Not only that, but we weren’t overcharged in our time of emergency. A week later, my daughter received Daisy’s ashes. They were in a nice wooden box, and they included a paw print that the Hospital had made before cremating her. It was an immensely thoughtful gesture from a place that understands how much our pets are also family.

Jan 14, 2025 · Rebecca BurgessWords cannot express how grateful I am to these folks, especially Dr. Brady. My sweet three legged dog came with an extremely complicated case, and after careful assessment, they found a way to save her one remaining hind leg. It’s been over a year since the procedure, and her quality of life is great for a disabled dog. The surgeon and techs are angels. Thank you for saving my animal companion!
May 14, 2025 · Elizabeth HAfter 3 vets in my area told me they couldn’t perform the surgery on my dog I was recommended to points east. From the moment I walked into their facility until 3 weeks post op I had nothing but a pleasant experience. The staff and doctors were top notch. Everything was laid out in front of me, what needed to be done, when it needed to be done, and how it was going to be done. Without the help of Doctor Brady and his team of doctors and staff at points east my dog would not be here today.
May 15, 2025 · Geno MalliaIt's taken me a while to be able to write this review but I knew I needed to. We had to put our sweet girl down in October. It happened suddenly and we were unprepared, but she was having seizures and she was 18. It was time. We found this vet through a Google search and I called before bringing her in to see how much it would cost since it was so unexpected. They were nice from the get-go. We got there with all three of our kids in the middle of the night and they took us to a quiet room while they prepped our Roxy. They were transparent and respectful through the entire process and when it was over, they gave us her body in a nice burial bag so we could take her home and bury her. A few weeks later, we received a pretty card signed by the employees. It was a sweet touch. The whole thing was traumatic and incredibly painful, but everyone, from the vet to the techs to the receptionist, made the process as easy as they could. The receptionist even gave me a hug as we were walking out. Of all the places we could have gone to for such a painful choice, I'm forever grateful that we chose this one.
Dec 21, 2024 · Brooke HodgeI've had the misfortune of having to bring two dying senior dogs to Points East within one year. Neither of which were expected, both sudden and out of nowhere. After yesterday's loss, all I can think about is just how often the wonderful staff at this specialty vet have to experience this. Last Spring, it was Dr. Holtaway who oversaw care for my sweet Gibbs and was very patient with us while we insisted we be in the room while he receive the transfusion that would enable him to come home and leave the world from the comfort of his own bed. Yesterday it was Dr. Rhoden, who had to deal with me suddenly losing my angel Luna. I didn't know what was going on when I brought her in, but by the time they had her on the gurney outside of my car, she looked the same as Gibbs did when he was dying, so my gut knew what was coming. Dr. Rhoden came outside as I was moving my car because she knew Luna didn't have long for this world and led me back to be with her. I wish I had known she was leaving, and I would have let her go in peace at the house too, but the staff at Points East eased the pain with their incredibly kind service. You couldn't ask for a better place to be available when you're going through the worst.
