Dr. Berdeen and his staff are so wonderful at Pointe South Animal Hospital. Hazel and Charlie are always to cared for when they need to be seen. Hazel had to go in for an emergency wound on her stomach and they were able to work us into their day very quickly. The staff was compassionate and caring as they helped clean and treat our sweet Hazel’s wound. We greatly appreciate the communication from the staff to make sure our pet’s are needs are met and remain healthy and happy! We always look forward to our next visit!

Based on feedback from pet owners, experiences at Pointe South Animal Hospital appear to vary. One customer shared a positive experience, highlighting the prompt attention their pet received for an emergency wound. They commended Dr. Berdeen and the staff for their wonderful care, compassion, and effective communication in treating their pet Hazel. This positive account suggests that the hospital is capable of providing timely care, especially in urgent situations, and that some members of the staff are perceived as compassionate and caring.

However, another customer reported a less satisfactory experience. This review raises concerns about the thoroughness of examinations, the practice of charging for services that were allegedly not fully completed, and the follow-up care provided. Specifically, the reviewer mentioned bringing their pet in with suspected ear infection symptoms, but claimed that the ears were not examined, yet medication was prescribed. This same reviewer also described difficulties with refilling preventative medications, allegedly due to a lack of records at the hospital, despite a recent purchase. Furthermore, the reviewer felt their dog was unfairly labeled as "difficult" and expressed a general sentiment of feeling like an inconvenience rather than a valued client. This feedback also indicates a perceived lack of empathy and issues with customer relations. The reviewer, who had been a customer for a few years, stated they had never received exceptional service, primarily choosing this hospital out of convenience.

The update from the second reviewer further emphasizes concerns about record-keeping and the responsiveness to customer feedback. The reviewer suggests that clients should maintain their own records, implying potential inconsistencies in the hospital's record management. The interaction with someone named Nancy, who appears to respond to reviews, is characterized as argumentative and unwilling to take responsibility for perceived mistakes. The reviewer recounts an instance where they were allegedly charged for an incomplete exam, with the response indicating that the situation would be used as a "learning experience" rather than acknowledging a potential error. The discrepancy regarding the purchase date of preventatives further illustrates the conflicting accounts and the reviewer's overall negative impression of the hospital's administrative and customer service practices.

Considering these contrasting experiences, it's important for local users to weigh these perspectives. Pointe South Animal Hospital may offer prompt attention in some emergency situations, and some staff members, like Dr. Berdeen, are described as wonderful and compassionate. This could be a significant factor for pet owners seeking immediate care.

On the other hand, potential clients should also be aware of the reported issues concerning the thoroughness of examinations, billing practices, record-keeping accuracy, and customer service interactions. The negative review suggests that some pet owners have felt that the care provided was not always focused on the animal's health and that communication and empathy may be lacking in some instances.

Based purely on the provided information, it is challenging to definitively characterize the overall environment and standard practices of Pointe South Animal Hospital. The two reviews present differing viewpoints, with one highlighting positive aspects like compassionate emergency care and the other pointing out significant concerns regarding service quality and customer relations.

As there is no explicit promotional information provided in the text, we cannot comment on any current offers or specific features being promoted by Pointe South Animal Hospital. Local users are encouraged to consider these firsthand accounts when making decisions about their pet's veterinary care and perhaps seek further information or clarification from the hospital directly based on their individual needs and concerns.

In summary, Pointe South Animal Hospital is a Pet Hospital in Randleman, NC, that has received both positive feedback regarding compassionate emergency care and less favorable feedback concerning examination thoroughness, billing, record-keeping, and customer service. Potential clients should consider these varying experiences when choosing a veterinary provider for their pets.

They charge for everything possible without even caring about the health of your animal or completing anything they charge you for. We came in with suspicions of an ear infection, they didn’t even check his ears and prescribed medication in hopes that it would help. Didn’t even follow up or anything. We ended up going to another vet for a second opinion and they were able to properly assess and prescribe the right medication. When it was time to refill preventives after this incident, the order couldn’t go through because “they had no record and we needed to come in for a heartworm test,” although the prescription states it expires next month and we bought a 3 month supply from them 3 months prior at their annual visit. She continually called my dog “difficult” because he was in pain during his assessment. These people will make you and your animals feel like an inconvenience and just another number. I’ve been here for a few years now for annuals and have never been met with exceptional service. I only went here out of convenience due to moving around and familiarity, but ironically they don’t even know me or my dogs. This place lacks empathy and customer relations. Notice how Nancy responds to all reviews never taking responsibility for this offices mistakes. She was terribly rude and states “they did nothing wrong” when charging me for an exam without completing an exam but they will use it as a learning experience. UPDATE: As the reply shows, keep up with all your records because apparently they do not keep records either! Nancy will argue that they never do wrong, and even laugh at your concerns. I couldn’t have purchased preventatives for this dog in January of 2023 because I didn’t own him until April of 2023. I’m not usually one to leave a review, but left one solely to warn others of the poor care I’ve received multiple times with no corrections and others seem to have had similar experiences.

Dr Berdeen and his team are fantastic! Barkley and Bo love their trips to the Vet! Treats, belly rubs and hugs! Thank you everyone for making us feel like family!

I’ve taken my pets here for over 10 years, and I have never had a bad experience. They have wonderful vets, and the techs are good about asking you before doing something about the expense. I wish the rates for spaying/ neutering were more affordable, but the service you get is to come back for…and the front desk staff are always happy to be there and happy to see my pets.

I took my dog to Pointe South. The nurse was very good with my dog and seemed like she genuinely cared for my dog. The doctor came into the room and looked at him for maybe 5 minutes max. She told me it was just an infection and it should be fine with antibiotics and anti inflammatory medication. After the medication was done, i noticed that the swelling was not going away at all. I took him to another vet and they discovered it was a Fractured tooth abscess. Pointe South didn’t care to thoroughly look at my dogs teeth, but they sure did want me to spend money on medications that would only suppress it for a limited amount of time. I’m very disappointed on how little they genuinely cared about my dogs health.
