Welcome to Plymouth Animal Hospital
For pet owners in Plymouth, New Hampshire, and the surrounding areas, Plymouth Animal Hospital serves as a local "Pet Hospital" dedicated to providing veterinary care for a variety of animal companions. Located at 42 Smith Bridge Rd, Plymouth, NH 03264, USA, the hospital aims to offer services that support the health and well-being of beloved pets. You can contact them by phone at (603) 536-1213 or via mobile at +1 603-536-1213.
While specific details about the physical environment of Plymouth Animal Hospital are not extensively provided in the given reviews, the overall impression is that of a busy yet dedicated veterinary practice. The staff is described as "wonderful" and "amazing," suggesting a welcoming and caring atmosphere despite potentially high patient volume. The positive feedback about adorable bandage changes indicates a team that approaches animal care with attentiveness and a touch of warmth.
The clinic's environment, therefore, can be characterized by its focus on animal patients, from common household pets like dogs and cats to smaller companions such as bunnies and rats. This multi-species approach suggests a versatile and adaptable setting designed to accommodate a broad range of animal needs. Despite being "busy," the staff's dedication to making each interaction positive contributes to an overall supportive environment for pet owners.
Plymouth Animal Hospital offers veterinary services for a diverse range of animal "babies," including bunnies, rats, cats, and dogs, indicating a broad scope of practice typically found in a comprehensive "Pet Hospital." Their services aim to address various health needs for these different species. Based on client feedback, their offerings likely include:
- Multi-Species Veterinary Care: The ability to care for a wide array of pets, from traditional dogs and cats to more specialized companions like bunnies and rats, is a significant service offered. This suggests veterinarians and staff with expertise in managing the unique health requirements of different animal types.
- Routine and Preventative Care: While not explicitly detailed, the mention of "all our animal babies" implies that the hospital provides standard routine check-ups, vaccinations, and general health maintenance to keep pets well.
- Injury and Ailment Treatment: The positive comment about a "bandage change" suggests they handle acute injuries and post-procedural care. This indicates their involvement in treating existing health issues and providing follow-up care.
However, it is important to note that client experiences regarding diagnostic accuracy have varied. One review indicates a serious concern where a dog's condition was initially diagnosed as arthritis but later discovered to be fatal bone cancer. This particular feedback highlights the importance of thorough and accurate diagnostic processes in veterinary medicine and serves as a point of consideration for potential clients.
Plymouth Animal Hospital possesses several features that distinguish it within the local veterinary landscape:
- Dedicated and Wonderful Staff: A strong recurring theme from positive reviews is the quality of the staff. They are consistently described as "wonderful" and "amazing" in their interactions with both animals and their owners. This suggests a team that is genuinely compassionate and committed to their work.
- Capability with Diverse Pet Species: The hospital's ability to care for a wide range of animals, including bunnies and rats alongside dogs and cats, is a notable feature. This makes them a convenient option for households with multiple types of pets, as they can potentially receive care at a single location.
- High Patient Volume: The acknowledgment that "Even though they are busy they are worth it!" indicates that the hospital likely manages a significant number of patients. This could be seen as a sign of popularity or a testament to their staff's efficiency in managing a busy schedule.
Conversely, a critical feature that emerges from the feedback is a concern regarding diagnostic accuracy in complex cases. The misdiagnosis of bone cancer as arthritis is a serious concern for any "Pet Hospital" and indicates an area where client trust may be impacted. This contrasting feedback means potential clients should consider their specific needs and priorities when evaluating the hospital's features.
For pet owners in Plymouth, NH, and the surrounding areas seeking veterinary care for a diverse range of animal companions, Plymouth Animal Hospital offers a service delivered by a dedicated and generally well-regarded staff. Operating as a "Pet Hospital," they are equipped to handle the needs of traditional pets like dogs and cats, as well as smaller, less common household animals such as bunnies and rats.
The hospital is praised by some clients for its "wonderful staff" who demonstrate care and attentiveness, even when busy. This can be appealing for pet owners looking for a compassionate team to care for their "animal babies." The convenience of being able to bring multiple species to one location is also a clear benefit.
However, prospective clients should be aware of the varied experiences reported by customers. While many appreciate the staff's dedication and the comprehensive care for various species, the serious concern raised about a misdiagnosis of a life-threatening condition indicates that clients should consider discussing their pet's specific health concerns thoroughly and perhaps seeking second opinions for complex or ambiguous diagnoses. Ultimately, your decision should weigh the positive experiences regarding staff compassion and multi-species capability against the critical feedback on diagnostic accuracy, aligning with what you prioritize most in a "Pet Hospital" for your beloved companion.

May 15, 2023 · sam morrisonTold us that our dog had arthritis. A month later she is now dead from bone cancer. Incompetent. I would give zero stars if possible.
May 11, 2025 · Daniel CutrightDr. Melanson performed the euthansia for my beloved dog. She was so gentle and respectful towards him, and treated him with dignity. She made a very heartbreaking experience more bearable. I have some peace in my heart knowing that his final moments were quiet and loving. I highly recommend Dr. Melanson for her compassion and kindness.
Dec 09, 2024 · Kristen GouldVery feels like home aspect with Vets who care about your pet as much as you do. I've had everything from yearly checkups/shots for my cat to surgery and I wouldn't have wanted it done anywhere else. Aside from my cat's on going struggle, she's at her most peaceful now that Plymouth Animal is her veterinarian. 🫶🏼 I would also say that compared to big cities, Plymouth NH Veterinary hospital is fairly priced. 🫶🏼 🐈⬛🐈🐈⬛
