Everyone here is top notch. I've been coming here for almost 4 years, 2 dogs, and couldn't be happier with the entire staff. The Doctors are great at explaining everything thoroughly. All of the assistants are so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Very quick at getting in. The least expensive vet I've been to in 20 years. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Pleasantview veterinary. 💜

I am very impressed with the Vets and Staff! From the first phone call right up until we walked out after my fur baby's procedure. Dr Gilbert went over everything with me and didn't leave until I understood and was comfortable. They are definitely in it for the animals NOT the money. Yes, they are busy BUT they work like a finely tuned instrument. I highly recommend Dr. Gilbert (both of them) and their staff.

*IF YOU LOVE YOUR ANIMAL GO ANYWHERE ELSE* This place has to be farming reviews because so many people around Big Rapids have horrible stories about the harm done to their animals here. They killed my friend’s cat. This is the worst vet clinic I’ve ever seen, the main vet treats animals like objects, and I wouldn’t trust them with a slug. He looked at her cat like he was disgusted with her. She was a special needs cat. My friend brought her in, they said the cat was fine and ignored everything she was saying was going on, and a week later the cat was dead. They only care about the money they can get from you, not the animals you bring in.

I called Dr Gilbert at midnight, on a Saturday night when our dogs came home full of Porcupine quills and left a message. I was so impressed that Dr Gilbert called me back within an hr! Definitely a #1 veterinarian in my book!!! Then 3 days later took Remi, the puppy of the duo to be neutured!

While stranded in Baldwin due to car trouble I needed my pets meds. I am from South Carolina. This is the only vet around willing and able to help. They really care about animals and their well-being. If I lived in the area I would definitely use this office.

Very upset and disappointed with the care that our animal community should be getting to say the least! Our dog was diagnosed with GHS. 1st diagnosis was $3500 at the Plainfield pet hospital. 2nd diagnosis was almost $500 at pleasant view. Now onto our dogs 3rd episode of this illness.. We called pleasant view for med refills...Was told we would get a call back from them before the end of their closing day with authorization from the doctor.!!! Fair enough...THAT DID NOT HAPPEN!!! We gave them a 24 hour period and still no call back. We called at 8am the next morning and still no refills authorized by the doctor....!!! Time is of the utmost essence with this condition. Now it's 9am. Still no call back! If this condition is not treated promptly your pet declines at a EXTREMELY RAPID PACE!!! They stop eating and drinking and you end up back to the ER at extremely costly care. Its a small window! THEY ARE WELL AWARE OF THIS!!! Now a total of 4 phone calls and was greeted with ridiculous excuses of why nobody had not gotten back with us etc etc! We were also told the next morning after waiting and heartbreakingly watching our dog decline that nobody knew when exactly the doctor was going to authorize the refills etc! Such a horrible runaround! ALMOST UNBELIEVABLE! My husband and I felt extremely upset and quite honestly furious! We had HAD IT!!! We called the pet hospital on 19 mile and they got us in immediately, $450 within an hour and 1/2!!! Thank God! We explained our situation and we were promised that medication would be on stand by for our doggie when and if his condition was to flare up again and get his refills ASAP with a phone call like pleasantview SHOULD HAVE DONE! We are currently still not out of the woods because of the clear timely neglect of pleasant view for whatever their reasoning is! "$$$$" UNEXCUSABLE!!!!!!!!!!: Our dog currently still has a runny bloody stool and now is not eating or drinking! Had we known that pleasant view was not going to get back with us like they were supposed in a reasonable timely manner! We would have made the decision wayyy wayyy sooner to take him into 19 mile! I don't even want 1 star at this point because this was sooo avoidable OVER MEDICATION REFILLS for a condition they already diagnosed within the last 6 months!!!! Lastly we would have gladly paid $WHATEVER COST$ to have his meds in him as soon as he showed signs of his flare up! I could go on and on how horrible this nightmare was but I'm sure at this point you get this picture! Good luck and God bless you fellow animal lovers! I hope you have a much much better experience!
