The office staff refused to give a pricing on monthly librela injections even though my pet has been seen there in the past. This call reiterated why I changed vets in the first place. They just want your $$$, and have no consideration for those in cost conscious positions. I've heard conversations of them discussing the need to meet their daily $ quota on a Saturday. Id suggest not having pow wows in the back while clients are waiting in exam rooms, and can hear you. Your pet's care is secondary to profit here. Spring Oaks animal clinic in Deland was very price transparent, friendly, and happy to welcome us.

My dog Leo was the happiest dog I've ever seen in my life. He was a year in half old. A month ago, we noticed a big change in his behavior, then he stopped eating. We took him to this vet who took x-rays and assure us that he had a blockage. Referred us to this specific clinic for surgery as the 'only clinic they refer'. But that will be another review I am planning to write. Sure, they did some blood work and evaluate him but to me they make it look more like a blockage to make the money. A month later, Leo got worst, and we decided to take him to Gainsville College Vet Hospital and turned out to be a bacteria called Pythiosis from swimming and drinking water from our pond. He loved that pond more than anything and this vet knew about his environment, so my frustration is why they never mentioned or even considered that he had an intestinal infection or bacteria. Unfortunately, it was too late as the bacteria perforated his intestines and we had to put him down January 1st. He left too soon... My advice, if this vet takes Xray make sure is a real blockage and have a clinic in mind in case your pet needs surgery as you have the choice where to take your pets.

I’ve now met with both Dr Forrest and Gray and I have to say everyone has been absolutely fantastic. Every tech I’ve met with has gone above and beyond for my dog. They are always very transparent and can usually get us in same day for a drop off if needed. Very well spoken, educated doctors and staff. Even the ladies at reception are so compassionate and pleasant. I can’t recommend them enough. My dog is reactive and can be nervous and they always make sure to take their time with her and ensure she is comfortable. They’re the best and I’m so glad I started taking her there!

Dr. Forrest is the best veterinarian we've ever had. Her evidence based practice is up to date and straight textbook. My husband and I are both doctorate-level nurse anesthesiologists and she always communicates perfectly with us on all physiological, pathological, and pharmacological levels. She provides exemplary primary care for our 5+ dogs. Additionally, when one of our dogs was critically injured in an accident, she allowed us to be present during our poor dog's codes and final moments, where we witnessed firsthand her incredible compassion and composure under the worst pressure any pet owner or veterinarian could experience. Her benevolent decision to involve us in our dog's final moments brought us such immense closure and peace of mind. Her support staff also performed amazingly during these trying times and also tried everything to save our dog. We'll only ever take our dogs to Dr. Forrest and to her staff.

As a dog rescue we have used many different vets over the years but Dr. Forrest is by far the most knowledgeable, trustworthy, and compassionate throughout Central FL.
