Disappointed to say in the least. I made an appointment for the 1st time on a Wednesday, the appt was the following Monday evening. They took my credit card deposit over the phone which I have never done at any other Vet. When I arrived on time, in the evening they told me NOT to come in the office because they were running behind on their appointments & I needed to wait until they called me back. I waited 42 minutes over my appt time. Then when I check in they spent all of 5-7 minutes with my animal & asked a couple questions about them. Took the sample for the test & said if I don't hear anything for them then my cat was fine. I spent quite a bit of money for this very unpleasant experience. I won't be back nor recommend them to anyone! I highly recommend they improve their communication to improve their business.

You can contact them at (614) 837-6771 or their mobile number +1 614-837-6771. As a Pet Hospital, they aim to provide veterinary care for your animal companions. However, it's important to consider recent customer feedback to gain a comprehensive understanding of the potential experience you might encounter.
Based on the limited information available, we can infer that Pickerington Animal Hospital offers veterinary services, as is typical of a Pet Hospital. These services would generally include health check-ups, diagnostic tests, and potentially the sale of pet-related goods such as medications. However, the provided customer reviews highlight significant concerns regarding the operational aspects of the clinic, which potential local users should be aware of.
Our Environment:
The reviews do not offer insights into the physical environment of Pickerington Animal Hospital. One review mentions being asked to wait outside due to appointment delays, suggesting that the waiting area might become crowded or that the staff manages waiting clients remotely when the clinic is busy. Without further information, it's challenging to describe the ambiance or facilities.
Our Services and Features (as perceived by customer feedback):
While the core offering is veterinary care, the customer experiences point to potential areas of concern:
- Appointment Management: One customer reported a significant delay beyond their scheduled appointment time and an unusual request to wait outside the office until called. This suggests potential issues with appointment scheduling and adherence.
- Efficiency of Consultation: The same customer noted a very brief consultation period (5-7 minutes) despite having paid for the service, which they perceived as unsatisfactory given the cost.
- Communication Issues: Another reviewer highlighted difficulties in contacting the office by phone and a lack of clear communication regarding policies, specifically concerning the sale of flea medication. This resulted in an unnecessary trip to the clinic.
- Policy Enforcement: The instance regarding the flea medication indicates a strict adherence to policy (requiring the pet to be seen before purchasing medication), which, while potentially standard, was not communicated effectively to the customer beforehand.
- Financial Practices: One customer mentioned being asked for a credit card deposit for a first-time appointment over the phone, a practice they found unusual compared to other veterinary clinics they had used.
Based on the category of Pet Hospital, it is likely that Pickerington Animal Hospital offers standard veterinary services such as examinations, vaccinations, diagnostic testing, and potentially dispensing medications. However, the provided reviews focus on the administrative and communicative aspects of the practice rather than the clinical services themselves.
Promotional Information:
Given the negative nature of the provided customer feedback, it is challenging to identify positive promotional aspects based solely on this information. The reviews suggest areas that may need improvement in customer service and communication. Potential local users might want to consider these experiences when evaluating Pickerington Animal Hospital for their pet care needs.
It is important for any Pet Hospital to provide not only quality medical care but also a positive and respectful experience for pet owners. The feedback received by Pickerington Animal Hospital, as reflected in these reviews, indicates areas where improvements in communication, appointment management, and customer service could enhance the overall client experience. Individuals considering this Pet Hospital may want to weigh these reported experiences alongside the convenience of the location or any other factors.
For local users seeking a Pet Hospital, it may be beneficial to consider these recent customer experiences when making a decision. While we don't have a comprehensive overview of all services provided by Pickerington Animal Hospital, the feedback highlights potential challenges in their administrative processes and communication.

Nov 27, 2024 · J CThe worst office staff! They do not answer phones with any regularity and are not attentive or helpful when they do. I called to check on flea med availability and was told it would be waiting for me. When I arrived I was told they needed to see my pet before they could sell it to me. I had proof she was up to date on vaccines, but they still refused to sell it to me. I understand policy, but why was I not told this when I called before I drove to the office, which was my purpose in calling. I will not return.
Apr 22, 2024 · Heather JoyDr.Pentello was good with our pet, but the receptionist was rude and unhelpful. It's been such a hassle dealing with them. Our pet is still sick, but we will be continuing care elsewhere. The lack of compassion we've experienced here is inexcusable.
Nov 06, 2023 · Jasberry3If I could give zero stars I would. So I never make posts like this but I truly feel like people need to know. Today I took my boyfriends moms cat to the vet. Pickerington Animal Hospital, and I was appalled by the experience. I told the vet how Millie hadn’t been herself since last Sunday. Her eyes have been goopy and watery, also hasn’t been acting herself. I told them usually she’s really good about getting in the cat carrier, but was hesitant and gave me some trouble this morning, and that her appetite has even been different. The veterinarian picked the carrier up and completely turned it to where it was straight up and down, and began to rigorously shaking the carrier to get Millie out, her claw was stuck on the holes in the side of the carrier and her hole front leg bent behind her body and her full weight of her body was straining on that leg. To say she was petrified is an understatement. I was so shocked I didn’t know what to do. He gave her the drops for her eyes, I paid and quickly left. If you care about your animals and want a vet that does too. I highly recommend bringing them to another vet. Millie is still not really herself since the visit and it truly breaks my heart.
Sep 22, 2023 · Michaela BramlishI have been using this vet for years for my dogs and cats, they are always friendly and helpful. The wait time lately has been just about unbearable to deal with, over-scheduling being the main issue that I’ve seen. You can never call in, the line is busy at just about all times and immediately ends the call attempt. No way to leave a voicemail. Would just like for it to be easier to at least contact them especially since it’s not open for people to go inside.
