PetVet365 is a unique veterinary practice that believes in “no fear” for their patients. We went there just as our beloved 17-year-old cat Dolly was nearing the end of her life. Dr. Martha Faus and Vet Tech Sparrow were so kind and compassionate and helped us get through the difficult process of saying goodbye. Now Dr. Faus is treating our other elderly cat Sam. She is experienced and knowledgable, and takes her time to explain everything we need to know. We never feel rushed and Sam actually feels relaxed in the exam room which is more like a mini living room. No cold metal exam tables. Just small couches and chairs with a carpeted floor. The vets and techs actually get on the floor with the animals to examine them. And the entire staff is professional and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Martha Faus and the PetVet365 practice to anyone looking for quality care for their pets.

Welcome to PetVet365 Pet Hospital Pittsburgh/Fox Chapel
PetVet365 Pet Hospital Pittsburgh/Fox Chapel, located at 1100 Freeport Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15238, USA, is a distinctive veterinary practice that has quickly garnered a reputation for its innovative and highly compassionate approach to animal care. As a "Pet Hospital," it provides a comprehensive range of veterinary services, but what truly sets it apart is its foundational belief in "no fear" for its patients. This philosophy permeates every aspect of the clinic's environment, services, and interactions, making it an exceptional choice for pet owners, especially those with anxious or sensitive animals. The hospital can be easily reached by phone at (412) 336-8222, providing convenient access for booking appointments and seeking advice.
The core ethos of PetVet365 is centered around creating a stress-free and positive experience for pets. This commitment is immediately apparent in the unique design and atmosphere of their facility. Unlike traditional veterinary clinics with cold, sterile environments and metal exam tables, PetVet365 has revolutionized the exam room experience. Their "exam rooms" are described as "mini living rooms," featuring comfortable elements like small couches and chairs, carpeted floors, calming ambient lighting, and even a TV with soothing noises. This thoughtful design aims to mimic a home environment, significantly reducing anxiety in pets. This departure from conventional clinic setups demonstrates a deep understanding of animal behavior and a proactive approach to minimizing fear and stress during veterinary visits.
The services offered at PetVet365 are comprehensive, covering the essential needs of companion animals, primarily dogs and cats, while upholding their fear-free principles. These services typically include:
- Routine Wellness Exams: Comprehensive physical examinations are performed in a calm and reassuring manner, often with veterinarians and vet techs getting on the floor with the animals to establish trust and comfort.
- Vaccinations: Essential vaccinations are administered gently, often while the pet is distracted with treats or engaging with a lick mat, ensuring a less traumatic experience.
- Diagnostic Procedures: This includes routine blood draws and other necessary sample collections, performed with patience and techniques designed to minimize discomfort and anxiety. The focus on making these procedures as stress-free as possible is a major highlight for pet owners.
- Care for Anxious Pets: PetVet365 specializes in handling pets with high anxiety. Their methods, including immediate positive reinforcement with treats, gentle handling, and creating a calming environment, are specifically tailored to help nervous animals feel more at ease.
- Elderly Pet Care: The clinic provides sensitive and knowledgeable care for senior pets, understanding their unique needs as they age. This includes a compassionate approach to end-of-life care, as exemplified by their support during the difficult process of saying goodbye to beloved companions.
- Behavioral Counseling: As highlighted by a reviewer, veterinarians like Dr. Ortiz provide helpful feedback and suggestions for concerns like pet anxiety, including positive behavior modification techniques. This proactive approach to behavioral health is invaluable for pet owners.
- Open Communication: The veterinarians, such as Dr. Martha Faus, are noted for taking their time to explain everything thoroughly, ensuring pet owners are well-informed and never feel rushed during consultations.
The features that distinguish PetVet365 Pet Hospital are heavily centered on its unique "no fear" methodology and the exceptional dedication of its staff. The staff, including veterinarians like Dr. Martha Faus and Dr. Ortiz, and vet techs like Sparrow and Alyssa, are consistently praised for being "kind and compassionate," "professional and helpful," and true "animal lovers." Their ability to win over even highly anxious pets, such as a nervous pup who wagged her tail at Dr. Ortiz, speaks volumes about their gentle and effective handling techniques. The use of treats, lick mats with cheese, and comforting language during procedures like vaccinations and blood draws are standard practices that differentiate this clinic. The physical environment, with its living room-like exam rooms and absence of cold metal tables, is a game-changer for pet comfort.
For promotional information, PetVet365 leverages the power of real customer testimonials, which are incredibly compelling. The detailed accounts of how anxious pets reacted positively to the clinic, and how compassionate the staff was during challenging times, serve as powerful endorsements. While specific broad promotional campaigns are not detailed, the word-of-mouth recommendations driven by such positive experiences are likely a significant driver of new client acquisition. Modern veterinary practices often utilize social media to showcase their unique approach and share pet care tips, and it's highly probable that PetVet365 engages in similar digital outreach to highlight its fear-free philosophy and compassionate team.
Many pet hospitals today also offer various payment and convenience options. While not explicitly stated in the provided information, it's common for such advanced and client-focused facilities to accept a range of payment methods, including pet insurance. They might also partner with third-party financing options like CareCredit to help manage veterinary expenses. Online portals for appointment scheduling, medical record access, and prescription refills are also common features in modern veterinary practices aimed at enhancing client convenience.
The dedication to making every visit a positive experience, from the moment a pet is weighed at the front door to the gentle handling during examinations and procedures, truly sets PetVet365 apart. The emphasis on individualized attention, understanding a pet's unique temperament, and adapting care accordingly, fosters a strong bond of trust between the clinic, the pets, and their owners. For anyone in the Pittsburgh/Fox Chapel area seeking quality veterinary care, especially for pets with anxiety or those who benefit from a calm and nurturing environment, PetVet365 Pet Hospital comes highly recommended for its commitment to both medical excellence and unparalleled compassion.

Mar 22, 2025 · Pam YorkMy anxious pup loved this vet! These people are truly animal lovers, and you can tell that they especially love the scaredy-cats (or dog, in my case). When we arrived, my dog was weighed at the front door, and then we were guided into our own "exam" room, which had a couch, carpet, TV with calming noises, some ambient lighting, and some treats. My dog was nervous, as usual, but the vet tech - Alyssa? - was warm and won my dog over quickly with lots of treats and compliments on her cute underbite. All needle work (vaccines and a blood draw) was done in the room with me, while my dog was offered some cheese on a lick mat, which she LOVED. When Dr. Ortiz came in, my dog wagged her tail at him - a stranger! She didnt see him as a scary vet at all, and she allowed him to do a gentle physical exam. Dr. Ortiz gave me helpful feedback for my concerns about my dog's anxiety, and he spent time with me, giving me suggestions on positive behavior modification. He was really wonderful overall! I would highly recommend this vet to anyone, especially if they have a pet with high anxiety.

The staff is incredible, the facility is clean, and the exam rooms feel like you’re in your living room, which make it so peaceful for you and your pet. May 24, 2025 · StephanieWe had an excellent experience with PetVet365 Fox Chapel! Our dog, Joan, needed surgery, and the vet was very thorough in explaining all the risks and helping us make the right decision. The staff was incredibly friendly, and communication was outstanding—we received calls and texts before, after, and even the next day to check in. Post-op instructions were clear, and the facility was spotless. We’re happy to report that the surgery went smoothly, and Joan is recovering very well. We’re so grateful for the care and attention she received. Highly recommend!
