PetVet365 on Richmond Road has been nothing short of amazing with my pups—Butters, Ozzy, and Maggie. The care, compassion, and attention they show every time we visit is unmatched. They treat my dogs like family, always taking the time to explain things clearly and make sure everyone (pets and humans) are comfortable and at ease. Butters especially has been through a lot, and the team there has been incredibly supportive and thoughtful in helping him stay healthy and happy. Ozzy and Maggie can be a handful, but the staff handles them like absolute pros—with patience, smiles, and even a few treats. It’s such a relief to have a vet you can truly trust. I’m so grateful for the whole team at PetVet365. Highly recommend!

PetVet365 is more than just a clinic; it's a place where pets are treated as cherished family members, ensuring their visits are as stress-free and positive as possible. The glowing testimonials from pet parents of dogs like Butters, Ozzy, and Maggie, as well as cats like "sick baby," consistently praise the unmatched care, compassion, and attention provided by the entire team.
What truly sets PetVet365 apart is its innovative approach to the clinic environment. Unlike traditional veterinary settings that can often be intimidating for pets, PetVet365 has designed a space that feels more like home. This includes living room-inspired exam rooms with couches, toys, and music, aiming to make both pets and their humans feel comfortable and at ease. For feline friends, there are "Purrrfect Cat Rooms" specially designed by animal behaviorists to put cats at ease, acknowledging their unique sensitivities.
The entire staff at PetVet365 is trained and certified in Fear Free practices. This means they actively work to minimize stress, anxiety, and fear during every visit. Strategies include offering a "full menu of treats" to bribe their way into every pet's heart, along with belly rubs and snuggles. They focus on creating a calm and happy experience behind the scenes, ensuring that pets are relaxed even before they meet the veterinarian. This dedication to a low-stress environment is frequently highlighted by clients who appreciate how well their "dog reactive dog" or generally nervous pets are handled with patience and smiles.
PetVet365 offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services, all delivered with their signature fear-free philosophy. This ensures that even advanced medical procedures are conducted with the pet's emotional well-being in mind. Their services cater to dogs, cats, and even exotic pets, covering a wide spectrum of needs:
General & Preventative Care: This includes routine wellness exams, vaccinations (Canine 5-in-1, Lepto, Bordetella, Rabies; Feline PureVax® 3-in-1, Leukemia, Rabies), deworming, and intestinal parasite screenings to maintain long-term health.
Advanced & Urgent Care: The clinic is equipped to handle urgent needs, as demonstrated by their ability to accommodate new, sick patients on short notice and provide immediate attention. They offer advanced diagnostics like blood work and X-rays.
Chronic Disease Management: As seen with Butters, the team provides incredible support and thoughtful care for pets dealing with ongoing health challenges, helping them stay healthy and happy.
Surgical Services: A full range of surgical procedures are offered, performed with the highest standards of care and comfort.
Dental Care: From routine cleanings to more advanced dental procedures, they ensure optimal oral health for pets.
Behavioral Care: Recognizing the link between behavior and overall well-being, they offer support for behavioral issues.
Laser Therapy & Immunotherapy: These advanced treatments are available, showcasing their commitment to modern veterinary medicine.
Physical Therapy: Further supporting recovery and mobility for pets.
Telehealth: Providing convenient remote consultations for certain conditions or follow-ups.
Same-Day Appointments: Their commitment to accommodating pets, even last minute, ensures timely care.
The transparency regarding care options and costs is also a significant aspect of their service, allowing pet owners to make informed decisions without financial surprises.
The core features of PetVet365 revolve around its exceptional team and their commitment to pet-centric care. The veterinarians, including Dr. Patricia Davis and Dr. Andrea Johnson, are described as believing in "loving each pet as their own." They take the time to listen and develop customized care plans. The staff, including specific mentions like Brittany, are lauded for their patience, professionalism, and genuine love for animals, handling even "handful" pets like Ozzy and Maggie with smiles and treats.
The Fear Free certification for all staff members is a critical feature, ensuring a stress-reduced experience for pets. This approach minimizes the trauma often associated with vet visits, making it easier for pets to receive the care they need. The focus on transparent communication, where explanations are clear and easy to understand, empowers pet parents to feel confident in their pets' care.
Furthermore, PetVet365 offers open 7 days a week and provides same-day appointments, highlighting their accessibility and responsiveness to pet owners' needs. This flexibility is invaluable for busy families and for urgent situations.
While specific, current promotional offers may vary, PetVet365 actively provides discounts and special programs. For instance, they offer a 20% off coupon for first-time pets on all office/emergency visits, annual exams, and vaccines. They also have promotions for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, such as instant rebates when purchasing products like NexGard and Heartgard Plus. Additionally, they provide a $10 off Microchip Pet ID with lifetime registration, emphasizing preventative care and safety.
Beyond these offers, the most compelling "promotional" aspect of PetVet365 is the overwhelming positive feedback from their clients. The strong recommendations, with phrases like "Highly recommend!" and "We will definitely be back/recommend!", speak volumes about the quality of care and the bond they form with pets and their families. Their commitment to treating pets like family, coupled with transparent cost discussions and the unique fear-free environment, serves as a powerful testament to their value as a veterinary partner in Lexington. Apr 10, 2025 · Chris QuevedoWe had a great experience here — served our pet as best they could last minute as a new patient, the amazing staff loved on our sick baby (shoutout Brittany), and treated with complete transparency regarding options for care and costs. We will definitely be back/recommend!
Apr 28, 2025 · Hanah ShanebrookWent to PetVet365 to get a 2nd option but feel in love with this place. My dog usually gets very nervous at the very. Not here, he ran around like he was at a hotel. They are very loving and really took care of all of us.
Mar 28, 2025 · Clyde JeffriesI found Dr Wichmann and staff to be above professional reproach. My 3 yr small dog has been under treatment for 2 yrs with severe GI issued reoccurring flareups every 2-3monthsfor .....severe protein food allergies, and currently on a hydrolized vet Rx diet; hemorrhagic gastroenteritis; colitis; Giardia and IBD, all with bloody diarrhea. All of this without any type of diagnostic tests, just exam medication mainly Prisolec and Flagyl. His last episode was 11 days ago, and I decided to get the opinion of a specialist. The nearest Internal Vet that treated Colitis, IBD, and other GI issues I could find was a Vet Animal Clinic in Greensburg, Ky, about 1 hrs from Lexington, Ky. So I called the highest rated Small Vet Offices here in Lexington, and was given several places to contact to see if they had an internist would was knowledgeable in GI canine problems...they all told me they did not. Before booking an appt in Greensburg, I called PetVet365, because of the mention of diagnostics in house. I called and the receptionist took down my rewiedt...looking for a GI specialist for canine? IBD, and their clinic could not be of help could a recommendation be made in or near Lexington, for I did not want just an office exam and meds. She stated she would check with Dr Wichmann and get back with me. She later informed me that Dr Wichmann had contacts with specialists, when needed, and that he had personnel come in to preform diagnostics such as ultrasounds. They had a late day appt available and I took it. My 11lb little dog has been absolutely terrified of Vet offices, but through the visit he settled down so much that I was shocked. Everyone I came in contact with was sooo kind and took such great care of my dog. I left feeling the consultation so relieved and confident, for I finally have hope of pinning down the right diagnosis and stopping this nightmare of his relapses and getting the absolute best updated treatment avaliable. I would definitely recommend Dr. Wichmann!!! He also gave me calming meds to give to my dog for tomorrow we do more diagnostics, x-rays and ultrasound. Also, the cost was very reasonable, which was another pleasant surprise, and they even had a payment plan! He has notified me of the blood test results already, i didnt have to wait for it!! I sincerely snd honestly hope this helps someone else, and I say this as a retired healthcare professional for greater than 40 yrs., and very critical of the care I receive.
Mar 25, 2025 · Judith HartJust moved to town and needed a vet for my dog. This place was so amazing. The nicest people. You go into this cozy individual waiting room with a couch and rug for your pup to sniff and be comfy on. A warm environment unlike a traditional vet office. My dog was at ease from the start. The tech spoke to me in the friendliest manner as well as the vet. They were on the floor petting my dog! So sweet. They also brought him a whipped cream treat so he didn't notice his shots. 10/10!
