Very disorganized, somehow was skipped in the registration line and after waiting 3 hours I checked with the staff and they had me highlighted as having been seen (number 34 on the list and they were servicing number 42 at that point). The vet was willing to do vaccinations and not offer any information on any other pet related things (asked about food, etc and she told me that was a question for my primary vet). It was just general wellness, which the website states is covered.

PetVet Vaccination Clinic Introduce

Welcome to the introduction of PetVet Vaccination Clinic, a Pet Hospital located at 2327 Western Ave, Guilderland, NY 12084, USA. As the name suggests, PetVet Vaccination Clinic appears to focus primarily on providing vaccinations and general wellness services for pets. You can reach them at their phone number: (800) 427-7973 or mobile phone: +1 800-427-7973.

Based on the available feedback from pet owners, PetVet Vaccination Clinic has received mixed reviews, particularly concerning its organization and the scope of services offered during a visit. One customer reported a significant issue with disorganization, recounting a three-hour wait despite being registered earlier. They were mistakenly marked as seen and highlighted the discrepancy between their position on the list and the number currently being served. This reviewer also noted that the veterinarian focused solely on vaccinations and was unwilling to offer advice on other pet-related matters, such as food, suggesting these questions should be directed to a primary veterinarian. Despite this, they acknowledged that general wellness, as stated on the website, was covered.

Another customer echoed the concern about the wait time, describing it as poorly organized and lasting three hours. However, they found that once they were able to see the vet, the process was very quick and straightforward. This reviewer indicated a willingness to use the service again but advised going as early as possible or considering a different location due to overcrowding at the visited site.

Considering these reviews, PetVet Vaccination Clinic seems to operate on a model that prioritizes efficiency once a pet sees the veterinarian, particularly for vaccinations and general wellness. However, the organizational aspects, especially regarding wait times and registration, appear to be areas of concern for some customers.

To provide local users with a detailed understanding of what PetVet Vaccination Clinic offers, we can infer aspects of their environment, services, and features based on the customer testimonials and the likely focus of a vaccination clinic.

Environment: Based on the comments about overcrowding, it's possible that the physical space at the Guilderland location can become busy. One reviewer mentioned a "registration line," suggesting a setup where clients check in upon arrival. While cleanliness or the overall ambiance isn't described, a clinic focused on high-volume vaccinations might prioritize functionality and throughput.

Services: The primary services offered by PetVet Vaccination Clinic, as indicated by its name and the reviews, likely include:

  • Vaccinations: A core service, efficiently provided once the pet sees the vet.
  • General wellness: As mentioned on their website and acknowledged by a reviewer, this is part of their service offering. However, the extent of "general wellness" provided during a vaccination visit might be limited, as one reviewer was directed to their primary vet for food-related advice.

It appears that the clinic may not be intended for comprehensive veterinary care or addressing a wide range of pet health concerns beyond vaccinations and basic wellness checks.

Features: Key features of PetVet Vaccination Clinic, as suggested by the reviews, include:

  • Focus on vaccinations: Streamlined process once you see the vet.
  • General wellness services: Included in their offerings, though the scope during a vaccination appointment might be narrow.
  • Potentially lower costs compared to full-service veterinary hospitals (though not explicitly stated in the reviews, vaccination clinics sometimes operate on this model).
  • Multiple locations (as suggested by a reviewer's comment about visiting a different location).

A potential drawback, as highlighted, is the possibility of long and disorganized wait times, at least at the Guilderland location.

Promotional Information: Based on the aspects that received positive feedback, PetVet Vaccination Clinic could highlight:

  • Their quick and straightforward vaccination process once you see the vet.
  • Their coverage of general wellness services.
  • The potential convenience and accessibility of a clinic focused on routine care like vaccinations.

However, they would also need to address the concerns raised about organization and wait times, perhaps by implementing better scheduling or staffing strategies, and communicating clearly about the scope of services provided during a vaccination visit.

For local users in Guilderland, NY, PetVet Vaccination Clinic offers a service primarily focused on vaccinations and general wellness for pets. While some customers have experienced significant wait times and a limited scope of advice beyond the immediate service, others found the process efficient once they saw the veterinarian. If you are primarily seeking vaccinations and basic wellness checks and are prepared for a potentially long wait, especially during busy times, PetVet Vaccination Clinic could be an option. Visiting earlier in the day or exploring other locations might mitigate the wait time issues.

In summary, PetVet Vaccination Clinic in Guilderland, NY, is a Pet Hospital specializing in vaccinations and general wellness. While the actual service provided by the vet is reported as quick and straightforward, there are concerns about the organization and long wait times. Local pet owners interested in these core services might find it suitable but should be aware of the potential for delays and the clinic's focus primarily on vaccinations and basic wellness.

onnce we were able to see the vet it was very quick and straight forward, waiting to see the vet was poorly organized and was a 3 hour wait. If I use the service again I will go in as early as possible or visit a different location as the location I went to was way too over crowded.

It wasn’t bad at all. Only on crucial thing. I went their to get my cats claws trimmed and found out the the vet didn’t do them.

After a 2 1/2 hour wait for vaccinations , we were rewarded by a vet calling our 16 week old puppy a “train wreck” and “good luck.” Add to that the vet said that perhaps his behavior issues were due to his grey color(?) and she gave us a book on puppy training. He has no issues with his head being touched but apparently he should have no reaction to being restrained and held while injected in the nose and body and owners not allowed in the room. While there we were told he had fleas and the vet kindly was ready to prescribe a medication that was not age appropriate but we settled on another that she suggested a 3 month supply of that our Newfie would exceed the weight suggestion after the first dose. They do have very friendly vet techs who thankfully identifies the vets prescribing errors. I’ve attached a picture of our “train wreck” while waiting hours to be seen. Terrible vet and will not return after having a long history of bringing my pets there. Worst experience ever. Dr Solomon should be fired and never allowed to practice anywhere again.

Dr. Solomon & all three of the techs assisting her were beyond fantastic! I called with a question prior to our arrival and the assistant on the phone was very informative. When we arrived, Dr. Solomon immediately put our pup at ease. She did a thorough physical and invited us into the room to discuss all of our questions after the exam. She offered advice, suggestions, and reassurance. She did not make us feel rushed and was patient with our questions. She also took extra time out of her day to print additional resources for us to review at home. She was patient, kind, helpful, reassuring, and understanding. She even offered some suggestions about fun activities for our dog! Before we left, I told her that I was so happy, I wanted to hug her! We also want to give a shout out to all three assistants who were working on St. Patrick’s Day! They were friendly, knowledgeable about how to deal with our dog, and fun! I can’t recommend Dr. Solomon, all three vet assistants, and this location enough!
