Yesterday, I used Pet Vet for the 4th and last time. The experience was terrible. In the past, it was first come, first served where all services were provided efficiently and the line moved along quickly. This time it was first pre-registered, first served no matter when you arrived. The Pet Vet team arrived 1 1/2 hours late and once there it was chaotic, unorganized. with long wait times. The Vet and assistant had long pauses between clients - a total misuse of their time. The vet came from a clinic in another state and the other 3 came from a clinic hours away. So no wonder they were late - the pre-registration virtual line process was very time consuming. It made them late for us and even later for the location after us. The scheduling of your team's locations is abysmal. Three team members were great but the 4th yelled at us alot and was just miserable. The time from my arrival to being served was 3 hours. The most I ever spent in the past was 1 hour. Giving 1 star only because I can't give a negative rating.

Welcome to PetVet Vaccination Clinic
Welcome to PetVet Vaccination Clinic, a Pet Hospital located at 4854 NY-30, Amsterdam, NY 12010, USA. Operating under the category of Pet Hospital, PetVet Vaccination Clinic primarily focuses on providing essential vaccination services for pets in the local Amsterdam, NY area. Understanding the importance of preventative care in maintaining the health and well-being of your beloved animals, the clinic aims to offer accessible and convenient vaccination options.
As a specialized Vaccination Clinic operating within the broader scope of a Pet Hospital, PetVet Vaccination Clinic offers a core service centered around administering necessary vaccinations to pets. This includes crucial immunizations such as rabies shots, as highlighted in one of the provided customer reviews. Vaccinations play a vital role in protecting pets from various infectious diseases, contributing significantly to their overall health and longevity. While the primary focus appears to be on vaccinations, it's important for local users to understand the scope of services offered by contacting the clinic directly at (800) 427-7973 or +1 800-427-7973 to inquire about any additional services they might provide.
Based on the limited information available from customer reviews, the environment and operational procedures at PetVet Vaccination Clinic seem to have undergone some changes. One recent review describes a shift from a "first come, first served" model to a "first pre-registered, first served" system. This change reportedly led to significant delays and disorganization during a recent visit. The customer noted that the Pet Vet team arrived 1 1/2 hours late, contributing to a chaotic and inefficient experience with long wait times. This feedback suggests that recent operational adjustments may have impacted the clinic's efficiency and customer experience.
In contrast, a previous positive review mentioned a "long line but excellent service," specifically highlighting a "rabies shot" that was "delivered quickly and without incident." This suggests that, under different circumstances or perhaps with different staff, the clinic has been able to provide satisfactory and efficient service. However, the stark contrast between these two recent experiences indicates a potential inconsistency in service delivery. The negative review also raises concerns about the team's punctuality, organization, and even the professionalism of some staff members, with a mention of one individual being "miserable" and "yelling at us alot."
Features of PetVet Vaccination Clinic, as gleaned from the limited reviews, include its focus on vaccination services, including rabies shots. The previous "first come, first served" model, while now seemingly altered, was once perceived as efficient. However, the recent implementation of a pre-registration system appears to have introduced challenges. The fact that the veterinary team members reportedly travel from different locations, sometimes hours away and even from out of state, might contribute to scheduling complexities and potential delays, as suggested by the negative review.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available in the provided text. Local users interested in learning about any special offers, vaccination packages, or other promotions are advised to contact PetVet Vaccination Clinic directly using the provided phone numbers. Given the recent negative feedback regarding service delays and disorganization, it would be prudent for potential customers to inquire about current operational procedures and expected wait times when contacting the clinic.
The significant discrepancy between the two provided customer reviews highlights the importance of considering both positive and negative feedback when evaluating a service. While one customer experienced efficient and excellent service for a rabies shot, another described a severely delayed, chaotic, and unpleasant experience. The negative review raises concerns about the clinic's current scheduling practices, punctuality, organization, and staff conduct. Local users might want to inquire about the steps the clinic is taking to address these issues and improve their service delivery.
For local pet owners in Amsterdam, NY, PetVet Vaccination Clinic offers a location for obtaining essential pet vaccinations. However, the recent negative feedback regarding significant delays and disorganization warrants careful consideration. While past experiences may have been positive, it is recommended that potential customers contact the clinic directly to understand the current service procedures, expected wait times, and any measures being taken to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. Understanding the current operational environment will help local users make informed decisions about their pet's vaccination needs.
In conclusion, PetVet Vaccination Clinic in Amsterdam, NY, functions as a Pet Hospital specializing in vaccination services. While it has received positive feedback in the past regarding efficient service, recent experiences indicate potential issues with scheduling, organization, punctuality, and staff conduct. Local users are encouraged to contact the clinic directly for the most up-to-date information on their services and operational procedures before visiting.

Jan 26, 2025 路 john beckerDr. Rebekah Kane and her team provided excellent care to our 14 year-old cat Marley during his diagnostic visit. After several disappointing visits with local full service vets in the Utica area, we decided to make the 45 mile drive to PetVet in New Amsterdam before taking Marley to Cornell 's Vet School's clinic. At PetVet, for $105, Marley received a full checkup, blood and stool analysis, and superb follow-up by Dr. Kane regarding his overall health, condition of the chronic kidney issue she detected, and detailed recommendations for changes to his diet. Of the last 4 vets Marley has seen, Dr. Kane was the only one who did not urge us to have his teeth removed, pointing out that the redness of his gums was not an infection, rather that his gums had grown to protect him from any disease entering through his of dental cavities. Marley will be having periodic health visit at PetVet New Amsterdam with Dr. Kane and her team. It would be great if PetVet would open a Wellness Center in Utica. Judging from reviews, we're not the only pet owners in the area who are unhappy with our local full service vet practices.
Sep 29, 2020 路 Stephen Ames BerryBrought 3 dogs in at once. The staff was great very informative and patient. Will def be going back Also want to mention that they were ALL pit bulls and we were never asked to leave. There were a lot of other dogs there as unfortunately they are only open 2 days. There was a couple of dogs that were really aggressive towards the other dogs that were there and were asked to wait outside or to go for a walk while they wait but they were asked very nicely and were seen as soon as it was their turn.
Aug 11, 2022 路 John FisherWe truly love bringing our two long-haired Chihuahuas to PetVet. 馃惥 馃惥 The staff and vets are always extremely knowledgeable, caring, friendly, and loving to our fur babies. It鈥檚 also a plus, that they are close to home and reasonably affordable! Unlike, bringing our dogs to the veterinarian鈥檚 office, which always seem to wallop us with an outrageous bill afterwards, and push extras. You get what you want and need for your pets at PetVet. I truly hope our Amsterdam NY PetVet remains open and doesn鈥檛 close.馃檹馃徎
