Pets At Rest Hospice

Our goldendoodle, Jenny, was almost 16 and 9 months old. She was the only dog we had ever owned, and she grew up with our kids. She had cancer but still went for a walk every day until the day she woke up and could not get up. Dr Dawnetta Woodruff was patient, gentle and so compassionate. Jenny passed peacefully, sleeping in my wife’s arms wrapped in her blanket, while they sat on a couch. Jenny would always shake at the vet or the groomer and we were worried that she would be fearful, but instead, she eased quietly and calmly from this world. We are so grateful for the kind, expert care that we all received in this difficult moment. Thank you so very much.

Pets at Rest made saying goodbye bearable. They were so thoughtful and kind. Their clinic location is lovely. Our whole family is grateful for Pets at Rest.

Dr Dawnetta, Thank you for taking care of me and my family in such a vulnerable moment when saying goodbye to our beloved Keizer. Thank you for being able to stay patient, and compassionate during our times of grief. Everything was explained to us from the start and it felt a lot more comforting coming to a home-like environment and being able to take the time we needed to say our goodbyes. We were also provided recources to help with grief afterwards towards adults and kiddos. As painful as it was, we know that keizer was comfortable, and at peace during his stay here. We miss him dearly, but glad to have chosen this place for him. If you want to feel cared for in a vulnerable moment with your pet I would strongly recommend chosing them for your beloved pet.

Words cannot describe the respect and gratitude I have for Dr. Dawnetta! She has helped us with 4 of our pets and she has been such a blessing everytime. My precious Truman was so very sick with cancer when i first met her and the intial hug reassured me that she was there for support and comfort. Dr. Dawnetta was able to turn one of the most difficult days of my life into a beautiful memory of my cherished furry friend.

For what these services are and what the end result is, Pets at Rest Hospice is as five star of a service as you will find. I called at 4:30 on a Saturday to schedule Dr. Dawnetta Woodruff services for Monday as they closed at 5 that day. After speaking with them and explaining the situation, pain, and stress my Sugar Bear was in, she stayed after hours last night to ease my buddies pain and help him find the comfort he hasn't felt in a long time. Again, for what this service is and does, I cannot recommend Pets At Rest Hospice enough for their loving services to ease my buddy's pain.
