I bought our recently acquired “boss” in because he wasn’t eating or playing or picking on our other feline “bosses” as he usually does. Dr. Ehlers did a checkup and other tests and thought he may be having enteritis and gave us a treatment plan that has helped. It’s taken three days for slow recovery but he just bit me so I know he’s feeling better. The vets and the whole staff at West Lafayette Pets and vets are friendly, knowledgeable and supportive every time we take our cats in. I recommend them highly!

Pets and Vets as Partners Introduce

For pet owners in West Lafayette, Indiana, Pets and Vets as Partners, situated at 1220 Montgomery St, serves as a local establishment providing veterinary care and potentially pharmacy services for animals. The name itself suggests a collaborative approach between veterinary care and the provision of necessary medications and related products. As a "Pet Hospital" that may also function as a pharmacy, this location aims to be a comprehensive resource for the health and well-being of local pets. Pet owners in the vicinity can contact them at (765) 463-7877 or via their mobile number, +1 765-463-7877, to inquire about their services.

Based on the available customer reviews, insights into the environment of Pets and Vets as Partners are somewhat mixed. One review describes the clinic as having a friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive staff, which suggests a positive and welcoming atmosphere. This customer felt comfortable bringing their cats in for care and appreciated the expertise provided. On the other hand, another review paints a starkly different picture, describing the service as the "worst experience ever." This reviewer felt the examination was rushed, lacked thoroughness, and that there was a lack of guidance for first-time pet owners. These contrasting experiences indicate that the environment and the quality of interaction might vary depending on individual experiences or perhaps specific staff members encountered.

The services offered at Pets and Vets as Partners appear to include general veterinary care, as indicated by the check-up and treatment plan mentioned in the positive review. Dr. Ehlers is identified as one of the veterinarians at the clinic. The services likely encompass routine health checks, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, and potentially surgical procedures, although the specifics are not detailed. The mention of a fecal test suggests that diagnostic testing is part of their services. Given the name "Pets and Vets as Partners," it is reasonable to infer that they also provide pharmacy services, meaning they can dispense medications and potentially other healthcare products for pets directly to their clients. This would be a significant convenience for pet owners, allowing them to obtain prescriptions and necessary treatments immediately following a veterinary consultation. However, the negative review highlights concerns about transparency in billing, specifically mentioning an expensive test added without consent. This suggests that while services like diagnostics and medication dispensing may be available, clarity and communication regarding these services are crucial aspects that may need improvement.

The features of Pets and Vets as Partners, based on the limited information, include having veterinarians like Dr. Ehlers on staff who can diagnose and treat animal health issues. The potential on-site pharmacy would be a significant feature, allowing for immediate access to prescribed medications. The positive review emphasizes the friendliness, knowledge, and supportiveness of the vets and the entire staff, suggesting that a customer-centric approach is intended, at least in some instances. The negative review, however, points out a lack of thoroughness in examinations, unexpected charges, and what the reviewer perceived as misleading practices regarding discounts. This indicates a potential inconsistency in the quality of service and customer care. The reviewer also mentioned a negative follow-up experience involving being put on hold, hung up on, and denied complaint contact information, which raises concerns about their customer service handling and complaint resolution processes. The reviewer's statement about not recommending the clinic to individuals from minority backgrounds is a serious concern that warrants consideration, although it is based on a single, albeit very negative, personal experience.

Currently, there is no explicitly stated promotional information for Pets and Vets as Partners in the provided reviews. The negative review mentions a "new client $25 discount" that was not automatically applied and required the customer to specifically request it using a particular phrase. This suggests that some form of promotional offer for new clients may exist, but the way it is administered appears to have caused frustration for at least one customer. It is possible that Pets and Vets as Partners may have other promotions or offers that are not mentioned in these reviews, such as seasonal discounts on certain services or products, loyalty programs, or special packages for routine care. To obtain accurate information about any current promotions, local users would need to contact the clinic directly at (765) 463-7877 or visit their location at 1220 Montgomery St, West Lafayette, IN 47906, USA. They may also have a website or social media presence where they advertise any special offers.

In conclusion, Pets and Vets as Partners in West Lafayette, Indiana, aims to be a comprehensive pet care provider, offering both veterinary services and a potential on-site pharmacy. While one customer review praises the friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive staff and the effective treatment provided by Dr. Ehlers, another review details a highly negative experience characterized by a rushed examination, unexpected charges, poor communication, and unprofessional customer service interactions. This stark contrast in feedback suggests that the quality of service and customer experience may be inconsistent. Potential clients should consider both perspectives when evaluating this pet hospital and pharmacy. To obtain the most accurate information about their services, staff, and any current promotions, contacting Pets and Vets as Partners directly is recommended. Given the serious concerns raised in the negative review, especially regarding billing practices and customer service, it would be prudent for prospective clients to inquire specifically about these aspects before engaging their services.

This was by far the worst service experience I've ever had. We brought our 3-month-old puppy in for a health check. The vet spent less than 5 minutes on a $77 exam—I swear she only touched our puppy's belly for more than two seconds. No advice, no guidance—just a rushed “Any questions?” at the end. As first-time pet owners, we expected some level of care or instruction. We got none. To make matters worse, the vet quietly added an expensive fecal test to the bill without our consent. Thankfully, I reviewed the charges line by line and had it removed. In total, we were charged over $170 for a 10-minute visit, with zero effort to explain or communicate anything unless directly questioned. When we followed up about the new client $25 discount that wasn’t applied, we were told it only works if we explicitly say "we want the 25OFF" at checkout. That’s not just inconvenient—it feels deliberately misleading. When I called to request the refund, they left me on hold for a long while, passed me off to a manager who hung up after saying, “Maybe you shouldn’t come back.” I asked her for the complaint email address she didn't give it to me. For a place charging premium prices, the arrogance is shocking. It’s all about extracting as much money as possible while offering the bare minimum. Self-serving snobs hiding behind a pet-friendly façade. Never again. BTW, I’m a minority, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone from a minority background take the risk.

I love this practice. They are very communicative and I was able to get in within 24 hours for an appointment. Additionally, they let me send them messages and listened to my concerns about my dog over the phone and were so patient and friendly. I feel very comfortable with them and recommend their services!

Very thorough and professional, they really care a lot about their patients! I love that they were up-front and happy to answer questions. My dog adores the staff, and my boyfriend's shy cat feels comfortable around them, too.

Our dog loved the staff. The Vet was right on the floor talking to her while giving her shots. They are very knowledgeable without being pushy to do anything you do not want for your fur baby. Calm and clean environment was great for all of us
