Petfolk Veterinary & Urgent Care - Southside

I brought my newer rescue in today for an illness exam. It was easy to schedule online and there was availability starting an hour from the time I booked. From the beginning of the appointment, the staff was friendly and welcoming and immediately addressed him by name and were familiar with my concerns as input on his appointment request form. It was obvious they had taken the time to check his notes prior to us arriving and didn’t make me repeat information already provided (not a big deal but definitely a nice touch!) The facility is clean and very modern— you can tell this place is new (in a good way!) Mary was dedicated to making sure my pup felt comfortable and worked hard to make his experience a good one. Dr. Caldwell was also great, and didn’t try to push any unnecessary treatments— we’re starting small and working our way up if needed. The team was very honest and open about pricing, which can also be found on the website, so I wasn’t shocked by an unexpected fees. His exam and medicine was less than expected, and we left with a plan to return if needed. I was hesitant to try this place out because it only had 2 reviews, but that’s only due to them having recently opened a few weeks ago. We will definitely be back (but hopefully not too soon!)

Petfolk was amazing! They are very transparent with the care of your little loved ones. They make sure you know exactly what you are getting, and allow you to watch any bloodwork or treatments that usually happen behind the scenes, and they seem well equipped to handle pets of all kinds of behaviors and sizes. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new vet! They also offer a comprehensive membership that is cheaper than some of the other veterinary memberships in the area, including discounted services and virtual visits as well. My little one was loved dearly here and I will definitely be back!

This was our first time here and this place exceeded my expectations. Making the appointment online was so easy. We were immediately greeted and taken to an exam room upon arrival. Everyone was so friendly. I have a large American Bully and they treated my big boy like the sweet little baby he is! We were taken care of by Erin and Dr Caldwell and they were exceptional!! So much so that I might be switching my pets vet services here. So glad I found Petfolk. Definitely recommend!

Great place, clean facility and super friendly staff. Erin and Dr. Caldwell took great care of us and our pup. Will definitely be coming back anytime we need vet care! Would highly recommend to anybody in need of care for their pet. Loved the transparent pricing, and the fact you can book an appointment online is super convenient.

I took my cat, Freeman, to this vet for an annual checkup, and I couldn’t have been happier with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff immediately recognized him and started baby-talking to him. They clearly love animals and made him feel at ease right away. The office itself had a very minimal, almost secret-room vibe—like I had stepped into a hidden, top-tier clinic. But what stood out the most was how professional and thorough they were. They explained everything I needed to know, laid out my options clearly, and made sure I understood what was best for Freeman. It really felt like they treated him as if he were their own pet. If you’re looking for a vet that combines expertise with genuine care, this is the place. Highly recommend!
